Ye Ziming got out of the car with a hideous scowl on his face and strode to the front of the crowd of burly men.
“Lin Hai, you son of a bitch—you actually dared to hit me? Today, I’m going to kill you!”
Lin Hai swept his gaze over the men in front of him and let out a disdainful snort.
“With these small fries?”
“Who the hell are you calling small fries?!”
“We’re from Tianhe Gang. You got a death wish or something?”
Before Ye Ziming could even speak, the burly men started hurling threats left and right, their voices fierce and aggressive.
“Tianhe Gang!” Guang Tou Qiang’s pupils suddenly contracted.
“Master, this Tianhe Gang is no ordinary group. They’re one of the four major underground powers in Jiangnan City, with over ten thousand members. They’re nothing like a small-time outfit like Black Eagle Society.”
“Tianhe Gang?” Lin Hai curled his lip. “Tianhe Gang or Dihe Gang—doesn’t matter to me. Since they’ve come looking for trouble, why should I be polite?”
“Alright, enough with the yapping. You sound like a bunch of old women. You came here to fight, didn’t you? Hurry it up—I’ve got things to do after I knock you all down.” Lin Hai impatiently curled his fingers in a “come at me” gesture.
“Ha! You’re pretty cocky, huh? Let’s see if you’re still that cocky after we put you on the ground. Go!” The man in the lead, wearing shades, waved his hand, and the group of burly men charged forward.
“Brother Mo, this kid’s really skilled—he took down over a dozen hotel security guards all by himself!” Ye Ziming quickly reminded him from the side.
“Tch, hotel security guards? They’re nothing. Can they compare to my brothers?” Mo Yu curled his lips dismissively.
“Son of a bitch! You dare lay a hand on my master? You’ll have to get through me first!” Seeing the men charge at Lin Hai, Guang Tou Qiang panicked and threw himself into the fray.
“Don’t use your left foot!” Lin Hai quickly called out.
Damn it. That hotheaded fool Guang Tou Qiang—if he kicked someone with his left foot, that’d be a death sentence for sure.
Guang Tou Qiang already had a foundation in martial arts; his only problem was not having access to good techniques to practice. Now, after three days of intense training in Foshan No-Shadow Kick—and on the original manual, no less, complete with Huang Feihong’s own annotations and insights—he had mastered the first move to perfection.
Slap, slap, slap! Guang Tou Qiang’s right foot tapped rapidly, sending out several afterimages of kicks in an instant. The men at the front were sent tumbling to the ground.
“Holy crap! Foshan No-Shadow Kick!” Mo Yu, standing at the back, jolted in shock, his eyes nearly popping out of his head.
“Everyone, stop!” Mo Yu bellowed.
The men, confused, halted one by one.
But just because they stopped didn’t mean Guang Tou Qiang would.
This was his first time using Foshan No-Shadow Kick against real opponents, and he was having way too much fun. He hadn’t gotten his fix yet—no way was he stopping now!
Thump, thump, thump!
A few more kicks flew out, and in an instant, several more men were down on the ground.
“What the hell?! I said stop, and you’re still hitting?!” Mo Yu was so furious his nose almost went crooked.
“Tch, you say stop and I stop? Why the hell should I listen to you?” Guang Tou Qiang shot back as he charged straight at another few men.
Thump, thump, thump!
“Ow! Damn it, you cheap-shot bastard!”
Just like that, several more hit the floor.
“You—you’re just too damn despicable!” Mo Yu looked around and realized—crap, what a disaster.
In no time at all, every single one of the men he’d brought was flat on the ground.
For crying out loud. If he’d known this would happen, why the hell did he even yell “stop” in the first place?
This bald guy in front of him—he didn’t play by the rules at all!
“Hahahaha, that felt amazing!” Guang Tou Qiang looked at the pile of men he’d kicked down, and his joy was beyond words.
“Hey, they’re all down. Why aren’t you coming over?” Guang Tou Qiang kicked the air a few times, showing off, and tilted his chin at Mo Yu in blatant provocation.
Mo Yu stared coldly at Guang Tou Qiang, his brow furrowed, deep in thought.
“What’s your connection with Brother Bing?” After a long pause, Mo Yu finally spoke.
“Brother Bing? Who’s that—some ice cream vendor?”
Pfft!
Mo Yu nearly spat blood. This bastard actually called the head of the five tigers of Tianhe Gang, Brother Bing, an ice cream vendor?
“You don’t know Brother Bing?” Mo Yu asked, his voice laced with doubt.
“What the hell is this ‘Brother Bing’ nonsense? Are we fighting or not? You’ve already got me itching for a fight—I’m not letting you off that easily.” Guang Tou Qiang rubbed his bald head and said.
“You’re sure you really don’t know Brother Bing?” Mo Yu still couldn’t believe it.
“Man, are you sick in the head? I already told you I don’t know him, and you keep asking.”
“Then who taught you Foshan No-Shadow Kick?” Mo Yu asked, puzzled.
“You an idiot or what? If I’m the student, obviously my master taught me.” For once, Guang Tou Qiang felt a towering sense of intellectual superiority.
“Your master taught you? Who’s your master?”
“Right over there.” Guang Tou Qiang pointed at Lin Hai.
“Him? He’s your master?” Mo Yu took one look at Lin Hai and couldn’t see any sign of a trained fighter.
“Hey, are you fighting me or not?” Guang Tou Qiang was running out of patience. “If you’re not making a move, then I will!”
With that, Guang Tou Qiang suddenly lunged forward and threw a kick.
“Whoa!” Mo Yu hadn’t expected this bald bastard to strike without warning—and the kick was fast and vicious. Before he could even react, it was already right in front of him.
Too late to dodge, Mo Yu quickly raised his arm to protect his face.
Bang!
The kick landed on Mo Yu’s arm. He staggered back four or five steps before steadying himself, his eyes wide with shock.
“Damn, you didn’t fall? Here comes another one!” Guang Tou Qiang used the exact same move and threw another kick.
“Seriously? Again?!” Mo Yu couldn’t dodge in time and raised his arm once more.
Bang!
Mo Yu stumbled back several more steps, his arm going numb.
“Oh? Still standing? One more!” Guang Tou Qiang kicked again.
“Are you kidding me? Can’t you switch it up?!” Mo Yu was so frustrated he almost spat blood.
He hurriedly raised his arm to block again.
“Damn. Blocked again. Kick!”
“I block!”
“Kick again!”
“I block again!”
“Kick again!”
“Block again!”
Guang Tou Qiang and Mo Yu locked into a deadlock—kick after kick, driving Mo Yu all the way back to the wall.
Mo Yu was seething inside. This bald bastard—back and forth with the same move—but it was so fast and fierce that he couldn’t dodge in time. He’d been forced into this pathetic corner, and just thinking about it was mortifying.
“Keep kicking!”
“Keep blocking!”
Crack!
A crisp sound of bone breaking rang out.
Mo Yu let out a pained grunt. His arm suddenly went limp, and Guang Tou Qiang’s kick landed square on his chest, sending him sliding down the wall to the ground.
Mo Yu was full of resentment. God damn it—he had a whole arsenal of martial arts techniques, but he never even got the chance to use them. He’d been beaten into a fracture by this brute using the same damn move over and over.
“Can you just use a different move?! It’s the same kick over and over—what’s the point?!” Mo Yu sat on the ground, his face twisted with frustration.
“What the hell do you expect? This is the only move I know! What else am I supposed to use?” Guang Tou Qiang gave Mo Yu’s butt another kick for good measure.
Pfft!
“You only know that one move?! I swear to God!” Mo Yu was so pissed he nearly passed out.
What a total waste. All those years of hard training, summer and winter, and he got taken down by some moron who only knew one stupid move.
It was too humiliating. He couldn’t even live it down.
Seeing the utterly miserable look on Mo Yu’s face, Guang Tou Qiang felt even more pleased with himself.
“So what if I only know one move? Haven’t you ever heard the saying—’One trick, and you’re set for life’?” Guang Tou Qiang rocked up on his tiptoes, smug as could be.
“Fine. You win.” Mo Yu gave him a helpless thumbs-up, even though inside he was absolutely fuming.
Lin Hai watched from the side and found the whole scene hilarious. He had to admit, these guys had really drawn the short straw.
If Mo Yu hadn’t called “stop” earlier, and the whole group had swarmed him at once, Guang Tou Qiang might have knocked down a few, but eventually he would’ve been taken down himself. But no—Mo Yu just had to go and screw himself over by yelling “stop.” And of course, he just so happened to run into someone like Guang Tou Qiang, who didn’t give a damn about rules. And so, all of them ended up completely screwed.
Lin Hai was still chuckling when suddenly his gaze sharpened, and a cold smile curled at the corner of his mouth.
“Trying to leave? Not so fast.”
