I Swapped Bodies With a Female Celebrity - Chapter 7
About half an hour later, Qin Lang and the others arrived at Starlight Entertainment in a company van.
“Wow, this is a huge corporation!” Qin Lang was stunned the moment he stepped out of the car.
A towering 20-story building stood before him, with the words “Starlight Entertainment” elegantly displayed in artistic font across its exterior. The entrance was bustling with people—many of them celebrities and artists coming and going.
Fortunately, Qin Lang had done some research yesterday and recognized quite a few stars in this world, so he wasn’t completely clueless.
“Hello, Manager Lin! Good morning, Xuanxuan!”
“Manager Lin, you look even more beautiful lately!”
“Morning, Manager Lin!”
…
As they walked through the building, Qin Lang was surprised to realize that Manager Lin seemed to hold a high status at Starlight Entertainment. Many well-established artists greeted her respectfully.
As for him, Qin Lang…
Most people barely acknowledged him. Some didn’t even bother—they outright ignored him.
Qin Lang felt indignant. How arrogant! I mean, sure, I’m only ranked in the top 400 or 500 among female celebrities in the country, but still—how dare they treat me like this? Don’t they know I could complain to Yun Sihai and make their lives miserable?
“Ugh, no!” Qin Lang mentally scolded himself. What kind of thought is that? Even if I wanted to be a freeloader, I wouldn’t choose some old man…
As they entered the main lobby, Qin Lang suddenly felt an urgent pressure in his lower abdomen.
It felt like… he needed to pee?
Qin Lang froze. Now that he thought about it, he hadn’t used the bathroom since yesterday. Qin Yunxuan’s body is pretty impressive—her bladder capacity is no joke!
“Manager Lin, I need to use the restroom,” Qin Lang whispered, tugging at her sleeve with an awkward expression.
Manager Lin suddenly realized—she hadn’t given Xuanxuan time to go this morning.
“Go ahead. I’ll wait for you in Recording Studio 1,” she said before turning to leave.
Qin Lang hesitated. Where the hell is the bathroom? But he couldn’t just ask Manager Lin—that would be ridiculous. Wouldn’t it be weird if a celebrity didn’t know where their own company’s restroom was?
As Manager Lin walked away, Qin Lang had no choice but to stop a passing staff member.
“Uh, hey bro… where’s the restroom?”
The staff member froze. Qin Yunxuan—a stunningly beautiful woman—had just called him “bro”?
“Am I dreaming?” he wondered, dazed.
“Hey, bro, answer me!” Qin Lang was getting impatient. When nature calls, it really calls.
“Down the hall, at the end,” the staff member finally replied.
“Thanks, bro!” With that, Qin Yunxuan hurried off.
The staff member stood there, grinning like an idiot. “Qin Yunxuan talked to me… she called me bro… her voice is so nice…”
Following the directions, Qin Lang found the restroom and immediately rushed into the men’s bathroom.
“Finally!”
Seeing the urinals, he instinctively reached down to unzip—
Then he froze.
He looked down. Oh right… I can’t see anything there.
Ahem. Now wasn’t the time for that. He’d forgotten—he was a woman now!
What was a woman doing in the men’s restroom?
If anyone caught him, he’d be labeled a pervert or a creep!
“I’d rather die than live with that reputation!”
“Gotta get out!” Forget relieving himself—Qin Lang turned to leave.
But just then, he heard male voices approaching from outside.
Crap! If he walked out now, he’d run straight into them.
“My reputation would be ruined forever!”
“No way!” Qin Lang took a deep breath and scanned the room. There was nowhere to hide. If he stayed where he was, he’d definitely be spotted.
Gritting his teeth, he quickly ducked into a toilet stall and locked the door.
The men entered just as he closed it.
“That was close! Almost got caught!” His heart was pounding at 120-130 BPM—he could practically hear it thumping in his chest.
But now, the pressure in his bladder was unbearable. He had to go now.
After relieving himself, Qin Lang sighed in relief.
Now, he just had to wait for the men to leave.
But instead of leaving, the two lingered, lighting cigarettes and chatting.
“Did you watch Singer Live yesterday?”
“Yeah! Qin Yunxuan’s ‘Blue Lotus’ was amazing!”
Hearing his name, Qin Lang perked up.
One of the men chuckled. “You really think she wrote a song like ‘Blue Lotus’?”
“You’re saying… the company’s behind it?”
“Come on, don’t tell me you actually believe she did it alone.”
“Hey, no need to say it out loud. She’s the company’s golden girl now. If word got out…”
“This is the men’s room—how would she know? Still, I gotta admire her. In just a year, she went from nobody to the company’s top priority. Wonder how much effort she put in behind the scenes.”
“Rumor has it she’s got connections with the higher-ups. Don’t know if it’s true.”
“Everyone in the company suspects it. Otherwise, how’d she get so many resources? If I had half of what she gets, I’d be a top-tier singer by now!”
“By the way, heard something interesting today—someone’s planning to take ‘Blue Lotus’ from Qin Yunxuan.”
“What? How?”
“Apparently, someone’s gonna claim the song as their own.”
“Ha! I’d love to see Qin Yunxuan’s face when she finds out her song got stolen.”
“It’s just a rumor, though…”
“Yeah, yeah. Just a rumor…”
Their voices faded as they left.
Qin Lang clenched his fists. “Gossip is vicious!” It wasn’t just online—even within the company, people looked down on Qin Yunxuan with jealousy and disdain.
“Trying to steal my song? In your dreams!”
