With My Ability To Swap, I Will Never End Up In A Love Triangle Mess - Chapter 5
Xia Xi didn’t respond. Instead, she directly used the Partial Exchange Card granted by the system.
[Confirm use of Partial Exchange Card?]
“Confirm.”
[Select exchange target.]
“Luo Xinyu.”
[Select body part to exchange.]
“Legs.”
[Make exchange public?]
“Public.”
This time, Xia Xi chose to make the exchange public.
There was no other way—if it weren’t public, the other party would likely have their common sense altered, believing they had always possessed a perfectly healthy pair of legs. What would be the point of exchanging then?
“Why aren’t you saying anything? Does the ‘spell’ need preparation time? Actually, my legs are… Ahhhh?!”
Luo Xinyu had assumed that this “Great Sorcerer Chenxi” was just teasing her and couldn’t actually do anything about her weak legs. She was about to tell him that she didn’t really mind that much.
But the next second, her legs suddenly turned translucent. Then, in their place appeared a pair of legs entirely different from her own.
These legs were longer and leaner than her original ones, but unlike a girl’s soft curves, they weren’t fair and delicate either—they were distinctly a boy’s “slender legs.”
“See? I never lie.”
Xia Xi flexed Luo Xinyu’s soft, pudgy little hands and—
(Squeezes flesh)
“Is this… is this what real legs feel like?!”
Luo Xinyu’s voice echoed in his mind, filled with astonishment.
“This is amazing! Great Sorcerer, can I try walking?!”
Her tone was brimming with excitement, like a little girl who had just gotten a new toy and couldn’t wait to play with it.
Xia Xi had no reason to refuse. Besides, sitting for so long had made his butt sore—standing up and moving around would be a relief.
He slowly rose to his feet and walked over to the floor-length mirror to get a better look at his current appearance.
“This feels so weird!”
The sensation of walking with normal legs was entirely new to Luo Xinyu, further solidifying her determination to heal her original legs. If she replaced them with cold mechanical prosthetics, she might never experience this grounded feeling again.
After testing out walking, she carefully examined her reflection—but something seemed off.
The girl’s face was still that enchantingly pure visage, and her figure remained as striking as ever. In Xia Xi’s eyes, (at no point could he see his own toes).
Well, if he bent forward slightly, he could see them—but only because he was sitting.
The problem lay in her legs.
They were a pair of straight, long legs. On their own, they looked fine. But when connected to Luo Xinyu’s plump hips, they resembled two chopsticks sticking out of a peach—grotesquely disproportionate.
Xia Xi gave the bizarre lower body a disdainful look but, at Luo Xinyu’s pleading, took a few more laps around the room, occasionally jumping.
Finally, after she happily declared, “Thank you, you’re such a good person!”, he sat back down in the wheelchair.
“Walking like a girl is exhausting.”
He pulled out the blood-soaked tissue stuffed in his nose and tossed it into the trash. Then, pretending to wipe his nose, he took out another tissue and dabbed at it.
“It’s not so bad. Isn’t it the same for boys and girls?”
Having never walked properly before today, she found the experience quite pleasant. Since she was using Xia Xi’s male legs, she assumed walking felt the same regardless of gender.
“It’s completely different!”
Xia Xi slumped over the desk, resting his head on his arms while using Luo Xinyu’s voice to grumble.
While walking earlier, (something about jumping, couldn’t quite capture it—sorry!)
Even worse, Luo Xinyu, being in her own home, had let her guard down—
(Nosebleed)
(Shared sensation)
(More nosebleed)
“Ahem, whatever. You’ve had your taste of walking—I’m going back to learning how to draw.”
Once his restless emotions settled, Xia Xi picked up the sketching pencil again and continued practicing drawing stick figures, following the tutorial on the tablet.
Luo Xinyu giggled softly but didn’t say anything else, simply watching as Xia Xi’s skills gradually improved.
“Hey… which city do you live in?”
Time passed, and soon it was 6 PM—six hours since Xia Xi had arrived.
“Not telling.”
“Mean~”
…
“Will you come back tomorrow?”
“Who said I was leaving? What if I just keep occupying your beautiful girl body forever?”
“If you want to… I don’t mind…”
Xia Xi fell silent. Was this young lady serious? Was she really willing to just hand over her body like that?
“Sorry… you don’t think I’m some shameless girl now, do you? It’s just… if you stay, I’ll have someone to keep me company every day.”
Despite being a rich young lady, there was an underlying sense of insecurity in her words. How could someone with so much money still feel this way?
Xia Xi didn’t understand.
Maybe it was like those cliché sayings: Some things money can’t buy.
“I’ll come back tomorrow.”
In the end, he gave her that promise.
After all, his real body was being managed by the system. He could come here, learn to draw, complete daily tasks, and skip school—sounded like a great deal.
“Really? That’s wonderful!” Luo Xinyu sounded overjoyed. “Oh, could you stand up and walk around one more time? I want to feel what it’s like again.”
Perhaps sensing Xia Xi was about to leave, she made one last request.
Having drawn for so long, Xia Xi figured a short break wouldn’t hurt, so he obliged.
But the moment he stood up—
Knock knock knock!
Before he could react, the door swung open.
“Young Miss, it’s time for dinner. Please come to the dining— Huh?!”
A young maid in a frilly uniform pushed the door open, only to freeze at the sight of Luo Xinyu standing up from her wheelchair.
With a shriek, she bolted out of the room—and even remembered to close the door behind her!
“HEAD MAID! THE YOUNG MISS’S ROOM IS HAUNTED!!!”
