“Then maybe you should stay close to me after all,” Yu Xiaoduo suggested. Letting him meet a big shot all by himself? If something went wrong, that would be a disaster. With these thin arms and legs, he couldn’t even win a fight. If he got captured, it’d turn into some kind of “Confined Asian Bondage” scenario.
Gu Wan’er rejected the idea outright. “No way. Master Bai is incredibly perceptive. He’ll pick up on the slightest gesture. You already had to glance at me just to brush off Fu Yangxue. If he sees that, he’ll think I’m just some naive girl who can’t make a decision without asking someone else. He definitely won’t help us then.”
Yu Xiaoduo nodded silently. She had a point there. Still, one thing needed correcting: she wasn’t a naive girl; she was just his boss… in his body.
“Is he going to ask about company matters?” Yu Xiaoduo inquired.
“It’s fine. I’ll feed you the answers.”
Yu Xiaoduo acknowledged with an “Mm.” Then he added, “Mr. Gu, one last question.”
“Ask.”
“If we hadn’t swapped consciousness, what were you planning to do with me today?”
Gu Wan’er didn’t mince words. She replied coolly, “I was going to banish you to the most remote branch office.”
“Damn it! I knew it!” Yu Xiaoduo exclaimed.
After a pause, Gu Wan’er spoke up coldly. “I have a question for you too.”
“What is it?”
“What does ‘The Banana Acrobatic Stack’ mean?”
Yu Xiaoduo was rendered speechless.
No matter the woman, holding a grudge is just in their nature.
Before they even reached the company, Gu Wan’er pulled the car over to the curb and said flatly, “Get out.”
They were still two blocks away from the office, and she was making him walk? How petty could she be? And this punishment was being inflicted on her own body.
Gu Wan’er explained, “The office has too many eyes and ears. It wouldn’t look right for you to get out of my car.”
“Mr. Gu, this is my car,” Yu Xiaoduo emphasized. Just because she occupied his body didn’t mean she could claim everything as hers.
Gu Wan’er shot him a sharp glare and continued, “You should keep my phone. If my family calls, you’ll have to answer it anyway.”
Yu Xiaoduo figured that made sense. “Alright. And you keep my phone. But we need to swap our WeChat accounts back.”
Gu Wan’er nodded. They both took their phones, logged out of the current WeChat sessions, logged into their own accounts, and then added each other as contacts.
“After you get out, call Li Wei, the head of security. Tell him to come pick you up. I’ll text you the address. And buy a Bluetooth earpiece.”
“Can I expense it?”
Gu Wan’er stared at Yu Xiaoduo, forcing the word out through gritted teeth. “You’re using my phone to pay, and you’re asking me about reimbursement?”
Yu Xiaoduo gave an awkward laugh. “Haven’t quite adjusted yet. I’ll get out now.”
“Hmph!”
“Wait. Mr. Gu, please don’t make that ‘hmph’ sound. A man shouldn’t use that tone. It’s very effeminate.”
Gu Wan’er felt like she was going insane. “I get it!” she hissed through clenched teeth.
Yu Xiaoduo gently closed the car door, then bent down to rest his hands on the edge of the open window. This casual pose made the men on the sidewalk stop dead in their tracks. The elegant curve of her form, those long, slender legs, the way that tight skirt hugged her hips—it was all a blatant invitation to male fantasy.
“Drive carefully. Don’t scratch up my baby,” he warned.
Gu Wan’er floored the accelerator. The rear tires spun in place, kicking up a wisp of smoke as the car shot forward.
Yu Xiaoduo winced, heart aching. He’d never driven his baby that hard. How dare she treat his prized possession like that! Fine. He’d just have to treat her prized possessions roughly in return. Yu Xiaoduo always paid back his debts.
He pulled out his phone and called Li Wei to come pick him up.
Suddenly, Yu Xiaoduo became aware of numerous furtive glances. Men all around him were staring. Even guys on the opposite side of the street were sneaking peeks. Two men were so busy looking that they walked right into each other.
The moment he met their eyes, they’d pretend to be passing by, looking as guilty as thieves.
If he were in their shoes, he’d definitely steal a few glances at a stunning beauty standing on the curb too, secretly thrilled she hadn’t noticed.
But from a woman’s perspective, he knew exactly who was sneaking a look. You just don’t realize it until you’ve been a woman.
That being said, these high heels were seriously uncomfortable. And standing there for just a moment, he already felt warm. He was wearing three layers on his lower half! These leggings were practically a recipe for heat rash.
Yu Xiaoduo came to a conclusion: it’s great to look, but wearing this stuff is a total nightmare, especially in summer.
Just then, a man with a Mediterranean hairstyle—bald on top, fringes on the sides—in a suit walked up. “Hello, miss. I’m a talent scout. I noticed you have an exceptional presence that fits our company’s requirements perfectly. Would you be interested in exploring opportunities?”
Yu Xiaoduo gave him a sideways glance. He knew that look in the man’s eyes all too well. It was the same look he got when he saw a beautiful woman. He knew exactly what this guy was thinking.
“Not interested,” Yu Xiaoduo said. He instinctively went to shove his hands in his pockets, only to remember the skirt didn’t have any. Not knowing what else to do, he folded his arms across his chest, which immediately made his blouse strain at the buttons.
Across the street, a refined-looking man wearing glasses walked straight into a telephone pole.
The Mediterranean scout quickly added, “I guarantee all our resources will be devoted to you. We could make you a household name, a top-tier star in no time. A beautiful lady like you shouldn’t be standing out here in the sun.”
Right then, a motorcade approached from down the street. The Maybach in the center pulled up smoothly beside Yu Xiaoduo. Li Wei hopped out of the front passenger seat and said respectfully, “My apologies for the delay, Miss. Traffic was bad.” He then opened the rear door.
Yu Xiaoduo glanced at the scout. “You’re right. I really shouldn’t be standing here in the sun.” With that, he slid into the back seat. The cool air conditioning washed over him, and he finally felt some relief.
Li Wei shut the door and gave the scout a hard, warning look. The man couldn’t help but take a step back. Of course… a woman this stunning wouldn’t be an ordinary person.
Even though it had only been a few minutes, the men around were clearly left wanting more.

Meanwhile, Gu Wan’er arrived on the Human Resources floor. While in the elevator, she had considered the situation. Staying undercover as an employee would be the best way to root out the bad elements within the company. She pulled out her phone to ask where Yu Xiaoduo’s desk was. Just then, a chubby man rushed out from the side, his large, fleshy hand reaching out to touch her.
Gu Wan’er’s eyes narrowed. Instinctively, she executed a grappling hold and pinned Zhao Liang down hard, snapping, “What do you think you’re doing?!”
“Bro! Bro… what are you doing?! You’re gonna break my arm!” Zhao Liang cried out.
Gu Wan’er froze. Damn it. She’d reacted like a woman again. She immediately let go of the chubby man.
Zhao Liang rubbed his shoulder, looking as pitiful and wronged as a scolded wife. He stared at Gu Wan’er. Suddenly, it clicked for her. This was the chubby guy who had been with Yu Xiaoduo yesterday, wasn’t it?
“Yu, my man, I knew you were still mad,” Zhao Liang whimpered.
“I’m not,” Gu Wan’er stated, walking further inside.
Zhao Liang scrambled to keep up, explaining as he went, “Bro, I’ll send you the entire 3D collection, subtitles included. Just let it go, alright? Yesterday was a dangerous situation! You were about to fantasize a thousand and eighty different ways to play with the boss lady’s legs. I couldn’t risk it, man!”
