Honkai: Oh No, I’ve Become the Herrscher of Corruption?! Chapter 116

Enoxia continued her attempts, but each time before she could touch Sirin, the surrounding space would be sliced apart. Even when she nearly succeeded, Sirin would simply teleport away. Infiltration was impossible—she couldn’t even make physical contact.

After a futile burst of rage, Enoxia  reverted to human form and summoned the Floral Past, firing an arrow at Sirin.

Sirin responded with her usual method—slicing the space around the arrow. But the moment she raised her finger, the single arrow multiplied into a storm of projectiles.

Unfazed, Sirin snapped her fingers with her right hand, summoning countless portals that swallowed every arrow.

Yet something felt wrong. One of the portals showed an anomaly. Enoxia had concentrated all her power into a single point, bypassing the Herrscher of Corruption’s authority and instead relying on raw Herrscher-level Honkai energy to forcibly pierce a hole through the portal.

The sudden shift caught Sirin off guard. Before she could react, Enoxia slipped inside her body.

The corrupting power spread through Sirin, but instead of the expected coldness, she felt a scorching heat—like flames—emanating from Enoxia. It was the burning desire to save everyone, coupled with the guilt of having failed to do so.

Feeling this, Sirin was genuinely enraged. Her intense rejection, amplified by her Herrscher-level defenses, disrupted Enoxia’s corruption. Forced to retreat, Enoxia condensed her power again.

But this time, Sirin opened a portal inside her own body and expelled Enoxia outright.

Now it was Enoxia’s turn to be stunned. As Void Lances shot toward her, she swiftly digitized her body… yet in the next moment, the lances struck her anyway, sending her flying before pinning her against a wall.

In the real world, physical Void Lances would have passed harmlessly through her digitized form. But this was imaginary space, where the rules of reality didn’t apply. Enhanced by Sirin’s modifications, the lances could pierce even Enoxia’s data-state body.

Tap.

Tap.

Tap.

Sirin descended step by step on circular white platforms conjured by the Herrscher of the Void’s authority. Enoxia struggled but found herself completely immobilized—unable to move or shift forms.

“You’ve always been like this, Enoxia. Always,” Sirin said, her voice low as the melody of Honkai World Diva began to play.

“You take on the greatest risks, yet act like it’s nothing.”

“You saved me. You saved everyone. But you bear all the pain alone—even if it costs you your life!”

“Sirin—!” Enoxia’s voice was weak, her raised hand dropping limply.

“This… is my duty…”

“Shut up. You’re a Herrscher—an emissary of the Honkai, meant to destroy the world. Since when do Honkai heralds have a mission to save it?” Sirin’s voice dripped with scorn. “A Herrscher capable of ending the world at any moment chooses not to, and suddenly, humanity ought to grovel in gratitude?”

Enoxia lowered her head, offering no rebuttal. There was none to give.

Sirin raised her hand, and the surrounding space began to collapse.

“Sure, I understand the grand ideals of saving the world. But how am I supposed to accept this?”

Memories flashed through Sirin’s mind—of Enoxia standing by her when the world turned against her in Babylon Tower, of Enoxia reviving her with the power of Corruption when she had been broken by Cecilia’s death.

“All I know… is that to me, you matter more than this world!”

Her hand clenched. The collapsing space generated a violent inward pull, dragging Enoxia deeper despite her struggles.

Hearing Sirin’s final words, Enoxia let out a cold laugh.

“Bella is right here. You expect me to believe this in front of her?”

Sirin paused, then met her gaze with unwavering resolve.

“What’s the issue? You, Bella, Mother—if destroying the world would bring you back, I’d do it without hesitation.”

“And in my heart, after Bella… you come first.”

For a moment, light returned to Enoxia’s eyes—before she clutched her head and screamed in agony. Twin blue flames erupted from her body, clawing desperately at her form, refusing to let go.

“Enough. Give my Enoxia back to me!”

“AAAAHHH—!”

With another surge of power from Sirin, the flames shrieked before being torn away and scattered into nothingness.

Sirin teleported to Enoxia’s side in an instant, catching her in a tight embrace. After confirming she was safe, she snapped her fingers, summoning Bella as well.

After a long moment, Enoxia’s eyes fluttered open—meeting Sirin’s worried gaze. Weakly, she reached up and touched Sirin’s cheek.

“Sirin… I knew you’d come for me.”

Sirin stiffened.

“You… knew?”

Enoxia shook her head.

“Not entirely. Before entering the Sea of Quanta, I hadn’t prepared to face another Herrscher of Corruption. When she overpowered me, I realized… the only way to resist her was through you.”

Yet Sirin’s expression remained troubled.

“Don’t worry,” Enoxia reassured her. “The knowledge you gained—I have it too. There may be multiple ways to surpass the Finality, but due to interference—mainly from Otto—the path taken was the one requiring the least sacrifice.”

“Your survival changes things, but it doesn’t mean the Kiana born from your legacy won’t exist. I’ve already thought of a way—with your help, we can artificially recreate a Kiana with the same nature, even under different circumstances.”

Sirin’s eyes widened.

“That’s… impossible.”

“It’s not. Once we return to the real world, I’ll explain everything. And no, it won’t put me at risk.”

Enoxia’s voice grew firmer.

“As for saving everyone… you overestimate me. The ‘me’ here might have tried, but I’ve never believed all humans deserve salvation. If it comes to it, I’ll use those I deem unworthy as pawns—to buy time for the rest.”

Her gaze sharpened.

“So defeating ‘Enoxia’… is the last thing we need to do.”
