Qu Mei had been in the industry for a long time. She’d been popular a few years back when she was young and pretty, but as time passed, she was no longer what she used to be. Her fame had faded, and she didn’t have any good resources anymore. Now she’d finally landed a role, and it turned out to be the vicious female second lead.
“Sister Mei, that Mo Cheng is no good either. He’s always trying to cop a feel. You’ve suffered at his hands too.” The little assistant was also standing up for her boss.
Qu Mei said nothing. When you’re under someone’s roof, you have to bow your head. Mo Cheng had serious backing, and she couldn’t afford to offend him. Compared to getting felt up, resources were more important. If he had big resources to offer, she could look the other way if he wanted to do other things too. She was practical about it.
While the two were talking, they suddenly heard Gu Yun’er let out a sharp cry, and the male lead, Mo Cheng, was pushed to the ground in a sorry heap.
Even though he looked pathetic, that face of his was genuinely handsome. Unfortunately, it was now twisted into something ugly as he pointed at Gu Yun’er and yelled, “You actually dared to push me!”
“Mo Cheng, keep your hands to yourself. I’ve warned you more than once or twice.” Gu Yun’er was furious. Mo Cheng had been harassing her since the start of filming. She’d originally wanted to talk to her sister about it, but her sister was busy enough as it was, so she didn’t want to bother her. If she could handle it herself, she wouldn’t trouble her sister.
But Mo Cheng showed no sign of stopping. He even used the scenes they were filming to push things further. She really couldn’t take it anymore, so she shoved him. Who knew this man was so fragile that he actually fell?
When the two leads started arguing, the director and crew members hurried over to mediate. Mo Cheng had scraped his elbow, which made him even more furious. It was so humiliating.
“You bitch! You actually hurt me! Who do you think you are? Me taking a liking to you is your blessing, and you’re still playing the saint here!”
“You’re just a creep!” Gu Yun’er couldn’t find any other words and glared at Mo Cheng as she snapped.
Mo Cheng burst out laughing. “Fine. Today I’ll show you what a creep really looks like!”
The director quickly stepped in. “Young Master Mo, let it go, let it go. Yun’er doesn’t know any better. Don’t be angry.”
That was when Qu Mei walked over and said with a delicate smile, “She’s not a minor. If she doesn’t know better, then teach her. Either way, pushing someone is wrong. Hurry up and apologize to Young Master Mo. Tonight, have a good drink with him as an apology.”
Mo Cheng snorted coldly, seemingly waiting for the stubborn Gu Yun’er to apologize and admit she was wrong, then accompany him well at night, and the matter would be dropped.
The crew members around seemed to take Mo Cheng’s side and started persuading Gu Yun’er. Of course, some meant well—offend Young Master Mo and you’d have hell to pay. Last year, Young Master Mo had taken a liking to a newcomer. She’d rather die than give in, and now she’d vanished without a trace.
Listening to the voices around her, Gu Yun’er felt isolated, but it didn’t make her afraid.
“I won’t apologize to you. You’re just a creep!”
Mo Cheng’s face turned savage. He walked right up to Gu Yun’er and raised his palm to slap her hard.
Gu Yun’er had learned a bit of self-defense. Before the slap could land, she delivered a direct kick to his groin.
Mo Cheng curled up like a cooked shrimp, clutching his crotch and rolling around howling. “Grab this bitch for me! I’m going to have my way with her today!”
A few of his lackeys rushed out, and the scene was about to spiral out of control.
Qu Mei immediately spoke up. “Yun’er! Look at what you’ve done. Physical contact during filming is normal. If you can’t even accept that, then I don’t think you should be filming at all. And now you’re hitting people!”
“You’re a bad woman too!”
Qu Mei flew into a rage when she heard that, as if someone had stepped on her tail. “You’re beyond saving!”
Surrounded by three men, Gu Yun’er was still relatively calm, but fear was starting to creep in.
Mo Cheng, who’d been rolling on the ground, managed to struggle to his feet and slowly walked over with a pained expression. “Today I’ll let you know just how miserable the consequences are for offending me, Mo Cheng!”
Gu Yun’er remembered what her sister had told her: if there are a lot of bad people, run and yell for help.
But just as Gu Yun’er turned to run, Mo Cheng grabbed her headpiece and yanked it hard.
As the headpiece fell, Yun’er was thrown to the ground, her long hair scattering everywhere. Everyone gasped, but no one dared make a sound.
“Still want to run? Let’s see you run now!”
Watching Mo Cheng approach step by step, Gu Yun’er glared at him fiercely.
“You still dare to glare at me!” Mo Cheng raised his arm.
But this time, the slap still didn’t land. With a yelp, he clutched his head and plopped down on the ground.
“Who was that!” The lackeys immediately looked around. Someone actually threw a rock at Young Master Mo!
Before the lackey could even finish shouting, he hit the ground with a thud and a yelp, a stone dropping to the ground.
The other two were a bit shaken, looking around in panic. Two more stones flew over and hit them square in the forehead with loud thwacks.
Gu Yun’er’s mouth formed an O. Was Brother Li here? Wasn’t he resting outside?
The crew members around were also completely baffled. What on earth was going on?
“Yun’er.”
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang out, and Gu Yun’er, who’d been confused, felt a jolt go through her whole body. Her strong defenses instantly crumbled, and her eyes immediately welled up with tears as she looked toward the familiar voice.
Yu Xiaoduo had originally been so happy to see Yun’er. After all, it had been more than ten days. But he never expected that the moment he walked into the film set, he’d see his Yun’er on the ground with several men bullying her. He flew into a rage, picked up a stone from the ground, and hurled it.
Xiao Luan beside him felt the same. It was supposed to be a happy day, and yet here was another scene of a girl being bullied—and the one being bullied was Yun’er.
” Sister.” Yun’er propped herself up and threw herself into Yu Xiaoduo’s arms, looking utterly wronged.
Yu Xiaoduo gently stroked Yun’er’s back and comforted her. “Sister’s here. I won’t let anyone bully you.” As she spoke, her gaze swept over everyone present. These bastards had just stood there watching Yun’er get bullied!
Qu Mei looked at Yu Xiaoduo in surprise. Yun’er actually had a sister? Looking at the two of them, they really did resemble each other.
Could she have been the one who threw those stones? That accurate? And who was that beautiful woman next to her?
How come young girls these days all looked so good? They must have had plastic surgery.
Yun’er secretly glanced at Xiao Luan beside her. She still didn’t know what was going on, so she ignored Xiao Luan.
“Your sister and I have made up.” Xiao Luan’s angry face softened with affection.
Yun’er looked up at her sister. Yu Xiaoduo nodded. “Mm, we made up.”
” Sister Xiao.” Yun’er buried herself in Xiao Luan’s arms and cried even harder, which broke Xiao Luan’s heart.
Before Xiao Luan could even step in to teach them a lesson, Yu Xiaoduo had already walked toward Mo Cheng. Yun’er is my, Yu Xiaoduo’s, sister. You actually dared to push her down and were about to hit her. You probably don’t know what I, Yu Xiaoduo, used to do for a living.
At that moment, Mo Cheng was clutching his head, helped up by his lackeys.
“So you’re her sister. The sister can pay for the sister’s debt too!” Mo Cheng looked at Yu Xiaoduo in front of him. Yun’er had a sister, and they were a pair of sisters.
Yu Xiaoduo walked straight toward him. “How do you want me to pay?”
“Spend a night with me along with your sister, and I’ll let bygones be bygones.”
