It took a long while before Qin Yunxuan finally closed the webpage, her face flushed red.
“Ugh, how shameless! The internet in this world really has everything!”
She patted her cheeks, trying to calm herself.
Even though she had closed the tab, the images from the webpage remained vividly imprinted in her mind.
As an adult who had been in the entertainment industry for a year, Qin Yunxuan had never been in a relationship—let alone seen anything so… explicit.
To her, that had always been a mysterious, unexplored subject.

But just as she closed the page, her mouse cursor froze.
The entire desktop became unresponsive.
“Did I… just get a virus?”

She eyed the finished program on her desktop with satisfaction.
Now, all that remained was finding the right buyer.
A smug smile crept onto her face as she imagined the fortune awaiting her.
“Once I’m rich, I’m buying the most luxurious clothes and booking the most expensive spa treatments!”
Her eyes gleamed with determination.

Her phone suddenly buzzed.
It was Zhou Lin, one of Qin Lang’s dormmates.
“What’s up?” she answered, forcing herself to sound casual.
Though she preferred to avoid interacting with Qin Lang’s friends (the less contact, the lower the risk of exposure), she couldn’t afford to act too distant right now.
“Qin Lang, where are you? Someone’s looking for trouble—specifically you,” Zhou Lin’s voice was tense.
Someone’s targeting me?
“Zhou Siyuan from the next class over,” Zhou Lin whispered. “It’s about the Invention Cup.”
“I’m kind of busy right now,” Qin Yunxuan rubbed her temples. “What does he want?”
“You should really come. He’s already threatened to make your life at YunJing University hell. Chen Quan’s arguing with them, and things are getting heated.”
Qin Yunxuan frowned. “Fine. I’ll be there.”
“Main Building, Study Room 3.”

Twenty minutes later, when Qin Yunxuan arrived at Study Room 3, the tension in the air was palpable.
“A wise man doesn’t stand under a dangerous wall… Maybe I should just leave?”
Seeing the group of seven or eight guys inside, her courage wavered.

“Hmph. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll drop out of the competition. Otherwise—”
Qin Yunxuan’s eyes narrowed.
She wasn’t one to pick fights, but she definitely wasn’t the type to back down either.
Drop out? Even if she weren’t interested in the competition (which she totally was), since when did Zhou Siyuan get to dictate her choices?
“Otherwise… what? You’ll beg us on your knees?”
Her tone was ice-cold.
Zhou Siyuan’s jaw dropped, as if he couldn’t believe what he’d just heard.
“Pfft—” Chen Quan and the others burst out laughing. None of them expected Qin Lang to clap back that hard.
“You— Do you even realize what you’re saying?” Zhou Siyuan gritted his teeth.
Qin Yunxuan nodded.
“Of course. If you’re asking for a favor, you should at least ask properly. What’s so strange about that?”
Zhou Siyuan took a deep breath. “Fine. Fine. Qin Lang, seems like your whole dorm is full of stubborn idiots. If you won’t quit voluntarily, don’t blame me for what happens next.”
“Sorry, but you’re too ugly. We don’t want to play with you.” She shook her head dismissively.
Zhou Siyuan’s face turned crimson with rage. This guy’s mouth was lethal.
“Oh, and if you’re planning to hit me, better do it fast. I just told Professor Zhao I’d meet her soon to discuss the Invention Cup.”
She checked her watch. “We’re on a tight schedule, so hurry up.”
Her words were like a bucket of cold water, instantly dousing Zhou Siyuan’s urge to throw hands.
“Alright. This isn’t over. You’ll regret this.”
Qin Yunxuan smiled sweetly. “Sure, sure. Just don’t take too long—I’d hate to graduate before you make your move. That’d be such a waste of our youth.”
Zhou Siyuan clutched his chest, shot her one last venomous glare, and stormed out with his lackeys in tow.
“Holy crap, that was intense!” Chen Quan and the others exhaled in relief once Zhou Siyuan was gone.
“Qin Lang, since when did you grow a backbone? Talking to Zhou Siyuan like that—you’re officially the bravest guy in our department!”
“Yeah, my heart was in my throat the whole time!”
“Qin Lang, you absolute legend!”
Qin Yunxuan, however, was starting to feel uneasy.
“Why are you all so scared of him, anyway?”
“You don’t know?” Chen Quan gaped at her. “Zhou Siyuan’s dad’s a high-up in the city’s education bureau. His mom’s family runs a huge business, and his older brother owns a martial arts school. The guy owns this campus.”
“Plus, he’s a top student—all the professors adore him. But behind their backs? Total tyrant.”
“Last year, some guy competed with him over a girl. Zhou Siyuan set him up so badly he had to drop out. Rumor is he’s still in therapy for depression.”
Qin Yunxuan’s blood ran cold.
This guy’s that powerful?
After a long pause, she finally spoke.
“So… do you think it’s too late for me to apologize?”
