As An Antique Shop Owner, It’s Only Reasonable That I Know A Bit Of Magic Chapter 163

The coalescing thunder—or rather, the pillar of lightning—radiated a terrifying force.

The firefight between the cultists and the police officers came to an abrupt halt. Some people couldn’t even hold onto their guns, dropping them to the ground.

The cultists, tears streaming down their faces, trembled all over and knelt prostrate on the ground.

They had witnessed the wrath of a god.

The thunder in the sky must have gathered to punish them, these evildoers who had abandoned Yahweh. There was no other path left but to beg for forgiveness.

Sam looked down at the skin on his hand, which had just been burned red.

He distinctly remembered that a lava hell had descended moments ago, intent on swallowing them all.

But in the blink of an eye, it had vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.

However, compared to that, the scene unfolding in the sky was far more shocking!
“He flew up there… Is that Su?”

Dean tilted his head back, staring at the figure surrounded by crisscrossing bolts of lightning, unsure what to make of it.

After knowing him for several days, he was finally witnessing Su Fan fighting in earnest.

He thought he had already held him in high regard, but what he was seeing with his own eyes surpassed his understanding.

Beside him, his brother Sam was beyond shocked.

Although he had seen the Five Thunder Talisman before, the lightning released by that talisman was nothing compared to what was gathering around Su Fan now!
The lightning, clearly visible even from such a distance, had to be several meters in diameter, and it was still converging!
Directly controlling lightning was something no human should be able to do. What they were witnessing now felt more like a miracle!

Across from Su Fan, Paimon’s eyes were bloodshot and weeping blood. A blood-red demonic apparition materialized around him, its mouth agape in a roar!
In the sky, on one side, thunder crashed and lightning flashed, brilliant and magnificent; on the other side, a bloody light surged skyward, eerie and terrifying!
Su Fan suddenly swung his hand, and a thick bolt of lightning descended from the thunderclouds, like a blade of lightning cleaving through the clouds!

Boom!

The collision between the pillar of lightning and the blood-red demon produced a shockwave that made the earth tremble.

Under the onslaught of lightning, Paimon’s demonic apparition melted away as swiftly as a snowflake in a blazing fire.

It wasn’t just the apparition; the blood-red mist enveloping the entire community was also completely dispersed!

Paimon’s face was etched with shock. He had never imagined that lightning could possess such overwhelming power.

He immediately moved to cast a spell to defend himself, but lightning was swift—how could it give him time to dodge or block?

With nothing left to obstruct it, the thunder dragon roared forward, engulfing Paimon in an instant, connecting the earth to the sky in a blinding flash.

At the same time, the human camel beneath Paimon let out a agonized shriek.

Black blood sprayed from the mouths, noses, and eyes of the three remaining faces on the camel’s torso. They emitted a horrifying wail, shattering one after another!
When the last face shattered, Paimon’s body was finally revealed from within the pillar of lightning.

The human camel had been reduced to ashes, completely gone, leaving behind only Paimon, who was nearing exhaustion.

His clothes had been burnt to cinders, his body was charred, and his face was a bloody, mangled mess.

But before Paimon could make another move, he saw the figure opposite him, sword in hand, descending rapidly toward him!
Ignoring the growing weakness in his body, Su Fan once again channeled the “Demon-Slaying” enchantment onto his sword!
The thunderous power was overwhelming; Paimon couldn’t withstand it. His three remaining life-saving opportunities were all used up.

If not now, when?!
Seeing the black-haired young man descending, the green-glowing sword in his hand, Paimon finally realized he was outmatched.

A flash of blue light shot out from his body!

He was abandoning this vessel, returning to his true body!
Ahead of his fleeing form, a hazy, grayish chaotic vortex materialized!

The blue light moved with incredible speed; Su Fan couldn’t keep up in his current state.

Gritting his teeth, Su Fan activated the “Summon” spell again!

His spiritual energy was depleted, the backlash from the divine ability was hitting him, and the “Summon” spell was far less effective. He couldn’t pull the blue light streaking through the air back to him, only managing to freeze it for a single instant.

Just as Paimon was about to enter the vortex, a streak of sword light flashed—Su Fan’s flying sword was in pursuit!

Su Fan, having lost his sword in hand and unable to sustain his flight, began to plummet rapidly from the sky.

Even so, his eyes remained locked on the blue light, guiding his flying sword towards it!

The sharp blade slashed off a portion of the light. Just as it was about to shred it completely, an unseen, immense force deflected the flying sword!
The violent force reverberated back to Su Fan, throwing his internal energy into chaos and causing him to spit out a mouthful of blood!
Within the vortex, a single enormous, pitch-black eye was revealed, radiating a chilling, eerie terror that made one’s skin crawl.

Despite his severe injuries and impending fall, Su Fan’s eyes blazed with killing intent. He glared at the eye in the sky, forcing himself to control the sword once more!

But the next second, the chaotic vortex vanished.

The flying sword struck empty air and fell, no longer able to return to its master.

Seeing this, the expressions of Dean and the others instantly changed!!

Free-falling from that height, could Su survive?

They had clearly seen Su coughing up blood in the air.

Unsure of what they could do, they still rushed towards where Su Fan was falling!
But one figure was faster than them.

Ron arrived first, reaching out her slender, pale arm upward.

Channeling her telekinesis, she gradually slowed Su Fan’s descent.

He eventually landed softly, like a leaf naturally drifting down, touching the ground with ease.

The others sighed in relief upon seeing this.

Ron had assumed Su Fan had lost consciousness, but to her surprise, he remained awake.

Was he forcing himself to stay lucid?
If Su Fan knew what Ron was thinking, he probably would have managed a wry smile.

He’d like to just pass out like they do in the movies, too.

But what could he do? His spirit and soul were just too resilient.

Besides, the nature of this backlash seemed to require him to endure it fully while conscious.

So what else could he do? Grit his teeth and ride it out.

Ron tried to use her abilities to assess Su Fan’s internal condition, but found she couldn’t see anything.

Remembering Su Fan’s unique nature, she dropped the idea.

Just as she was about to use her own medical knowledge to examine his injuries, Su Fan spoke up.

“Just help me get somewhere to rest…”

“I know. Don’t forget what I do for a living. Don’t talk right now.”

Ron nodded.

While they were talking, the detectives also came over to check on him.

The cultists had all surrendered and were being watched by other officers, no longer a concern.

The important thing was Su Fan’s current condition.

“He can’t move on his own right now. Can someone find a stretcher? A wheelchair would work too.”

The detective looked around at the community, now completely reduced to rubble, a hint of bewilderment in his eyes.

“Just carry me… No need to go to all that trouble.”

Su Fan said helplessly.

The backlash was severe, sure, but he wasn’t a porcelain doll that would shatter at the slightest touch.

Sitting in a wheelchair? That would be ridiculous. It would make it look like Paimon had turned him into Stephen Hawking or something.
