The black-clad old woman, held by Su Fan, was so stunned she even forgot to struggle.
She knew clearly that the young man before her wasn’t a denizen of this strange realm, but a living person whose soul had journeyed here.
Living beings who entered the pitch-black strange realm were always trembling and cautious.
Even if their souls were inherently more powerful, fear often prevented them from utilizing that strength.
So how could this young man be so ferocious?!
“I’m asking you a question. Weren’t you swaggering around and threatening me before?”
Su Fan gripped her neck, lifting and shaking her.
The old woman offered no resistance, her limbs flailing like a puppet on the verge of falling apart!
Finally, the black-clad old woman snapped out of it.
Her eyes, devoid of whites, flashed with malice as she prepared to shriek, but then she saw the crowbar swinging towards her.
Thwack!
Elise and the female ghost watched from the side as Su Fan smashed the black-clad old woman’s head to pieces!
The female ghost trembled all over, swallowed hard, and shakily moved closer to Elise.
“Ma’am, the person you brought this time… are you sure he’s not a murderer?”
You’re overthinking it; no murderer is as terrifying as him.
Elise had seen evil spirits before, each with several lives on their hands, but few could match the brutality of this young man.
After blowing the creature’s head off, Su Fan suddenly felt something was amiss. He carefully examined the headless body in his hand.
“Turns out it’s a cross-dressing pervert too.”
He sneered and threw it to the ground.
“What?”
Elise seemed not to have heard clearly.
“This guy is male. Don’t know what his deal is, dressing up like this.”
Su Fan answered while looking around, his brow furrowed.
Both the previous female ghost and this cross-dressing old man, after being injured, had some of their power dissipate.
Is this space drawing power from the ghosts and souls that enter it?
“Is he dead now?”
The female ghost asked fearfully, gesturing with her eyes towards the black body on the ground.
“Not yet.”
“He’s dead… What did you say?!”
The female ghost was so frightened she took half a step back.
On the ground, the black-clad old man’s body hadn’t vanished like the previous female ghost; it still maintained its form.
“Stop playing dead. I know you can still get up. Still thinking about a sneak attack? Have you no shame?”
Su Fan’s words seemed to provoke the evil spirit on the ground. Its headless body floated up and stood again, then black mist coalesced to reform the head.
“How many times can you resurrect? Twice? Three times? It doesn’t matter. I can keep killing you until you can’t resurrect anymore, until your soul scatters.”
Su Fan tapped the crowbar against his palm, speaking the most brutal words in the calmest tone.
The old man stared at Su Fan with immense venom, yet he was also wary of Su Fan’s power and dared not approach.
Since he was being so polite, Su Fan decided not to stand on ceremony either!
He raised his hand to use his pulling ability, but the next second, the black-clad old man dissolved into gray mist and vanished before their eyes.
Simultaneously, the surroundings underwent a drastic change!
The elegant villa they were in had somehow transformed into a derelict house.
Su Fan looked at Elise.
She understood he wanted an explanation.
“The space within the strange realm isn’t completely continuous; it’s more like jumping from one place to another…”
“That’s also why I said it’s easy to get lost.”
“I see.”
Su Fan nodded, accepting this quickly.
The layout and furnishings around them weren’t particularly special. If there was anything different, it was the huge oil painting hanging on the wall.
The painting depicted a woman and a child, presumably the lady of the house and her child.
“Where have we ended up now?”
Elise had never been to this place either.
“The change was caused by that old bastard. This must be a place he lived in the past.”
“And I can feel he’s still nearby.”
By turning into mist to briefly make Su Fan lose his target, the black-clad old man had stumbled upon a lucky move.
But Su Fan wouldn’t give him a second chance to play tricks.
“You ghosts are so strange… always hiding and playing at sneak attacks.”
Mary Shaw was, Freddy was, and now this old man too.
Against ordinary people, perhaps appearing unexpectedly from the darkness could fluster them.
But was Su Fan ordinary?
Unveiling the Unseen…
Before Su Fan’s eyes, everything became crystal clear. He advanced deep into the mansion without hesitation.
Elise followed behind Su Fan, carrying her small lamp, her face full of vigilance.
Evil spirits were everywhere in the strange realm, yet this long-abandoned house didn’t have a single one in sight.
There was only one possibility.
This place was the territory of an extremely vicious evil spirit.
She didn’t ask how Su Fan could navigate in the darkness; every exorcist had their own unique methods.
For now, all she needed to do was follow Su Fan and see if she could lend a hand at a critical moment.
Su Fan’s steps halted before a bookshelf.
In his vision, enhanced by his ability, the resentment of the unjustly killed was continuously seeping out from behind the bookshelf.
Su Fan swung his crowbar again, shattering the bookshelf in three strikes, revealing a hidden space behind it.
Inside, corpses covered by white cloths stood or sat limply in chairs.
Blood seeped from the tops of the cloths, hinting at the gruesome manner of death beneath.
Elise touched a white cloth and her eyes widened.
In that moment, she saw the final scenes from the victims’ lives.
The old man applied pale foundation to his own face, painted on black lipstick, and put on a black wedding dress.
The victim, a young girl, gagged, could only emit fearful whimpers as she watched the old man approach step by step, holding a saw and pliers…
These corpses were all innocent people killed by the cross-dressing old man during his lifetime!
The horrifying scene shook Elise to her core!
Still rattled, she didn’t forget to relay the information.
“Su… he might be among them…”
“If we need to uncover them to search, be very careful!”
Before Elise could finish, she was interrupted by another dull thud.
Looking closely, one of the corpses sitting on a chair had been shattered along with the chair by the crowbar.
“Why uncover them? If he likes hiding in there, let him stay hidden.”
Talking didn’t slow his work. Between sentences, Su Fan struck again, reducing several more corpses to nothingness.
“Seems it’s not these ones.”
Su Fan muttered to himself, lifting the crowbar and moving towards another pile of white cloths.
Just then, one of the white cloths to the side suddenly flew up!
It charged towards Su Fan’s “exposed” back!
Terrifying claws had already torn through the cloth. The cross-dressing evil spirit raised its blackened claws, sneering as it aimed to rip out Su Fan’s heart from behind!
It moved so fast that Elise, standing to the side, didn’t even have time to scream!
But in that split second, Su Fan spun around abruptly and delivered another crowbar strike directly to the creature’s skull, smashing it down from mid-air onto the ground with a heavy thud!
“Entrapment. Works every time.”
