Honkai: Oh No, I’ve Become the Herrscher of Corruption?! - Chapter 14
The military vehicle sped across the endless snowy plains, its engine roaring as Cocolia stomped on the gas pedal, desperate to escape this nightmarish wasteland teeming with monsters.
In the backseat sat Alexandra, the pregnant woman Cocolia had rescued in a desperate, very Russian-style extraction. Her husband—Cocolia’s superior, Colonel Alexei—had entrusted her to Cocolia with his dying breath.
Then, amidst the howling blizzard, the car lurched to a halt. No matter how hard Cocolia slammed the accelerator, it refused to move.
“Damn it! Of all times to break down!” She hammered the steering wheel, but the vehicle remained stubbornly dead.
Thud. Thud. THUD.
A deep, rhythmic pounding echoed in the distance, each thump syncing with Cocolia’s racing heartbeat. Towering over the snowdrifts, several Chariot-class Honkai beasts lumbered toward them. Despite her military training, Cocolia’s blood ran cold—these were monsters beyond human comprehension.
And she was the only fighter here. Alexandra, heavily pregnant, couldn’t even lift a finger in self-defense.
“No choice.” Cocolia drew her pistol and fired at the nearest beast.
The bullet pinged harmlessly off its armor, not even slowing it down. At the same time, a swarm of Raptor-class Honkai beasts materialized around them, sealing their fate.
Alexandra clutched her swollen belly, eyes wide with despair. She knew better than anyone—against creatures that shrugged off bullets, they stood no chance.
“Look out!”
A voice cut through the storm. Before they could react, a streak of white and blue shot across the sky. With a single swing of her lance, the girl—no, the Valkyrie—erased an entire wave of Honkai beasts from existence.
In the blink of an eye, she darted through the battlefield at inhuman speeds, leaving nothing but dissolving corpses in her wake.
Cocolia and Alexandra stared, speechless, at the silver-haired warrior who now stood before them, lance gleaming in the snowlight.
Then, to their shock, the Valkyrie turned—with tears streaming down her face.
“You’re alive…! To find you both at this moment… it’s a miracle!”
Cocolia’s brain short-circuited. Wait. SHE saved US. Why is SHE crying?!
What she didn’t know was that Schicksal’s bombers were minutes away. If not for the Herrscher of Corruption hacking into Cecilia’s comms to report survivors, they’d have been vaporized alongside the Honkai beasts.
But Cecilia had always believed: “In the face of catastrophe, every life saved is a victory.”

Schicksal Headquarters – Floating Islands
“Third and Fourth Armories confirmed. Missile launch sequence initiated. Targets locked.”
“Commence attack.”
Otto’s icy order marked the beginning of Schicksal’s carpet bombing over Siberia.
…
Meanwhile, in the Warzone
“Now THIS is a front-row seat.”
Enoxia hovered midair, watching as countless missiles streaked across the sky in elegant arcs before raining hellfire upon the earth. Explosions blossomed below, painting the snowscape in fire and smoke. A spectacle, really.
Technically, she should’ve been obliterated first—being ground zero. But not a single warhead touched her. Every missile veered away within 100 meters, as if repelled by an invisible force. Trails of exhaust smoke coiled around her, forming a cage of vaporized metal.
“Pathetic.”
To prevent Otto from stabbing her in the back during a fight with another Herrscher, she had rewritten the entire missile guidance system. Now, any missile that detected her presence would immediately change course. No matter how many were launched, not a single one could touch her.
After all, it would be laughable if a Herrscher of Corruption—one who could manipulate all human electronic systems—was actually harmed by mankind’s own weapons.
“Oi, dumbass! You missed!” She scowled as missiles wasted themselves on empty tundra. Not even the shockwaves hit a single Honkai beast. Each one costs a fortune, and you’re throwing them like confetti?!
…
February 8, 2000, 14:00 Hours
As the bombing ceased, Valkyrie forces stormed into Siberia for the final showdown against the Herrscher of Ice. Enoxia’s frown deepened with every transport plane that landed.
Despite the bombardment, tens of thousands of Honkai beasts remained. Worse, the Herrscher had warped gravity across a 10,000-square-kilometer radius. Even the heaviest missile barrages curved off-target.
To reach the Herrscher, the Valkyries would have to fight through this distorted hellscape.
Otto had split them into three teams:
- Left Flank: Led by Theresa and Siegfried.
- Right Flank: Led by Cheng Lixue, with Sabrina, Salome, and Shigure Kira in tow.
- Center: Cecilia’s squad, tasked with reinforcements and rear guard. Otto’s orders were clear—preserve her strength for the Herrscher.
Enoxia’s gaze locked onto four monstrous figures in the distance.
“Pseudo-Herrschers: Parvati, Asura… and two I’ve never seen. Wait—of course. The Thirteen Flame-Chasers had genes from over a dozen Emperor-class beasts. There were always more than just ‘Ice Pig’ or ‘Twins.’”
Her lips thinned. “Four Emperor-class beasts at once? Otto really treats Valkyries as disposable.”
A silent prayer for the doomed—then she shot toward the nearest abomination.
15:30 – Cheng Lixue’s Squad, Right Flank
The Valkyries barely had time to react before the ambush hit. Hundreds of Honkai beasts surged from the snow, but one horror eclipsed them all:
A scorpion-like monstrosity, 3 meters tall and 15 meters long. Its pincers and legs gleamed ice-blue, while its segmented emerald body shimmered with hexagonal scales. Four layered plates armored its front, its head peering from the topmost layer. Mirror-silver mandibles clicked hungrily.
Most unnerving was its tail—no stinger, just a hollow, tube-like appendage resembling a straw.
Sensors blared: UNKNOWN EMPEROR-CLASS HONKAI BEAST.
“FALL BACK—!” Lixue’s order came too late.
The beast’s tail whipped forward, releasing a blizzard in concentrated form. The slowest Valkyries froze instantly, their terrified expressions preserved in ice.
