“Alright, so now if we substitute the coordinates of point X into point P, we can get…”
A teacher with a distinctive receding hairline stood at the podium, trying to transfer the knowledge from his own brain to the students in the classroom.
However, most of the students listening to his explanation were either confused or even more confused.
Take our Bai Xiaocha, for example.
“Xia Yue, did you understand? Why does our math teacher teach in English every single class!”
The little blue-haired girl fidgeted in her seat, her little head utterly incapable of absorbing anything about coordinates or drawing auxiliary lines.
“I didn’t get it either. Who knows what he’s talking about.”
Xia Yue also looked troubled. She had no idea what kind of university her math scores would even get her into.
Sure, her brother was rich now and could support her for life, but she couldn’t really be a freeloader forever, right? If her brother got married someday and she had a sister-in-law, it would be really awkward if she still clung to them shamelessly.
Besides, that would make her brother the reverse version of that ‘brother who supports his sister’ trope – a ‘brother supporting his sister’!
“You two are really… Sigh, I’ll explain it to you after class.”
Leng Xiyu was speechless at her two silly roommates.
“Hehe, thanks in advance, Xiyu jie~”
The two little girls didn’t stand on ceremony with their tall, cool roommate. After all, that’s what roommates are for – helping each other out.
“Xiyu jie, I’ll treat you to some snacks~”
Bai Xiaocha said as she reached her hand into her desk drawer, trying to pull out a pack of cookies for her dear Xiyu jie.
“Hmm… this pack is already eaten… this pack is eaten too…”
She felt around left and right, but all she touched were empty wrappers. She didn’t think much of it, just assuming she had eaten them herself and left the wrappers in the drawer.
But gradually, she realized something was wrong.
“Why are ALL the snacks in my drawer EMPTY!!!”
The little blue-haired girl was furious!
“Xia Yue! Was it YOU?! Did you eat them!!!”
She pressed her hand down on her deskmate’s thigh, her expression as fierce as a little tiger’s ~
“Don’t accuse me! I’m not like some certain silly little loli, always munching on something like a little foodie.”
Xia Yue shot her a disdainful look.
Yeah right. How could she, the esteemed Xia Yue, ever stoop to stealing snacks from a silly loli?
Well… if the opportunity presented itself, having a little taste wouldn’t hurt~
But Bai Xiaocha, aside from going to the cafeteria or PE class, basically sat at her desk the whole time, using her body to block the view. When would Xia Yue ever get a chance to steal snacks?
“Who are you calling a silly loli?! You idiot Xia Yue!”
“Whoever’s getting all worked up is the silly loli~”
“Xia Yue!”
Bai Xiaocha felt like she was being driven crazy by Xia Yue. First, her snacks were stolen, making her super annoyed, and now Xia Yue was teasing her, turning her into a little puffball with puffed-out cheeks, a bit like a hamster with its mouth full of food.
Bai Xiaocha reached into the desk again and fumbled around. Finally, refusing to believe it, she got off her chair entirely, crouched down, and stared wide-eyed into the drawer, completely ignoring the teacher lecturing at the podium.
The teacher was in the middle of an exciting part of his lesson and didn’t have time to deal with whatever small movement a student was making.
After all, he couldn’t waste the whole class’s time for just one student, right?
“Let me see… which little mouse dares to eat my snacks, the Snack Queen…”
Xia Xi, who had been bored and sleeping in the desk, suddenly felt a big hand grab his entire body. Then a tremendous force yanked him out of the drawer.
The violent shaking woke him up. When he opened his eyes, he only saw a pair of big eyes staring at him with intense shock.
“Uh… hi… hello~”
Spitting out the small cookie he was still holding in his mouth, Xia Xi raised his hand a little awkwardly and waved, offering a greeting.
“Xia Yue!”
Bai Xiaocha held Xia Xi in her palm and kept poking Xia Yue’s fair thigh with her index finger.
“What? Don’t tell me you found ‘evidence’ of me stealing snacks?”
Impossible! The esteemed Xia Yue only took one pack of her cookies! With this silly loli’s IQ, there’s no way she should have figured it out!
“No, no, it’s not that… Uh… how should I put this…”
Bai Xiaocha’s brain was short-circuiting. She didn’t know how to explain it.
“It’s just… that figurine you gave me… is secretly eating my little cookies…”
Hearing Bai Xiaocha say this, Xia Yue felt a bit speechless and reached out to touch the former’s forehead.
“Xiao Cha, do you have a fever? Did that ghost guy mess with your head too much at noon today? How can you say something so crazy? How could a figurine possibly eat your snacks?”
As if to prove her point, Xia Yue also slid down in her seat and looked towards Bai Xiaocha’s palm.
“What are you looking at? Call me Princess!”
As soon as these words popped out, Xia Xi immediately covered his mouth with his hand.
He hadn’t meant to say that just now. He only wanted to politely greet her again, but somehow, his mouth moved on its own and blurted out “Call me Princess.”
[The system has helped solidify the host’s identity as Princess. Hope you have fun~]
Xia Xi: ……
See? This is why he kept saying he didn’t WANT to be some Princess!!!
“Xiao Cha…”
Xia Yue sat back in her chair shakily, her expression a bit dazed.
“What’s up?”
Bai Xiaocha also sat up straight, holding the Hatsune Miku figurine that called itself Princess in her hand.
“Do you think… maybe we ate too many wild mushrooms at noon and are hallucinating? I just saw a Hatsune Miku figurine come to life and demand I call her Princess!”
Xia Yue reached out and pinched the flesh on Bai Xiaocha’s cheek, causing the little loli to yelp in pain and attract the attention of the surrounding classmates.
Because of the sudden pain, her cry was a bit too loud. Even the teacher, who was lecturing enthusiastically at the podium, glanced their way.
“Sorry, sorry! A little bug just scared me~”
Bai Xiaocha shot Xia Yue a fierce glare, then clasped her hands together and apologized repeatedly towards the teacher.
Fortunately, the teacher didn’t pursue it and just continued with the lesson.
Seeing that her classmates were no longer focused on them, Bai Xiaocha finally whispered her complaint to Xia Yue.
“What did you do that for? That was so embarrassing just now!”
Xia Yue just grinned sheepishly and scratched her cheek a little awkwardly.
“I was just trying to test if this is reality or a dream~”
Bai Xiaocha was so annoyed by this excuse she let out a humorless laugh, pointing at her nose and cursing in a babyish voice.
“Well then why didn’t you pinch YOUR OWN face?! You BAKA!”
Even though it was Xia Yue who caused the trouble, the one who really suffered was still Xia Xi.
He… found himself being scrutinized by two pairs of big, round, bewildered eyes.
