Only the grand army of the Divine Dragon Empire, having formed the Divine Dragon Formation, safely withstood the aftershocks of the battle between these Sovereigns.
And this desperate action did indeed buy them a few breaths of time.
A few breaths were enough for them to flee a great distance.
However, that distance meant nothing to the Divine Dragon Empress.
In an instant, she appeared right behind them.
“Run. You can run a little faster. It’s best if you run all the way back to your own factions. That way, I can conveniently visit each of your territories to collect some resources!!”
The Divine Dragon Empress’s voice rang out, instantly filling the Sovereigns of the Blackwater Empire with utter terror.
They knew she was fast, and they had feared she would catch up quickly.
So, as they fled, they all used their secret techniques to escape at top speed.
But what they hadn’t anticipated was that, even at this limit speed, the Divine Dragon Empress had still caught them.
And she had done so with ease.
This drove many of them to the depths of despair.
Some even felt that in the very next instant, they would die by her hand.
It was at this moment that a Sovereign from the Blackwater Empire gritted his teeth and shouted:
“Liu Ruyan! You’re wasting time chasing us? You’d better check on your Divine Dragon Palace!”
“Our Ancestor has already taken three Sovereigns through a teleportation array to attack your Divine Dragon Palace! I guarantee that if you keep pursuing us here, your Divine Dragon Palace will be reduced to rubble, and your Divine Dragon Imperial Family will cease to exist!!”
Hearing this, the Divine Dragon Empress’s expression changed instantly.

One of them, unable to bear the terror any longer, was driven to madness by despair.
“Die! Die! Let’s all die together!!”
After roaring this, the Sovereign’s body violently exploded.
A tremendous wave of energy surged in all directions, injuring several nearby Blackwater Empire Sovereigns with the blast.
Yet, even so, they didn’t hesitate for a moment. They continued their frantic flight forward.
It seemed that a Sovereign’s self-destruction had become a normal occurrence to them now.
After all, a terror incarnate was still chasing right behind them.
They didn’t believe for a second that such an explosion could kill the Divine Dragon Empress.
Sure enough, her figure soon reappeared before them.
This time, she was even faster.
She started by killing the one who had run the farthest, directly cutting off their escape route.
Seeing the Divine Dragon Empress ahead of them, now charging towards them for the kill, the remaining few Sovereigns were consumed by utter despair.
Then, they too were driven to madness.

“Phew! Good thing I’m fast enough. Otherwise, I might really have been blown to bits here.”
“Indeed, I can’t push them too far. When cornered, they might do anything irrational.”
“But… you all are forcing my hand too. I’m in a hurry!!”
