Bai Xuanmo was frantic. “Sinian, have you managed to contact anyone outside?”
Ye Sinian’s expression was grim. “No. The entire area’s signals are being blocked.”
They had rushed here after receiving intel about an arms depot, only to realize it was a trap—one specifically targeting Yun Nuo.
The enemy knew Yun Nuo’s weaknesses all too well.
No matter how strong Yun Nuo was, he was still human—a soldier who valued loyalty above all else.
Once he realized the trap was meant for him, he ordered Bai Xuanmo, Ye Sinian, and the others to evacuate while he stayed behind to dismantle the bombs.

Ye Sinian was too frantic to think straight. Seeing Ye Shaohua only fueled her irritation. “What the hell are you doing here?! Do you think this is some convenience store, open to anyone? Get her out of here!”
She hadn’t even considered how Ye Shaohua had bypassed the enemy’s defenses to enter.
Bai Xuanmo’s expression darkened as he recalled Ye Shaohua’s connection to Yun Nuo.
However, Yun Nuo’s most trusted subordinate spoke up. “Miss Ye, can you get the Captain out?”
Let Ye Shaohua take him? Was this a joke?
Before Ye Sinian could protest, Ye Shaohua answered, “I can.”
“Then he’s your responsibility,” the subordinate said decisively. “The rest of you, with me—we’ll buy time.”
The exits were already surrounded.
“You know who’s inside,” Yun Nuo’s subordinate exchanged blows with one of the enemies but was quickly overpowered. He spat out blood and glared at the golden-haired, green-eyed man across from him. “Aren’t you afraid of retribution from Yun’s faction?”
The green-eyed man smirked darkly. “Exactly because of who he is, I’m here to kill him. Five years ago, he slaughtered half our assassin alliance. My master and senior brothers died by his hand. Do you think I’d let that slide?”

Hearing the name, Bai Xuanmo and Ye Sinian paled.
Especially when they recognized the green-eyed man.

He should’ve known better than to expect anything from her.
And now Yun Nuo hadn’t even been evacuated.
Viper ignored Ye Shaohua entirely, focusing on Bai Xuanmo. “Xuanmo, you traitor to the Assassin Alliance. Today, I’ll start with you.”
Bai Xuanmo wasn’t surprised his identity was exposed.
He remained composed. “I’m an undercover agent. Your alliance murdered over a thousand civilians. I was just delivering justice.”
Perhaps he had always known this day would come.
Bai Xuanmo stepped forward, glancing back at the others. “Find a way to escape. Don’t help me. Viper will come for me first—you still have a chance.”
He took a deep breath.
