Ye Ziming rushed to the ticket booth in a panic.
“Master, Ye Ziming is here,” Baldy Qiang said, spotting him from a distance with his sharp eyes.
Lin Hai didn’t even lift his eyelids, a cold sneer forming at the corner of his mouth.
He was already frustrated that Liu Shan hadn’t woken up as expected, and now this had to happen on top of it. Lin Hai was really not in a good mood.
“Where is Young Master Lin?” As soon as Ye Ziming reached the ticket checkpoint, he shouted at the staff checking tickets.
“What Young Master Lin? Who are you, yelling and screaming here? If you’ve got your ticket checked, get inside. If you don’t want to go in, get lost!” The same female ticket checker from before turned around and glared at Ye Ziming impatiently.
Ye Ziming was stunned, then gave the female ticket checker a look of disbelief.
“You’re telling me to get lost?” Ye Ziming pointed at his own nose, looking utterly incredulous.
“Yeah, are you deaf?” The female ticket checker’s expression was filled with utter disgust.
“Heh, hehe…” Ye Ziming was so angry he laughed.
“Cuihua, Cuihua, stop talking…” Another ticket checker next to her, looking terrified, quickly poked the female ticket checker.
“Why are you poking me? Check your tickets. I just can’t stand people like him who yell and scream in public, thinking they’re somebody, acting all—” The female ticket checker turned to speak to her colleague, but before she could finish, her expression suddenly changed.
“Mr. Wang? Mr. Wang?” The female ticket checker forced a smile at a man nearby.
Wang Debiao’s face was now pale as death. He had just received a call from Ye Ziming and, without knowing anything, had been chewed out by an enraged Ye Ziming. He had rushed over as fast as he could.
But who would’ve thought that the moment he arrived, he’d see this female ticket checker yelling at Ye Ziming to get lost. Wang Debiao was so scared he nearly wet his pants on the spot.
“Zhang Cuihua, what are you doing!” Wang Debiao’s veins bulged as he roared at the female ticket checker.
“Mr. Wang, this person is so uncivilized, yelling at the ticket checkpoint and disrupting order. I—I was just educating him,” Zhang Cuihua said, trembling all over from Wang Debiao’s sudden fury.
Pfft!
Wang Debiao nearly collapsed to the ground in fright.
Educate your ass! Open your damn dog eyes and see who that is! You dare say he’s uncivilized? If you don’t want to work here, don’t drag me down with you!
Wang Debiao was so angry that he walked up and slapped Zhang Cuihua right across the face.
“Get out! You’re fired!” Wang Debiao roared at Zhang Cuihua.
“F-fired?” Zhang Cuihua held her face, completely stunned by Wang Debiao’s slap.
“No, please, Mr. Wang, don’t fire me.” It took Zhang Cuihua a long while to react.
This easy job had cost her a hundred thousand yuan in bribes just a month ago to get. She hadn’t even received her first month’s salary yet, and now she was being fired. Zhang Cuihua was so scared she burst into tears on the spot.
Wang Debiao ignored her completely and ran up to Ye Ziming, his face full of panic.
“Young Master Ye, this ticket checker is new. She doesn’t know you…” Wang Debiao looked at Ye Ziming’s ashen face, so scared he was about to cry, constantly wiping the cold sweat off his forehead.
“Fuck you!” Ye Ziming kicked Wang Debiao right in the stomach. “Forget about this idiot for now. I’m asking you, where is Young Master Lin?”
“Young—Young Master Lin?” Wang Debiao was nearly knocked to the ground by the kick. At Ye Ziming’s question, he was completely confused.
“Motherfucker.” Ye Ziming cursed under his breath. This Wang Debiao had only come because he’d called him—he probably didn’t know what had happened earlier.
“I’m asking you people, was there a young man about my age who you stopped from getting in just now? Where did he go?” Ye Ziming’s eyes blazed with fury as he shouted at the ticket checkers.
The ticket checkers were all scared out of their wits. They’d seen their boss get kicked by this so-called Young Master Ye without daring to make a sound. How could they not realize this was someone they couldn’t afford to mess with?
“Yes, there was a young man, and a bald guy carrying someone on a stretcher. Zhang Cuihua wouldn’t let them in,” one ticket checker said, gathering up the courage.
“Then where is he now?” Ye Ziming asked urgently.
“We’re not sure.” The ticket checkers had been busy checking tickets and hadn’t really noticed where Lin Hai and the others had gone.
The people waiting to have their tickets checked were all bewildered by the sudden commotion. But they could all tell that this Young Master Ye was definitely someone not to be messed with. So even though ticket checking had suddenly stopped, no one dared to make a scene. They all watched curiously, enjoying the show.
“Hey, are you guys talking about that person?” Suddenly, a man in the crowd pointed toward the roadside not far away.
Ye Ziming looked in the direction the voice came from, and his eyes immediately lit up.
Sitting on the curb, silently smoking—who else could it be but Lin Hai?
“Young Master Lin!” Ye Ziming pushed through the crowd and rushed over.
Wang Debiao was startled when he saw this and quickly followed behind him.
“Young—Young Master Lin…” Ye Ziming stood in front of Lin Hai and called out cautiously.
Lin Hai silently smoked, not even glancing at him.
Ye Ziming felt extremely awkward.
“Young Master Lin, why aren’t you going in?” Ye Ziming said with an awkward smile.
But the moment he said it, he regretted it, wishing he could slap himself twice.
Damn it, why was he so nervous? Look at what he just asked—he already knew the ticket checker wouldn’t let them in, yet here he was asking. Wasn’t he just asking for trouble?
Sure enough, when Lin Hai heard this, he was so angry he laughed.
“You’re fucking asking me why I’m not going in? Are you actually stupid, or are you playing dumb with me?”
Wang Debiao, standing nearby, heard Lin Hai speaking to Ye Ziming so dismissively and rudely, and his eyes immediately lit up.
Just now, his subordinate had angered Ye Ziming. Who knew if Ye Ziming would settle the score with him later? Now, he felt this was a chance to stand out, to suck up to Ye Ziming and make up for his earlier mistake.
With that thought, Wang Debiao stepped forward abruptly.
“Fuck, how dare you talk to Young Master Ye like that!”
But who would’ve thought—this flattery would land him in hot water.
“Smack!”
Ye Ziming turned around and slapped him across the face.
“Fuck, how dare you talk to Young Master Lin like that?”
Ye Ziming threw his exact words right back at him.
“Young Master Ye, I—” Wang Debiao held his face, completely stunned.
“Motherfucker, apologize to Young Master Lin right now!” Ye Ziming roared at Wang Debiao.
Wang Debiao trembled with fear, gave Ye Ziming a slightly aggrieved look, then walked up to Lin Hai.
“Young Master Lin, I’m sorry, I—”
Lin Hai waved his hand, cutting Wang Debiao off.
“Forget the apology. Ye Ziming, I’ll ask you one question. I want to carry a stretcher in today. Are you going to let me in, or not?” After Lin Hai said this, his eyes suddenly turned ice-cold.
But who would’ve thought—someone was even faster than the two of them!
“Everyone move, move aside!” Zhang Cuihua rushed toward Lin Hai like a madwoman.
“What the hell, what does this crazy bitch want?” Ye Ziming was startled.
Zhang Cuihua ran up to Lin Hai and dropped to her knees with a thud.
“Young Master Lin, Young Master Lin, I was wrong, I was wrong.” Zhang Cuihua began kowtowing to Lin Hai repeatedly.
