Qiu Zifan remembered very clearly that Ye Shaohua had not inherited her grandfather’s legacy. The information on the Star Network was even more explicit—she hadn’t received any advanced education either.
Meng Yuchen and the others were busy diagnosing patients with serious expressions, paying no attention to Ye Shaohua.
“I know who you are,” an officer nearby sneered, recognizing her. “That fraud who’s been making waves on the Star Network lately, right? The one who almost got the young master of the Lin family killed? Get out of here! Don’t get in the way of the real physicians. What kind of confidence do you have to call yourself a physician? Have you even read a single medical book?”
He finished his tirade by pressing his weapon against Ye Shaohua’s back, trying to push her into the crowd.
But to his surprise, Ye Shaohua stopped him with just a single finger.
The officer, who held a relatively high rank in the Z Alliance and was no slouch in combat, was stunned. He hadn’t expected Ye Shaohua to so easily deflect his weapon. In the entire Z Alliance, there were only a handful of people who could do that.
While he stood there in shock, Ye Shaohua took the opportunity to push past Meng Yuchen. She placed her hand on General Yun’s wrist, and her soothing spiritual energy quickly calmed the turmoil within his body.
After just a moment, she stood up. By then, the officer had regained his composure. “What do you think you’re doing? Where do you think you’re touching?!”
It seemed that Ye Shaohua’s past reputation had left a deep impression on everyone. She tilted her head slightly and raised an eyebrow. “Don’t bother me.”
With that, she casually walked through the crowd. Her black-framed glasses obscured her face, but strangely, no one dared to stop her.
“Ye Kun said she’s from the Ye family, but she doesn’t seem like it at all,” Meng Yuchen remarked, shaking her head as she watched Ye Shaohua’s retreating figure. “She’s too ambitious. But becoming a physician isn’t that easy. Trying to latch onto General Yun like that…”
“It’s probably because of you, Senior Meng,” one of Meng Yuchen’s classmates sneered. “But no matter how much she tries, she’ll never surpass you. She just leaves messes for you to clean up.”
The officer, however, watched Ye Shaohua’s retreating figure with a thoughtful expression.

Ye Shaohua headed straight to the principal’s office, with Shu Man following closely behind, glancing at her repeatedly along the way.
Principal Aige wasn’t in his office, so Ye Shaohua waited for half an hour before he arrived.
“Was it you who sent me that page of ancient medical theory the other night?” Principal Aige asked, his gaze piercing. “Do you remember what you wrote?”
Ye Shaohua nodded. “Of course.”
She then began to recite the text from memory, occasionally explaining some of the more obscure terms. Her recitation was smooth and flawless, and by the time she reached the end, Principal Aige was holding the paper in his hand, realizing that she had gone beyond what was written there.
“Stop! I believe you!” Principal Aige exclaimed, his eyes shining with excitement. “So, will you be my closed-door disciple? I swear I’ll teach you everything I know!”
Shu Man, standing beside Ye Shaohua, nearly choked. The Principal Aige, the dream mentor of every student on the planet, is personally asking to take Ye Shaohua as his disciple? Did I hear that correctly?
Principal Aige was certain he hadn’t misspoken. Ancient medicine had been lost on this planet for centuries. The Ye family, once a prominent name in ancient medicine, had been a true powerhouse. Back then, there was no such profession as “physician.” The chaotic energies within individuals could be easily controlled with just a few silver needles. Unfortunately, the Ye family had declined over time.
“Many people want to be my disciple. If I choose you directly, you’ll face immense pressure from all sides. Can you handle that?” Principal Aige asked, looking at Ye Shaohua.
Ye Shaohua smiled faintly. “Of course.”
Pressure? She had faced far greater challenges in the world of magic.
“Good. I’ll make the arrangements. The apprenticeship ceremony will be in three days.” Principal Aige gave her a few more instructions before letting her leave.
As they walked away, Shu Man finally snapped out of her daze. “Holy crap! You’re a descendant of ancient medicine? Why didn’t you say so earlier? I’ve been worried for nothing!”
Ye Shaohua raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t I tell you I was a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner?”
“But…” Shu Man trailed off. She had assumed Ye Shaohua was one of those street-side quacks. She never imagined she was the real deal.
“If the Qiu family finds out you’re a descendant of ancient medicine, their jaws will hit the floor,” Shu Man muttered.
When Ye Shaohua returned to her dorm, she found all her daily necessities neatly arranged. She hadn’t bought any of them, so it was obvious who had.
“Shu Man, I remember your family used to be a prominent clan of gifted individuals, right?” Ye Shaohua glanced at her. “Your body also holds a vast amount of energy. Let me help you heal.”
Shu Man’s expression dimmed. “It’s fine. I’m used to it. My family became ordinary people because no physician could cure the chaotic energy within us from birth. Don’t waste your time on me. Focus on learning from Principal Aige.”
Ye Shaohua didn’t explain further. She’d let Shu Man see for herself when the time came.

Meanwhile, at the heavily guarded Yun residence.
“General Yun, it really was only students from Shenxing Academy,” an officer reported, wiping sweat from his forehead.
The young man, dressed in a black combat uniform, had sharp, striking features. His presence was as cold and unyielding as a drawn sword, his piercing gaze making it hard for anyone to meet his eyes.
Yun Mo shook his head. “No, there was someone else.”
He had distinctly felt a soothing presence, something he had been searching for in his dreams.
“Other than Miss Meng…” another person frowned. He had never seen Yun Mo so persistent.
Except when it came to matters related to the Ye family.
In truth, the Ye family didn’t meet their standards, but General Yun had always shown them unusual favor.
It was because of this that the Ye family had risen to prominence. Otherwise, how could a declining medical family like the Ye family have joined the First Army, with Ye Shaoling even becoming the captain of a small division?
Whenever Yun Mo heard the surname “Ye,” his demeanor would soften.
Suddenly, the officer had an idea. “There was one other person—Ye Shaohua!”
“Ye Shaohua?” Yun Mo’s eyes sharpened at the name. “Find her.”
Yun Mo’s influence was vast. Within minutes, they had located Ye Shaohua.
“You’re looking for Ye Shaohua? She entered the elite library today and hasn’t come out yet,” the librarian said with a smile. “You’ll have to come back tomorrow.”
But the next day, when Ye Shaohua finally emerged, Yun Mo’s people couldn’t find her anywhere.
Officer Terrell stared at the satellite records in disbelief. “What the hell? How can someone evade the First Army’s tracking? She’s completely disappeared from the Star Network!”
It was unbelievable. A living person had just vanished right under their noses.
Yun Mo, however, wasn’t surprised. His interest only deepened.
But he knew he wouldn’t find her unless she wanted to be found, so he called off the search.
Just then, someone entered the room. “General, an invitation from Principal Aige. Tomorrow is the ceremony for accepting his closed-door disciple.”
Yun Mo took the invitation and opened it. “He’s inviting so many people. It seems Principal Aige holds this disciple in high regard.”
“The most prominent students at Shenxing Academy right now are Miss Meng and Young Master Qiu. Both are rare talents,” Officer Terrell nodded. “It’s only fitting to hold such a grand ceremony for them.”
Many people speculated about the identity of Principal Aige’s new disciple. Even as the ceremony began, no one had figured it out.
“Perhaps he’ll announce it during the banquet,” Elder Qiu smiled, glancing at the Meng family seated at the same table. “It’s likely Yuchen.”
Meng Yuchen smiled modestly. “It could also be Zifan.”
“Whoever it is, it’s well-deserved,” Elder Qiu chuckled.
The atmosphere at the table was warm and cheerful.
Other guests looked on with envy. Everyone knew that Meng Yuchen and Qiu Zifan were exceptional talents.
As everyone waited anxiously, Principal Aige finally appeared, beaming.
He smiled at the crowd, and one of his senior disciples announced, “Now, let us welcome my junior sister.”
Hearing the term “junior sister,” Meng Yuchen immediately stood up.
All eyes turned to her, filled with admiration.
But Principal Aige didn’t call her forward. Instead, he pulled back a red curtain, revealing a slender figure in black.
When Qiu Zifan saw who it was, his heart skipped a beat, and he accidentally knocked over his teacup, spilling hot tea onto the carpet.
The room fell into stunned silence.
