Returning after 10000 Years Cultivation - Chapter 167
Jiang Tian rose lazily to his feet, a cold glint flashing in his eyes as he frowned. “Get out.”
If it weren’t for this man’s connection to Old Man Tang and the fact that this was all a misunderstanding with mitigating circumstances, Jiang Tian would have already killed him for such insolence.
“You get out! Who let you in! And who exactly is ‘your woman’?” After a brief moment of panic, Tang Linglong composed herself, tightened her bath towel, stepped forward, and coldly rebuked him.
Tie Mingfei stared at the collapsed bed. Just how violently had they been going at it? He was practically going insane, a vein throbbing on his forehead. “You motherf**ker! You f**king broke the bed! Tang Linglong, you b**ch! Always acting so high and mighty around me, turning down every one of my invitations! Who knew you’d spread your legs so easily for someone else? You slut!”
He never expected Tang Linglong to so firmly side with Jiang Tian and scold him. Rage overwhelmed him, and he swung his hand to slap her across the face.
“How dare you!” Seeing him attack, Tang Linglong’s pretty face turned cold. Smack! Her palm shot out, cutting through the air with a sound like a firecracker exploding.
Tie Mingfei was sent flying sideways, blood gushing from his nose, three of his molars sent flying.
Blinded by the belief that Jiang Tian had slept with his fiancée, Tie Mingfei’s fury wasn’t so easily quelled. He scrambled to his feet and charged at Tang Linglong again, throwing a vicious, well-executed punch.
If the earlier slap was pure rage, this punch was more calculated, fully utilizing the power of his mastered Iron Body technique. His fist tore through the air with an explosive sound, like a cannonball firing. If it hit an ordinary person, they would be severely injured, if not killed on the spot.
“You have a death wish!” Tang Linglong’s delicate eyebrows arched. Her movement seemed slow but was deceptively fast, her palm landing lightly on Tie Mingfei’s chest.
Whoosh!
Tie Mingfei’s bulky frame, weighing over 180 pounds, flew backward like a ragdoll, smashing hard against the corridor wall, cracking the plaster.
Pfft!
Blood trickled from the corner of Tie Mingfei’s mouth, his face contorted in pain and fury.
He couldn’t understand how Tang Linglong had become so powerful that he couldn’t gain the upper hand. But his rage was still boiling. How could he give up on revenge so easily? He pointed at Jiang Tian and roared, “You bastard, just you wait! How dare you lay a hand on my woman! I’ll f**king kill you!”
He immediately called Tie Minghuang, pouring out the story of Tang Linglong and Jiang Tian’s “monstrous” behavior. After all, Tie Minghuang was a top-tier young master in Yangcheng and had far more resources at his disposal.
“Cousin, you have to back me up on this! My woman was stolen! If this gets out, how can I ever show my face again?”
“What? You said his name is… Jiang Tian?” Tie Minghuang, who was handling affairs in his office, was scared out of his wits upon hearing this. He yelled furiously, “You stupid idiot! You’ve messed up big time!”
“Cousin, what are you talking about? My woman was stolen, and I’m the one who messed up?” Tie Mingfei was utterly confused. Was there no justice left in the world?
“I don’t have time to explain now! Apologize to them immediately! And make it sincere! Otherwise, I’ll skin you alive! After you apologize, you submit to whatever punishment they decide. Don’t you dare resist! He’s someone even I can’t afford to offend!” Tie Minghuang, frantic with anxiety, roared a few more angry commands before hanging up and rushing straight to the hotel.
“Who is he? Even cousin can’t afford to offend him?” Tie Mingfei was dumbfounded, a chill running down his spine. He knew Tie Minghuang was ruthless, authoritarian, and stubborn. Once, a family member who disobeyed him had his legs broken and was thrown out of the family.
Though still full of confusion, he forced himself to endure the pain, shuffled step by step over to Jiang Tian, and bowed his head. “M-Master Jiang, I was wrong. I apologize!”
“In the future, if you harass Tang Linglong in the slightest, I will kill you,” Jiang Tian, now fully dressed, said lazily from the sofa where he was sipping tea.
“What did you say?” Tie Mingfei couldn’t believe his ears. His head snapped up, his tiger-like eyes glaring venomously at Jiang Tian.
Was this guy insane? He sleeps with my fiancée and then has the audacity to threaten me? I’m still a member of the Tie family, Tie Minghuang’s cousin! In Yangcheng, I walk sideways! Who would dare cross me?
“What are you staring at!” Seeing the defiance on his face, Jiang Tian’s expression darkened. With a casual wave of his hand, smack!, he sent Tie Mingfei flying out the door, leaving him unable to stand.
“Worthless dog, how dare you glare at me? Wait for your brother to come and talk to me,” Jiang Tian said coldly.
“Fine, fine, fine! I’ll remember this! Sooner or later, I’ll pay you back tenfold!” Tie Mingfei gritted his teeth, forcing himself to endure the anger.
Fearing traffic, Tie Minghuang rushed over by private helicopter, arriving in just ten minutes. He understood the situation at a glance.
Tie Mingfei, still unwilling to let it go, pointed at Jiang Tian and yelled, “Big Brother, he hit me again just now!”
“You dare point at Master Jiang! Do you want to die!” Tie Minghuang kicked him hard in the chest, making him vomit up his dinner.
Then, ignoring Tie Mingfei’s reaction, he scurried over to Jiang Tian like an eager puppy, bowing respectfully with clasped hands. “This junior, Tie Minghuang, pays his respects to Master Jiang! This fool has no manners and has offended you. I beg for your forgiveness!”
Witnessing this, Tie Mingfei was struck dumb. His cousin, who was so powerful and domineering in Yangcheng, was actually showing such respect to Tang Linglong’s… “boy toy”?
“If he dares to be disrespectful in front of me again, I will kill him,” Jiang Tian said indifferently, not even bothering to look at him.
“I understand, perfectly clear!” Tie Minghuang nodded like a chicken pecking at rice, his face full of sycophantic flattery. Turning around, his expression turned vicious as he pointed at the bodyguards. “Drag this piece of trash out and give him a good beating!”
“Cousin, how can you side with an outsider…” Tie Mingfei roared and struggled.
But Tie Minghuang didn’t even glance his way, just kept bowing and scraping, trying to appease Jiang Tian and apologize profusely.
Even as he apologized, he sighed inwardly in despair: ‘Mingfei, I’m protecting you. If you stay here a moment longer, Master Jiang might very well kill you… If he decides to kill you, who in all of Lingnan could stop him? Not even Grandfather could sway him with his face…’
——-
The next morning at 8 AM, a military armored vehicle pulled up downstairs at Jiang Tian’s hotel.
Two people emerged from the vehicle, a man and a woman. The man was in his early forties, with sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, wearing a military uniform. He had an aura of rugged masculinity, filled with the unique iron-willed presence of a soldier. Judging by his epaulets, he held the rank of Senior Colonel.
The young woman was just over twenty years old, with willow-leaf eyebrows and phoenix eyes, a straight and elegant nose. Surprisingly, she already held the rank of Major.
“Shu Wei, this is where he’s staying? The Hilton? He knows how to enjoy himself,” the man said with a slight frown, a flash of displeasure in his eyes.
“Yes,” Shu Wei replied simply, then walked towards the hotel entrance.
This Instructor Feng, Feng Xiguang, was a master of Xingyi Quan, with cultivation at the peak of the Internal Strength stage. He was the current chief instructor of the War Dragon squad, notoriously arrogant and dismissive of others.
“Shu Wei, I strongly oppose the General Staff Department’s arrangement this time. What skills could a pleasure-seeking member of the Jianghu possibly have? He’s only twenty-five. What military training has he undergone? Does he have any combat experience at all?” Feng Xiguang frowned and complained.
“According to the records, Master Jiang is highly skilled. He’s the youngest Transcendent Master in the world. And he’s only responsible for martial arts training,” Shu Wei explained.
“A Transcendent Master? At twenty-five? Impossible!” Feng Xiguang’s eyebrows shot up so high they seemed to reach the sky. “Do you know what a Transcendent Master signifies? In the whole of China, there are only about thirty of them!”
He let out a bitter laugh. “Xiao Shu, you still don’t understand much about the martial world.”
“Take Ye Zhan Tian, a true genius. He reached the Internal Strength stage at eighteen, but it still took him until he was thirty-eight to achieve the Transcendent level. And according to the files, this Jiang Tian only comes from a medical family. How could he possibly reach the Transcendent stage at twenty-five?”
He had once seen Ye Zhan Tian make a move and was awestruck, worshipping him ever since. Could this kid possibly be stronger than the exceptionally talented number one martial arts genius, Ye Zhan Tian?
“Instructor Feng, this document was personally signed by Cao Shixiong. Could that be fake?” Shu Wei retorted, unconvinced.
“Old Cao operates at too high a level and is extremely busy. It’s possible he was deceived by his subordinates,” Feng Xiguang shook his head. “Of course, the subordinates might have exaggerated deliberately to deceive him, or maybe they just got the intelligence wrong. You know the military takes martial arts figures very seriously. And successfully recommending one earns you military merit. Some people, chasing after that merit, will suck up to any martial artist they meet, sending in reports to claim credit without doing proper verification.”
Hearing this, Shu Wei hesitated for a moment. “Well, we’re already here. Regardless, we’ll know if he’s the real deal once we meet him, right?”
As they spoke, they arrived at the room door.
Shu Wei pressed the doorbell and called out clearly, “Mr. Jiang, we are from the General Staff Department and War Dragon, here to pick you up!”
A moment later, the door opened. “Let’s go,” Jiang Tian said flatly.
Seeing Jiang Tian’s youthful appearance, delicate features, and complete lack of the imposing demeanor a martial artist should possess, Feng Xiguang’s disappointment grew, his heart sinking. This guy doesn’t seem to have any martial arts cultivation at all. Having War Dragon train under him would be a waste of time.
He clasped his hands according to martial arts etiquette. “Master Jiang, this is Liaison Officer Shu Wei from the General Staff Department, responsible for coordinating with you. I am Feng Xiguang, chief instructor of War Dragon. I heard that Master Jiang, despite his youth, has already reached the Transcendent stage. I would like to exchange a move or two to learn from you!”
“Fight here?” Jiang Tian gave a disdainful smile. “Forget it. I’m afraid if we start, I might demolish this hotel.” With that, he walked out the door, hands clasped behind his back, not giving Feng Xiguang another glance.
“This kid is so arrogant! He’s completely full of himself!” Completely ignored by Jiang Tian, Feng Xiguang was so angry his face turned green. He shook his head in disappointment. ‘True martial artists, the stronger they are, the more humble and cautious they become. They aren’t this arrogant and ignorant of their own limitations.’
On the road, Jiang Tian couldn’t be bothered to ask about War Dragon’s situation. He just lazily curled up in the tall seat, sometimes chatting with Tang Linglong about entertainment gossip, other times holding his phone for a video call with Zhao Xueqing, flirting and bantering, his face full of tender affection.
Seeing this, even Shu Wei felt somewhat disappointed. ‘This person has no proper posture, standing or sitting. He’s frivolous, dissolute, and utterly vulgar. Maybe he really doesn’t know martial arts. Could the intelligence really be wrong?’
