I have to say, Chancellor Liu Ning’s argument convinced the Divine Dragon Empress.
Of course, the main thing was that Ye Wushuang had actually managed to subdue the Old Ancestor of the Demon Blade. The Divine Dragon Empress hadn’t seen that coming either.
With the Old Ancestor of the Demon Blade now in the Divine Dragon Empire, the whole situation was completely different.
Having such a powerful being on their side meant that no matter what kind of opponent they faced, they could deal with it easily.
Unless some other Invincible Supreme Being showed up, it would be hard for anyone to pose a real threat to the Divine Dragon Empire.
But then again, why would a true Invincible Supreme Being bother attacking the Old Ancestor of the Demon Blade instead of the Divine Dragon Empress herself? Without the Empress around, why would they even target the Demon Blade Ancestor?
Thinking this over, the Divine Dragon Empress fell into deep thought.
Then, she quietly sent a telepathic message to Ye Wushuang:
“What do you think about all this?”
“I agree with Master. After we leave, it really will reduce the trouble for the Divine Dragon Empire.”
“Plus, my cultivation has been advancing too quickly. I really do need some practical experience.”
“But if we go out, what about your cultivation resources?”
“I can take some resources with me this time. For the rest, like I said before, we can just rob them from the other major powers. So, what do you say? Interested in doing that with me?”
“Robbing other powers… that’s not out of the question.”
To be honest, the Divine Dragon Empress didn’t really have anything against robbing other powers.
It’s just that before, Ye Wushuang needed such an enormous amount of cultivation resources that she couldn’t be bothered to go after the smaller factions.
So, she ended up targeting only the powers near the Divine Dragon Empire.
And that, in some ways, had led to the current situation the empire was facing.
From a certain perspective, the Empress’s current troubles were partly a result of her own past raids.
Now, hearing Ye Wushuang invite her to go out together, she was genuinely tempted.
But there was still a little worry in her heart.
“What if our enemies are determined to keep targeting our Divine Dragon Empire, using it as bait to force us to come back?”
“That doesn’t matter. We both know the ‘Array’ character secret technique. Coming back to the Divine Dragon Empire would be a piece of cake.”
“You could even come back once every single day if you wanted to, no problem at all.”
Given Ye Wushuang’s mastery of the ‘Array’ technique, he really could return to the Divine Dragon Empire every day.
Hearing this, the Divine Dragon Empress’s eyes lit up immediately.
Only then did she remember that they possessed the ‘Array’ secret technique.
Whenever they wanted, they could quickly return to the empire in an instant.
Thinking of this, the Empress’s heart relaxed completely.
After that, she swapped bodies back with Ye Wushuang and said to Chancellor Liu Ning:
“Alright, then. We’ll go out and travel for a while, temper ourselves, and strive to break through to the Sovereign Realm as soon as possible.”
“That’s the right attitude. Once you both reach the Sovereign Realm, all the problems will naturally solve themselves.”
“When that time comes, the two of you working together—absolutely no one will be able to withstand your power.”
The talent the Divine Dragon Empress had already shown was plenty terrifying.
If she were to fully grow into her power, she would surely shake the entire world.
But Chancellor Liu Ning also believed that Ye Wushuang was in no way weaker than the Empress.
Even though he hadn’t created any major doctrines or techniques, Liu Ning had a feeling that if Ye Wushuang grew to his full potential, he might even surpass the Divine Dragon Empress.
And if both of them reached their peak… their combined combat power went without saying.
Even Liu Ning couldn’t help but feel excited at the thought.
Ye Wushuang and the Divine Dragon Empress, however, were unaware of this excitement.
And after they made their decision to leave, they did indeed depart five days later.
But their departure wasn’t secret or sneaky. It was completely open and aboveboard.
Not only did Chancellor Liu Ning see them off, but the court ministers also came to bid them farewell.
Many of the common people also knew that their Divine Dragon Empress needed to go out for training.
Though they didn’t fully understand this sudden decision, it didn’t lessen their love for the Empress.
And so, when it came time to say goodbye, many citizens showed up on their own.
Afterward, Ye Wushuang and the Divine Dragon Empress slowly faded from everyone’s sight, bit by bit, until they completely disappeared—both from view and, it seemed, from the world itself.
Many people were secretly watching the Empress’s movements, wanting to know if she was really leaving the Divine Dragon Empire, and more importantly, where she was going.
But they only followed the pair for a short while before losing track of them.
Ye Wushuang and the Empress were simply too fast. No one could keep up.
After that, they concealed their auras entirely, and no one knew where they were.
One thing, however, became clear: the Divine Dragon Empress had truly left the empire.
This realization struck many as deeply regrettable.
“Damn it! We arrived just one step too late. If we had gotten here sooner, we could have intercepted them!”
“They must have known we, the people of Yemo Tian, were coming for them, so they left in such a hurry. How cunning!”
“The talents of the Divine Dragon Empress and Ye Wushuang are far too astonishing. If those two are allowed to grow, they’ll pose an enormous threat to us in Yemo Tian. So, no matter what method we use, we have to eliminate them!”
If the Empress and Ye Wushuang had delayed even a little longer, a large number of Yemo Tian’s experts would have surrounded them.
Even if it meant fully exposing themselves, those experts would have moved to kill them.
The two of them were simply too great a threat to the Yemo Tian cosmos.
People with that level of threat could not be allowed to live.
But now that both had vanished, the situation was entirely different.
They had no choice but to track down the Empress and Ye Wushuang. Only then could they eliminate them.
And so, the high-ranking Yemo Tian operatives hiding in the Tian Yuan cosmos issued a direct, uncompromising order:
“Spare no expense. Find the Divine Dragon Empress and Ye Wushuang. They must be nipped in the bud!”
If they could crush the Empress and Ye Wushuang before they fully matured, it would be a monumental victory for Yemo Tian.
And by leaving so suddenly, the Empress and Ye Wushuang had actually saved the Yemo Tian people some trouble.
At least now they didn’t have to try to kill them while they were still heavily protected within the Two Realms Mountain.
