Lin Hai dropped Lin Wen off at home. He had just sat down when his phone rang again.
He picked it up and saw that it was Ye Ziyu calling.
“Brother Ye, what’s up?”
“Xiao Hai, my mom’s illness is completely cured. She says she’s never felt this comfortable in her life. Thank you so much.” Ye Ziyu’s voice was full of emotion.
“Brother Ye, you’re too kind.” Lin Hai smiled.
“Um, about the golden needles on my mom…”
“Oh, I’ll head over right now.” Lin Hai slapped his forehead—he had completely forgotten about that.
Lin Hai got in his car and drove to Ye Ziyu’s home.
“Mr. Lin.” As soon as Lin Hai arrived, Ye Feng and Ye Ziyu came over to greet him, their faces full of respect.
The angina that had plagued A Fang for half her life had actually been cured in just two days. This made Ye Feng and Ye Ziyu understand even more just how formidable Lin Hai was. Maintaining a good relationship with someone like him was absolutely a safeguard for one’s life.
“Let’s go inside.” Lin Hai smiled and waved his hand.
“Mr. Lin, thank you so much.” A Fang was already able to get up. Her expression was much more relaxed than before, and she clearly looked to be in good spirits.
“Auntie, no need to be so polite. Your optimism is truly admirable.” Lin Hai said as he removed the golden needles from her body.
“Mr. Lin, A Fang’s illness, in the future…” Ye Feng hesitated, wanting to speak but stopping himself.
“Don’t worry, it’s been completely cured. It won’t come back.” Lin Hai said calmly.
“Oh, wonderful!” Ye Feng and A Fang were overjoyed, their hands tightly clasped together, hearts overflowing with excitement.
This illness had tormented A Fang since she was young. Ye Feng had watched it happen, and it pained him deeply. It had been a constant worry for both of them their entire lives.
They never expected that with a gentle touch of Lin Hai’s needles, this stubborn disease that had left doctors all over the world helpless would be eliminated. How could the two of them not be happy?
“Mr. Lin, if there’s ever anything the Ye family can do for you, please don’t hesitate to ask. Ye Feng will never refuse!” Ye Feng said earnestly.
“Mr. Ye, you’re too kind. I have some things to take care of, so I’ll be on my way.” Lin Hai nodded toward the Ye family and turned to leave.
“Hm?” After just two steps, Lin Hai suddenly felt something strange.
“Uncle Ye, have you been feeling a bit off these past two days?” Lin Hai looked at Ye Feng and asked curiously.
“No, why? Is there something wrong with me, Mr. Lin?” Ye Feng was startled, and at the same time frightened by Lin Hai’s words.
Lin Hai was a genuine miracle doctor. Could it be that he had discovered some kind of problem with his health?
“Nothing, I was just asking casually.” Lin Hai frowned and shook his head.
“Oh, that’s good then.” Ye Feng let out a breath of relief.
Lin Hai left the Ye household and drove away.
He hadn’t gone far when he pulled over to the side of the road. With a thought, he vanished from the car on the spot.
“Xian’er welcomes Master!”
In the Moon Lake Sacred Realm, Xian’er, wearing a qipao, smiled warmly and bowed to Lin Hai.
“Xian’er, was that you calling me just now?” Lin Hai asked.
“Yes, Master.” Xian’er nodded.
“What did you mean about the soul imprint?”
“You know that our Sacred Realm is especially sensitive to souls. Before you became Master, it autonomously healed your soul wounds twice.”
“Yes, those were the two times I used the Golden Needle Soul Crossing technique to save people.” Lin Hai nodded.
“Mm, just now, I sensed a strange soul fluctuation. The soul of the person you were facing seemed to have been tampered with, so Xian’er reminded you to be extra careful.”
“Tampered with!” Lin Hai’s pupils suddenly contracted when he heard this.
“What do you mean, the soul was tampered with?”
“It means the soul has been controlled by someone through some means. Xian’er only sensed it—I can’t explain the specifics clearly. In any case, that person might be in danger.” Xian’er said with a worried expression.
“Alright, I understand.” Lin Hai nodded solemnly.
“Master, our Sacred Realm can counteract all kinds of soul magic. If you encounter a soul-type attack, the Sacred Realm will automatically help you dissolve it. You can rest assured, Master.”
“Alright, I understand.”
After leaving the Sacred Realm, Lin Hai felt puzzled. Controlling souls was not something an ordinary person could do. Could Ye Feng have offended some kind of extraordinary individual?
He got in his car and drove to school.
As soon as he entered the dormitory, Wang Peng and the others pounced over.
“Hai Zi, Liu Xinyue’s going to compete in the Youth Singing Competition tomorrow! The guys in the dorm talked it over—we’re all going to the venue to cheer for her!”
“Right, we’re all going! We’re supporting our sister-in-law to win the championship!”
“Liu Liang’s covering all the tickets. Rare to see this guy being so generous for once.”
“What are you talking about? I’ve always been generous, okay?” Liu Liang laughed and scolded.
Lin Hai felt warmth in his heart. “Thanks, brothers.”
“Hey, no need for that. You guys chat first, I’m going to buy tickets.” Liu Liang turned to head out.
“Buy tickets? No need for that.” Lin Hai stopped Liu Liang.
“Hai Zi, that’s not right of you. Last time you helped my family out big time. I’m just going to buy a few tickets and go with the guys to cheer for sister-in-law. You can’t deny me that chance.”
“You misunderstood, Liang Zi.” Lin Hai shook his head and pulled some tickets out of his pocket.
“I’ve already prepared the tickets. I came specifically to give them to you guys.” Lin Hai waved the tickets in his hand.
“You—you already bought them all?” Liu Liang slapped his thigh. “I had my dad find someone to reserve second-row seats. If it weren’t for the fact that some big shot snatched up all the first-row seats, I would’ve gotten us all first row.”
“Take a look, what row are these?” Lin Hai’s lips curled into a playful smile.
“Don’t tell me you bought all second-row seats. That’s way too extravagant. We really just—” Liu Liang took the tickets and before he could finish speaking, he froze. His mouth hung wide open as he stared at Lin Hai in shock.
“What’s wrong, Liang Zi? You know your expression looks totally dumb right now, right?” Wang Peng waved his hand in front of Liu Liang’s face.
“Shut up, you fat pig. You’re the dumb one.” Liu Liang kicked Wang Peng, then looked at Lin Hai in disbelief.
“Holy crap, Hai Zi, so you’re the big shot?” Liu Liang said with a strange look on his face.
“Big shot or not, just hand out the tickets to everyone. Bring your girlfriends too.” Lin Hai smiled and shook his head.
At that point, everyone crowded around, scrambling to look at the dozen or so tickets in Liu Liang’s hand.
“Holy shit, they’re all first row!”
“Didn’t they say first-row tickets were completely sold out?”
“Yeah, I heard some big shot bought them all.”
“Holy crap, don’t you guys get it yet? Our Hai Zi is that big shot!”
“Badass, Hai Zi!” The guys swarmed over, bombarding Lin Hai with questions.
“I’m going to find Xinyue. You all better be there tomorrow.” Lin Hai found an excuse and quickly escaped.
“Xiao Li, we’re going to the Youth Singing Competition tomorrow. Mm-hmm, I’ve already got the tickets. Haha, you’ll never guess which row—I’ll give you a surprise when the time comes.”
“Hey, Iron Hammer sister, you wanted second-row tickets for the Youth Singing Competition? They don’t have second row. What? Third row is fine too? But they don’t have third row either. Hey hey, don’t curse at me. I’ve got plenty of first-row tickets. So annoying. So cheesy…”
The guys in the dorm all called their girlfriends one by one to share the good news.
Only Wang Peng stood there clutching two tickets, feeling depressed.
“Damn, being single really sucks. Who am I supposed to give these tickets to?” Wang Peng casually glanced downstairs, and then his eyes went wide.
