The Almighty Martial Arts System 83

June 16th.

The first day of the fifth lunar month, an auspicious day according to the Chinese almanac—perfect for wealth accumulation, opening businesses, making transactions, signing contracts, and traveling. A day when all taboos are lifted!

In other words, it was a good day.

And on this very day, “Jiang’s Clinic” officially opened its doors, bustling with excitement and activity!

The clinic was located not too far from Jiang Fei’s original practice, on the second floor of a commercial building. The space, which used to be a large internet café that had closed down for unknown reasons, spanned about 320 square meters. After Lin Moli rented it, she transformed it into a quaint, traditional-style clinic.

Since Jiang Fei’s private hospital primarily focused on traditional Chinese medicine, the classical aesthetic added a touch of sophistication and authenticity.

Before the grand opening, Jiang Fei and Lin Moli hadn’t gone all out with advertising. They simply informed their regular patients, who then spread the word by word of mouth. Lin Moli also printed out some simple, colorful flyers.

So, Jiang Fei and Lin Moli had originally planned for a modest opening ceremony—just some firecrackers and that would be it. But to their surprise, patients whom Jiang Fei had treated in the past showed up with long banners and flower baskets, turning the event into a lively celebration.

What’s more, the crowd of onlookers gathering downstairs grew larger and larger, almost reaching a sea-of-people level.

“Looks like our clinic is going to thrive from now on,” Lin Moli said with a radiant smile as she stood beside Jiang Fei, watching the congratulatory crowd.

Though she had done everything she could to prepare and had ensured everything was perfect, she couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous about the opening. After all, some things depended on fate, and even with all the effort, there was no guarantee of success.

But seeing so many people show their support, Lin Moli’s worries melted away.

Today, Lin Moli was dressed more formally than usual. In all the time Jiang Fei had known her, he had rarely seen her like this. She wore a thin, white, three-quarter-sleeve blouse with the top two buttons undone, revealing a glimpse of her fair skin and accentuating her well-proportioned figure without being overly provocative. Paired with a light gray pencil skirt that hugged her slender waist and curvaceous hips, she looked nothing short of stunning.

The skirt ended just above her knees, showcasing her long, shapely legs clad in sheer nude stockings—equally alluring.

Women with long legs always had an advantage; no matter what they wore, they looked good. Walking down the street, Lin Moli would undoubtedly turn heads.

Her delicate feet, also encased in nude stockings, were tucked into a pair of sleek black high heels, adding even more height to her already tall frame—enough to make many men feel inadequate.

Lin Moli had also visited the hair salon earlier that day, trading her usual straight locks for soft, mature waves. Her previously dyed coffee-brown hair was now back to its natural black, and her flawless makeup only enhanced her already striking features.

Her transformation into a corporate queen left even Jiang Fei, who knew her well, momentarily speechless. It took him a while to regain his composure.

She really looked like a CEO, a powerful businesswoman!

“Dr. Jiang, why did you name the clinic just ‘Jiang’s Clinic’? Since you’re opening a hospital now, why not go all out and call it ‘The Acupuncture King’s Clinic’?” one of the onlookers suggested.

“Yeah! In Jin City, no one can match your skills in traditional Chinese medicine. ‘The Acupuncture King’ would be the perfect name for your hospital!”

“How about we make a new plaque for you? A bigger one this time, and we’ll hang it up for you!”

The crowd, still buzzing with excitement, didn’t disperse immediately. Instead, they looked up at the clinic’s sign—“Jiang’s Clinic”—and expressed their dissatisfaction.

Jiang Fei quickly raised his hands and clasped them together in gratitude. “Thank you all for your kind suggestions, but ‘Jiang’s Clinic’ is just fine. As for the title ‘Acupuncture King,’ I’ll keep it in my heart, but I don’t need to flaunt it.”

Jiang Fei still held onto the title of “Acupuncture King,” even though the old men from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Association had repeatedly tried to challenge him. But he didn’t want to be too ostentatious. Although his medical skills had reached Level 7, surpassing people like Qin Zhengming, he knew he wasn’t invincible. There were likely some true masters in the TCM Association whose skills exceeded his.

So, for now, Jiang Fei preferred to keep a low profile. He decided to hang the “Acupuncture King” plaque in his office rather than display it publicly. If word got out, he’d likely face endless trouble.

Jiang Fei had no doubt that there were more than a few old-timers like Qin Zhengming and Yu Qingsong in the world, always ready to throw their weight around.

For now, it was enough for his reputation as a “miracle doctor” to spread among his patients. The term “miracle doctor” was broad and vague, making it hard for anyone to target him. But the title “Acupuncture King” was too specific. Until he became a true master of medicine, Jiang Fei didn’t want the title to become widely known.

Besides, all the legal paperwork for the clinic had already been filed under the name “Jiang’s Clinic.” Changing the name now would mean dealing with a lot of bureaucratic red tape.

“Ah, Dr. Jiang is too humble! With your exceptional skills, the title ‘Acupuncture King’ is well-deserved. There’s no need to decline it!”

“Let it go. Since Dr. Jiang doesn’t want it, we shouldn’t push him. He’s a man of great virtue!”

“Yeah! Truly skilled people are often humble and don’t like to show off. That’s exactly the kind of person Dr. Jiang is!”

Seeing Jiang Fei’s modesty, the crowd once again showered him with praise, even using lofty terms like “great virtue.” Jiang Fei felt a bit embarrassed.

I’m not Zhang Wuji from ‘Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber.’ Even if I don’t have a legendary sword, I don’t need to be called a man of great virtue!

After wrapping up the opening ceremony, Jiang Fei and Lin Moli led the doctors and nurses upstairs to officially begin seeing patients.

Ding!

Just as Jiang Fei sat down in his office, a crisp sound echoed in his mind. It was the sound of a significant experience gain!

The suddenness of it left Jiang Fei momentarily stunned. He quickly pulled up his character interface in his mind.

“What the heck! My experience points were only at 989 earlier. How did they jump so much all of a sudden?” Jiang Fei’s eyes widened, and his jaw dropped in shock. He was completely stunned by this unexpected windfall.

The last time he had gained experience—when he successfully raised the spirit beast, Simba—he had only received 300 points. But now, he had gained a whopping 500 points!

This was like… a massive pie falling from the sky!

And not just any pie—a gigantic one that had completely knocked Jiang Fei off his feet!

After a long moment, Jiang Fei slapped his cheeks to regain his composure and calm his racing heart. Then, he clicked on the flashing notification in the bottom right corner of his character interface.

“Congratulations! You have established the guild ‘Jiang’s Clinic.’ Reward: 500 experience points. Additionally, from now on, every time a patient is successfully treated by the guild ‘Jiang’s Clinic,’ you will receive 10% of the experience points and 10% of the medical skill proficiency. Keep up the good work and expand your guild further!”

Jiang’s Clinic?
A guild?
This works?!

Jiang Fei was floored. Who would have thought that opening a clinic would count as establishing a guild in his system? And not only that, but he’d also gain experience and skill points from every patient treated by his clinic!

This was beyond anything he could have imagined.
