Immortal Cultivation: Starting as a Fortune Cultivator - Chapter 11
During the journey, Ye Qingxuan managed to learn quite a bit through observation.
For instance, these teleportation arrays normally required a minimum number of people to be activated.
Most of the time spent by Ye Qingxuan, Ye Qingxiao, and Ye Yuhong was actually wasted waiting for enough people to gather.
A prefecture-level teleportation array required ten people, a commandery-level array required one hundred, and a province-level array required one thousand.
If one didn’t want to wait, it was possible to bear the full cost of activating the array alone for a solo teleportation.
However, since this trip was simply to send Ye Qingxuan and Ye Qingxiao to the Xuantian Sect and wasn’t particularly urgent, Ye Yuhong chose to wait.
The cost per person for each level of teleportation array was as follows:
Prefecture-level: ten low-grade spirit stones per person.
Commandery-level: one hundred low-grade spirit stones per person.
Province-level: ten mid-grade spirit stones per person.
There was a hundredfold exchange rate between mid-grade and low-grade spirit stones.
From what Ye Qingxuan had learned so far, the currency in the Di Xuan World consisted of:
Spirit Stones: Low-grade, Mid-grade, High-grade, and Top-grade.
Spirit Crystals: Low-grade, Mid-grade, High-grade, and Top-grade.
The exchange rate between each grade within these two types of energy currency was one hundred to one!
In other words,
One top-grade spirit stone could be exchanged for one million low-grade spirit stones.
One top-grade spirit crystal could be exchanged for one million low-grade spirit crystals.
Furthermore, the exchange rate between top-grade spirit stones and low-grade spirit crystals was also one hundred to one.
One low-grade spirit crystal could be exchanged for one hundred top-grade spirit stones.
As for whether there existed a higher-tier energy currency above spirit crystals, Ye Qingxuan did not know, as the Ye Family’s library contained no records of any currency beyond spirit crystals!
Throughout their journey, the trio used one prefecture-level array, one commandery-level array, and four province-level arrays!
By the time they reached the Xuantian Sect, the total cost amounted to nine thousand, three hundred and thirty low-grade spirit stones.
The reason the final cost was only 9,330 low-grade spirit stones was that the last teleportation to Xuan Province was free of charge.
When Ye Qingxuan and Ye Qingxiao, led by Family Head Ye Yuhong, arrived via three teleportation arrays at Xing Province—the province closest to Xuan Province, where the Xuantian Sect’s headquarters was located—Ye Qingxuan noticed that the teleportation array in Xing Province wasn’t closed. Instead, it remained in a perpetually activated state, like a fixed, always-on array.
Contrary to previous occasions, Ye Yuhong didn’t make them wait. He simply showed a pass to the cultivators guarding the array, and the trio teleported directly to Xuan Province.
Upon arriving in Xuan Province, Ye Qingxuan found himself on a plaza built on a flattened mountaintop within a mountain range. He immediately sensed spiritual energy a hundred times denser than that of his family’s Cloud Mist Mountain.
In the distance, at the heart of the mountain range, stood a majestic peak that pierced the clouds!
“Who are you?”
Shortly after they landed, two young cultivators approached to question them.
Now on the Xuantian Sect’s turf, Ye Qingxuan and Ye Qingxiao behaved cautiously, refraining from asking questions to avoid any potential breaches of etiquette that might cause trouble.
Facing the seemingly young cultivators, Ye Yuhong respectfully presented a pass and said, “I am the family head of the Ye Family, an affiliated force of the sect. I have brought members of my younger generation to seek entry into the sect.”
One of them took the pass, examined it, then returned it to Ye Yuhong. His tone softened slightly, “In that case, you may proceed.”
And so, Ye Yuhong led Ye Qingxuan and Ye Qingxiao through multiple checkpoints towards the center of the mountain range.
The Xuantian Sect!
One of the three hegemonic powers of the Eastern Domain, a top-tier existence in the Di Xuan World.
Its headquarters was located in the Xuantian Mountain Range within Xuan Province.
The Xuantian Mountain Range spanned several major provinces and covered ninety percent of Xuan Province. One could say the entire Xuan Province served as the sect’s headquarters.
If not for the fact that expanding the Sect Guardian Grand Formation too widely would reduce its effectiveness, the Xuantian Sect could have encompassed the entire Xuantian Mountain Range as its direct territory.
For this reason, the sect’s core headquarters was limited to just Xuan Province itself.
Even so, the Xuantian Mountain Range had long been regarded by the sect as its exclusive domain, forbidden to outsiders.
Through generations of development by the Xuantian Sect, the various peaks of the Xuantian Mountain Range were now saturated with spiritual veins, large and small.
In fact, every year, numerous first-order spiritual veins would spontaneously form within the mountain range, influenced by its incredibly dense spiritual energy.
While first-order spiritual veins were considered valuable assets elsewhere, nobody in the Xuantian Sect paid them much mind.
These first-order spiritual veins ultimately became the choices available to reserve force Blessing Cultivator disciples like Ye Qingxuan.
In areas outside the range of the Xuantian Sect’s Guardian Grand Formation within the Xuantian Mountain Range, sect disciples could still be stationed, establish resource outposts, or seclude themselves in personal grottos for cultivation!
Even without the grand formation’s protection in these outer areas, no force would dare to attack a Xuantian Sect disciple.
After all, the Xuantian Sect’s dominance over the twenty-one major provinces of the Eastern Domain wasn’t reliant solely on a guardian formation, but on genuine, formidable strength.
As the core headquarters of the Xuantian Sect, Xuan Province was off-limits to anyone except sect disciples and the leaders of affiliated forces.
Even leaders of affiliated forces, if bringing others into Xuan Province without a sect token, would be subjected to inquiry and inspection.
This was the primary reason Ye Yuhong, Ye Qingxuan, and Ye Qingxiao were questioned upon their arrival.
After traveling some distance into the Xuantian Sect’s territory, Ye Yuhong once again led the two youths to another teleportation array.
Although they were already within the sect’s headquarters, this headquarters spanned an entire province.
Without teleportation arrays, it was impossible to say how long it would take them to fly to the mountain where their family’s Patriarch resided.
“This should be the last teleportation array, right?”
Looking at the array before him, Ye Qingxuan’s mouth twitched slightly. He hadn’t started cultivating yet, and the sensation of teleportation was thoroughly unpleasant.
Beside him, Ye Qingxiao had lost all his usual liveliness and looked utterly drained.
Following Ye Yuhong once more, they stepped into the array. The familiar, disorienting feeling of the world spinning returned, but thankfully, it didn’t last long.
When the trio emerged from the array, Ye Qingxuan and Ye Qingxiao barely suppressed the urge to vomit.
Seeing their state, Ye Yuhong chuckled, “Alright, we’re almost there. The remaining journey doesn’t require any more teleportation arrays.”
Hearing this, neither Ye Qingxuan nor Ye Qingxiao replied, focusing entirely on suppressing their discomfort.
Ye Yuhong didn’t rush, giving them time to recover.
Once they had, Ye Yuhong once again enveloped them and flew towards a specific location.
After about half an hour of sword-flight, Ye Yuhong finally came to a stop.
“We’re here!”
