“What’s up, Yunyun?” Lin Hai was surprised—he’d never seen his sister this excited before.
“Bro! My idol, Qin Shou, is coming to Jiangnan City! Ahhhhh, I’m so hyped!” Lin Yun clenched her little fists and let out an excited shriek.
Pfft!
Who who who? Qin Shou? Damn, someone actually had that name?
“Uh, Yunyun, which zoo is this Qin Shou from?”
“What are you saying, bro? Stop it! Don’t make fun of my idol!” Lin Yun pouted and shot Lin Hai a glare.
“Qin Shou? Isn’t that the actor who’s always rumored to be involved with his fans?” Bald Qiang chimed in from the side.
“Hey, if you don’t know, don’t spout nonsense! Those are all made up by the paparazzi, alright? Always ruining my idol’s image, hmph!”
“Master’s Aunt, but I think it’s true? They say this Qin Shou specifically targets his fans. I remember one time on TV it said—”
“Hey!” Before Bald Qiang could finish, Lin Yun cut him off roughly. “Stop bad-mouthing my idol!!!”
“Alright, alright, Master’s Aunt, I’ll stop. Please call off your Lion’s Roar.” Bald Qiang’s eardrums were about to burst.
“And stop calling me Master’s Aunt! Am I that old?” Lin Yun planted her hands on her slim waist, fuming.
“Okay, I won’t call you that anymore, Master’s Aunt.”
“I said stop calling me that, and you still called me that!”
“I didn’t call you that, Master’s Aunt?”
“Ah, and you’re still saying you didn’t!!!”
“I really didn’t call you that, Master’s Aunt!”
“Ah…”
Lin Hai watched from the side and couldn’t help but snicker.
Damn, this scene felt way too familiar.
“Alright, enough with this argument.” Lin Hai quickly covered his stomach, holding back laughter, and stepped in to stop them.
Damn, arguing with a guy like Bald Qiang would drive anyone crazy.
“No, Master, Master’s Aunt is being unreasonable—”
“There you go again—”
“Master’s Aunt, I didn’t—mmph—”
“Stop, stop, stop!” Lin Hai quickly covered Bald Qiang’s mouth. Damn, if this kept up, they wouldn’t get anything done all morning.
“Bro, Qin Shou’s arriving today. Take me to the airport to welcome him, okay?” Lin Yun grabbed Lin Hai’s arm and acted cute.
“Welcome him?” Lin Hai really didn’t understand what went on in the heads of these fangirls. He was just an actor, for crying out loud. Was it really that big of a deal?
“Oh, come on, just take me, please? He’s my idol, pretty please, bro~” Lin Yun shook Lin Hai’s arm vigorously.
“Hey, stop shaking me, or I’ll fall apart.”
“Then take me.”
“Alright, alright, I’ll take you, okay?” Lin Hai didn’t have much going on that morning anyway.
“Yay!!! That’s awesome!!!” Lin Yun jumped for joy.
She ran back to her room, spent some time getting all dolled up, and then bounced back out.
“Let’s go, bro.”
“Oh wow, our Yunyun’s become quite the beauty.” Lin Hai’s eyes lit up. He’d always seen her as a kid, but now that she was all dressed up, she was already a graceful young lady.
“Master, since you two are heading to the airport, I’ll go home and practice.” Bald Qiang had his mind on the Foshan Shadowless Kick and couldn’t wait to leave.
Lin Hai waved his hand, and Bald Qiang dashed off in a flash.
Hopping in the car, Lin Hai drove Lin Yun straight to Jiangnan International Airport.
The moment they arrived, Lin Hai was stunned by the scene before him.
“Holy crap! An actor has this much pull?”
At the airport exit, the crowd had completely clogged the place. Rows of police officers were running around trying to keep order, and the scene was pure chaos.
“Qin Shou, Qin Shou, we love you! Qin Shou, Qin Shou, we love you…”
A huge group of young girls, around the same age as Lin Yun, wearing sexy little skirts and holding glowing signs with Qin Shou’s name, were screaming their lungs out.
Lin Hai watched and couldn’t help but chuckle. Damn, the guy hadn’t even shown up yet! Was all this excitement really necessary?
“Holy crap, Yunyun, slow down!” Lin Hai pulled the car over, but before it even came to a full stop, Lin Yun had already thrown open the door and bolted out.
“Sigh.” Lin Hai shook his head. He really couldn’t understand what made these celebrities so captivating. They’d just been in a few TV shows, yet people worshipped them like crazy.
“Bro, we’re late! All the good spots are taken!” Lin Yun squeezed forward as she complained.
“Just stay here. Why do you need to be that close?” Lin Hai truly didn’t get it. It was just a glimpse of someone walking by—what difference did it make where you stood?
They waited from morning till noon, and from noon till afternoon. Lin Hai even dozed off in the car and woke up without seeing a single soul.
“Yunyun, is this Qin Shou guy even coming?” Lin Hai got out of the car and asked.
“Yeah, he is.”
“Then why hasn’t he shown up yet?”
“His plane lands at 5 PM.”
Pfft!
Lin Hai nearly face-planted. Damn, his plane landed at 5 PM, and you dragged me here first thing in the morning?
Lin Hai was honestly speechless.
They waited another hour or so.
“Whoa, look! The plane’s here!” someone suddenly shouted. Everyone looked up at the descending aircraft.
“Ahhh!!! Qin Shou, I’m about to see you!!!”
“Qin Shou, I love you! I’d do anything for you!!”
“Qin Shou, Qin Shou, wah…”
The waiting fans went absolutely berserk. Some were even crying hysterically.
“Qin Shou, Qin Shou…” Lin Yun was right there with them, on her tiptoes, screaming at the plane.
“Crazy. All of them, crazy.” Lin Hai felt like these people had all been brainwashed.
The moment the plane landed, the crowd went into a frenzy. Countless girls surged toward the exit. Police and security quickly formed a human wall, pushing back with all their might.
“He’s coming out, he’s coming out!” Another ear-splitting screech erupted, and the crowd went even wilder.
“Move it, move it!” A few burly men in black suits and sunglasses shoved through the crowd rudely, escorting a young man in a flashy floral shirt out through the VIP exit.
“Ahhh!!! Qin Shou, Qin Shou!!!!”
“Qin Shou, I love you!!!”
“Little Shou-shou, I want to have your babies!!!”
A huge crowd of girls pushed forward, unstoppable.
“Step back, all of you, step back!” The black-suited bodyguards shoved the female fans back, none too gently.
“Little Shou-shou, hold me, please hold me…”
“Little Shou-shou, please give me your autograph…”
Lin Hai watched from the side, sweating buckets. All these girls were young and vibrant, but damn, where did their dignity go?
“Little Shou-shou, screw me!” Suddenly, a high-pitched female voice rang out from behind Lin Hai.
“Good lord, so blunt, so bold!” Lin Hai turned around to see a chubby girl who had to weigh at least two hundred pounds bulldoze her way to the front and rip off her own top.
“Little Shou-shou, come on, be rough with me!”
Before she could finish, a bodyguard shoved her in the face, sending her tumbling to the ground, taking two others down with her.
“Step back, step back! Watch out for people getting trampled!” The cops saw the trouble coming.
They rushed over and shielded the chubby girl and the fallen ones with their bodies. Otherwise, the crowd behind would have trampled them for sure.
Even with the police acting fast, those unlucky souls still caught a few kicks, each one covered in footprints.
That chubby girl’s stunt threw the whole scene into chaos.
Suddenly, a student-looking type shoved through the crowd and charged to the front.
“Dearest Shou-shou, here I come~”
Lin Hai looked up and—holy crap—it was him!
