They arrived at a private room. Yu Xiaoduo slammed the door shut hard. Gu Wan’er shook off his hand, frowned, and rubbed her wrist. “What are you doing? You’re hurting me.”
“Are you stupid or something? How could you sign that agreement? If you fall to your death, she wouldn’t even have to take responsibility.” Yu Xiaoduo swore angrily. It’s like something took a bite out of his brain. A trap this big – no sane person would jump into it.
Gu Wan’er snapped back coldly, “So you expect me to go back with my tail between my legs, face the ruthless mockery of those old men at the company, and the disdain of my family? They’ll just arrange some disgusting man for me to use as a baby-making machine!”
“That’s still better than getting smashed into a pulp. That’s a flesh-and-blood bike against metal, you know how to ride it?” Yu Xiaoduo furrowed his brow and growled.
“I’d rather die in a crash than take that abuse.”
Looking at Gu Wan’er’s stubborn expression, it seemed like she was seeing red. But he could also understand how she must be feeling right now.
“Stop rambling. Just teach me how to ride. I learn fast. Once I win, you get yourself a free little wife on the side.”
Yu Xiaoduo was so exasperated he laughed. He pulled out a chair, sat down, and took out a cigarette. This time, Gu Wan’er didn’t stop him from smoking.
