“What’s wrong?”
Sam was seeing his brother like this for the first time and hurriedly smeared the clear liquid from the small bottle onto his eyelids.
When he opened his eyes again, Sam saw at least a dozen souls wandering in the living room.
Their faces were pale, their eyes vacant, with deep, dark hollows sunk into their sockets.
In addition, many souls are mutilated and crippled.
Upon sensing that the two men could see them, they all turned their heads in unison.
It made Sam’s heart jump into his throat.
“I’ve never heard of water on willow leaves letting people see ghosts!” Dean’s voice was full of astonishment.
“Ordinary willow leaf water is useless. It needs to be infused with special power. Think of it as my patent,” Su Fan’s voice came from the staircase.
“Let’s go. This isn’t where the evil spirit is.”
Dean and Sam, carefully avoiding the wandering souls, followed Su Fan’s steps to the second floor.
Along the way, souls occasionally passed up through the floorboards, appearing right by their feet.
It made the Winchester brothers extremely uncomfortable.
“Su, why aren’t they going near you? Are you wearing something like a protective amulet?” The short distance felt painfully long, irritating Dean.
“Must be my good character,” Su Fan replied casually.
He wasn’t deliberately releasing his aura, but he still held a natural pressure over the spirits. As long as they weren’t stupid, they wouldn’t actively approach him.
The three finally stopped before a certain room door.
Looking at this door, a nostalgic expression appeared on Dean’s face. Sam just looked confused.
“This was your nursery when you were a baby,” Dean explained.
“After what happened, we moved away from this house. You were still pretty little back then…”
“This is where the evil spirits are gathered.”
Su Fan pushed the door open, and the brothers followed right behind.
As soon as they entered, they were shocked by the dense crowd of souls before their eyes.
This cramped room couldn’t possibly hold so many spirits; they were crammed together on the four walls, the floor, and even the ceiling.
On the floor, a pool of dark, black blood was attracting these souls, drawing them constantly closer.
However, the most eye-catching was a particular black shadow among them.
It radiated an evil and violent aura, with only its eyes glowing faintly with a red light like lanterns.
The shadowy figure crawled in the room like a beast, scaling from the floor up onto the wall.
Realizing that all three could see it, it opened its mouth wide, letting out a silent scream.
The lightbulb in the room shattered, and a dresser actually lifted into the air, flying straight at the trio!
The Winchester brothers were no pushovers either, trained from childhood by their father for this kind of work. Dodging such an attack was within their capability.
However, the moment they sidestepped, they saw the flying dresser suddenly freeze in mid-air as if time had stopped, right in front of Su Fan.
Then, it actually retraced its flight path back to its original position.
Dean and Sam then remembered the abilities of the man before them and quickly stepped back to stand behind Su Fan.
The latter raised his hand and patted his slightly bulging coat pocket.
“Time to get to work.”
As Su Fan’s words fell.
The tarot cards in his pocket flew out on their own, and a dense, black mist began to diffuse from them, flowing down like liquid.
The black mist quickly condensed into the shape of a woman wearing a veil, her black skirt swaying as if in a wind.
Su Fan glanced around the room.
“Many of you died innocent deaths, drawn here against your will.”
“I’ll give you one chance. Leave this place within ten seconds, or be destroyed along with that thing over there.”
“Ten…”
As Su Fan began the countdown, the Seer Ghost also started to release her ghostly energy bit by bit.
Unlike these lost souls, she had some abilities in life, and after death, she gained power through a pact with a demon.
Compared to them, the Seer Ghost was like a strong, seasoned warrior facing infants in swaddling clothes.
As the oppressive feeling gradually intensified, the souls among the ghosts who retained a sliver of reason immediately fled the place.
The rest looked towards the central black shadow, not daring to move.
“Six… five…”
“Time’s about up…”
As soon as Su Fan uttered this phrase, several more souls hurriedly fled.
“Three… two… one!”
Su Fan roughly estimated; the souls that left within ten seconds seemed to make up only about one-fifth of the total.
The others were either obeying the black shadow’s command or were unwilling to give up the power from the demon’s blood that attracted them.
In Su Fan’s ghost-seeing vision, the spiritual bodies of the vast majority of those remaining showed a red, bloody aura.
Clearly, they had taken lives before.
Good.
“Since you won’t leave, then you can all stay.”
“Take them out.”
At Su Fan’s command, the Seer Ghost’s energy was completely unleashed!
The thick black mist spread throughout the entire room almost in the blink of an eye.
Many of the weaker ghosts were immediately killed and devoured by the various monsters that emerged from the black mist.
The Magician, The High Priestess, The Hanged Man, The Devil, The Fool…
As tarot cards flew out one after another, twisted, eerie humanoid figures also materialized around the dark shadowy ghost.
They surrounded it, then all pounced at once!
Piercing, ear-splitting wails and howls continuously rang out.
Dean and Sam couldn’t help but cover their ears.
Although there was no blood, the fight between the ghosts was far more intense than they had imagined.
The Hermit used his cloak to continuously devour, crunching and munching sounds coming from beneath the black robe.
The Hanged Man was more direct, using the rope in his hands to lasso several souls, biting their heads to pieces.
The combined efforts of several tarot manifestations made their killing efficiency beyond imagination!
The numerous minor spirits present were almost dealt with in the blink of an eye, leaving only the shadowy ghost versus the Seer Ghost.
The shadowy ghost was quite powerful, perhaps due to drawing strength from the demon’s blood. It repeatedly repelled the attacks of the tarot monsters, dealing heavy blows to them.
But the Seer Ghost, holding position at the rear, could always use the black mist to repair them, then launch attack after attack.
Gradually, the black shadowy ghost’s power waned. Unable to sustain itself, it was soon torn apart and devoured by the tarot manifestations.
By the time they transformed back into tarot cards and returned to the shadows, Dean and Sam could clearly feel that the Seer Ghost’s black mist had become even denser.
Such powerful pressure made the brothers almost want to step back.
Having grown stronger, would she still obey Su Fan’s commands?
However, they soon dismissed their doubts.
After the devouring was complete, she gradually transformed into a wisp of black mist and once again retreated into the tarot card.
Su Fan, sensing the changes in the Seer Ghost, felt quite surprised.
The Seer Ghost’s current state had recovered to about the same level as when she fought him before.
Not a bad harvest. A couple more times like this, and she’d probably advance to the next stage.
