Honkai: Oh No, I’ve Become the Herrscher of Corruption?! - Chapter 56
In a computer in Munich, Enoxia lived again.
“Every backup is like a respawn point, but where I regenerate after death is completely random and beyond my control… Though, since I can move through network cables anyway, this isn’t much of a drawback.”
“The Elysian Realm is an intranet, completely isolated from other networks. Ugh, I’ll have to ask Sirin to teleport me back.”
Returning to the villa, Alexandra was tutoring Ivan. This Stigma-bearer was a genius—by Shenzhou’s academic standards, the five-year-old had nearly completed six years of elementary school curriculum in just half a year. By next year, at age six, she’d be ready for middle school material. At this rate, even Alexandra wouldn’t be able to teach her, and she’d have to rely on self-study through online courses.
But in stark contrast to Ivan were Sirin and Bella. Sirin’s talent was unparalleled—her mind wasn’t slow, and she could quickly grasp anything she wanted to learn. But the moment she encountered something she didn’t want to learn, like dry theoretical knowledge, sleepiness took over instantly.
Even though her poor control over Honkai energy and Herrscher abilities had nearly cost her life, the moment a lecture on imaginary space began, her eyelids would inevitably droop.
As for Bella, her accompanying Honkai beast, she was exactly the same. When it came to skills that improved Sirin’s quality of life—like laundry, cooking, or anything else—she learned faster than anyone. Especially Sirin’s favorite dishes; she could replicate them perfectly after watching just once, even adjusting them to Sirin’s taste. But academic subjects? She was even worse than Sirin. The moment a math lecture started, she’d be out cold.
This behavior worried Cecilia, Sirin’s mother, the most. But she understood that forcing Sirin to study wouldn’t work—she needed the right approach, or it’d backfire.
Just as Enoxia emerged from the computer, she caught Sirin slacking off, with Bella as her accomplice.
“Why are you back? Weren’t you in that… Elysian Realm place?”
Seeing Sirin’s guilty expression—like a child caught reading comics instead of doing homework—Enoxia realized she assumed Cecilia had returned with her. She had to admire Cecilia’s parenting: despite being only ten years older than her adopted daughter, she managed to balance maternal warmth with unquestionable authority.
“An accident forced me out. I need you to send me back using the Void Herrscher’s power.”
Though she’d deliberately avoided defending herself to maximize pressure, she hadn’t expected Kevin’s Flamescion attack to actually kill her. Unfortunately, the near-death experience didn’t unlock any miraculous abilities—just some seemingly useless memories she’d forgotten. “You chase flowers, and they evade you; you ignore willows, and they shade you.”
“What happened? Is Mom—” Sirin shot to her feet, and Enoxia suddenly understood why the gentle Cecilia commanded such respect.
“Relax, Cecilia’s fine—having the time of her life there. I was the one who messed around and got kicked out.”
Sirin’s expression brightened, then turned puzzled. “Aren’t you the Herrscher of Corruption? What in a digital space could hurt you?”
“That overconfidence is exactly why I ended up like this. Previous Era tech is way more advanced than I thought. You’ll see when you go.”
Sirin opened a portal using the coordinates Enoxia provided. The latter could tell the girl was now far more curious about the Elysian Realm.
…
“188 data anomalies detected. The Elysian Realm’s overall loading speed is severely compromised.”
Inside the realm, Klein was scrambling like a programmer dealing with a game launch plagued by endless bugs. Grateful to be a android who couldn’t sweat, she muttered, “Otherwise, I’d be drenched by now.”
“Mmm~ Klein, I don’t think you need to work so hard.”
A familiar yet unfamiliar voice spoke behind her.
“Elysia? Wait—no. Herrscher of Corruption, I’m swamped right now. Can this wait?”
The Corrupted Elysia’s color scheme and aura were nothing like the original’s. Anyone with a brain could tell the difference.
Enoxia sighed. “Expecting the ‘Flawless One’ to have free time is like expecting the sun to rise in the west.”
Ignoring Klein’s protest, she placed a hand on the realm’s terminal. Since she’d caused the mess, fixing it was her responsibility.
Though Enoxia knew nothing about programming, the Corruption authority didn’t require her to. Its function was to automatically generate flawless code to achieve her desired outcome—like an infallible AI.
In under fifteen minutes, the bugs that would’ve taken Klein ages to fix were resolved.
“Ah… thanks. Work, work—finally, I can move on to other tasks.” The ever-busy Klein gave a quick thanks before diving back into her endless to-do list.
Shaking her head, Enoxia re-entered the realm.
“Oh~ We were just talking about you!” A certain pink-haired woman waved cheerfully from the lounge. Cecilia sat to her right, their arms intertwined. Perfect timing.
As Elysia settled on her left, the woman’s hand began wandering mischievously—not that Enoxia minded. She adjusted her position and rested her head on the other’s shoulder.
“Fixing such a huge glitch so quickly? So impressive~ You deserve praise!”
“Uh… I was the one who caused that glitch.”
“Disrupting a data space that’s run smoothly for 50,000 years is a talent in itself! Back then, we were in such a rush that our research on Corruption was incomplete. If you discover anything new, do share~?”
Enoxia had gone to Kevin hoping to research herself, only to come up empty-handed. Now, studying others seemed the only option. Her plans for the future were set.
“Hmm~ Three girls sitting around like this feels like it’s missing something…”
Enoxia knew exactly what she meant. Minutes later, the empty table was adorned with tea and pastries, and the trio began a proper girls’ tea party.
