I Swapped Bodies with the Pop Diva Chapter 11

Early the next morning, Luo Ming was yanked out of bed by Sister Shan.

“Maumau, hurry up. Go for a more mature, alluring look with your makeup.”

“I haven’t even had breakfast yet!” Luo Ming protested.

“Wen Jie, I’ve got some milk for you.” Chen Sichu handed Luo Ming a carton of pure milk, with the straw already poked in.

Half an hour later, Chen Junmiao’s look was done. At this moment, “Lin Shuwen” had her jet-black hair curled into big waves, cascading over her half-bare shoulders, her fair skin faintly visible. She wore a wine-red gown layered with black mesh, capturing an air of mystery and languor to perfection. Black velvet gloves wrapped her hands, and her lips were as fiery as flames, oozing charm.

Luo Ming was completely mesmerized.

“Wow! Wen Jie, you look gorgeous. Even I, as a woman, am smitten,” Chen Sichu exclaimed.

Hearing Chen Sichu’s words snapped Luo Ming back to reality.

“Alright, alright! Enough with the chatter. Let’s move out! Wenwen, this shoot is your first major endorsement, so we can’t afford any slip-ups.”

Luo Ming obediently nodded.

On the way, Sister Shan tossed a folder at Luo Ming. “Wenwen, go over the shoot requirements again. Don’t mess up.”

Luo Ming flipped through the folder quickly and found out what the endorsement was for.

This luxury brand existed in Luo Ming’s previous life too—it was YSL. He’d even bought its lipstick for his crush back then.

Lin Shuwen’s endorsement was for YSL’s handbags.

But there was quite a bit of catch to it. To put it bluntly, this endorsement only covered a few newly launched handbags. The gap between endorsing a single product and being the overall brand ambassador was huge.

That said, given Lin Shuwen’s current status, landing a single-product endorsement with YSL was already pretty good.

With this foot in the door, it’d be easier to snag similar endorsements down the line.

No wonder Sister Shan took it so seriously.

As for the shoot requirements, they were basically just about posing for the photographer.

An hour later, the van pulled up in front of an office building.

Sister Shan led Lin Shuwen up to the sixth floor, which housed a photography studio.

“Oh my god! Shan, you’ve put on more weight!” A white man in his forties with a thick beard greeted them in fluent Mandarin.

“David, we’re close and all, but if you tease me about my weight again, I’m walking.”

“Don’t! I’m sorry. And this must be Miss Lin Shuwen, right? Even prettier than in photos. She’s the perfect handbag spokesperson for this season.”

Sister Shan beamed at that. Lin Shuwen’s looks were indeed undeniable—that’s why she’d picked her right at the start of her career. This endorsement also came about because David had singled her out; otherwise, with her status, it wouldn’t have been her turn.

“Wenwen, let me introduce you. This is David. He’s from the UK.”

“Hello, Teacher David.”

“No need for ‘Teacher.’ Just call me David. I’m just the one taking pictures. The real beautiful scenery is the subject itself—just like you, Miss Lin.”

“Thank you for the compliment.”

After a round of mutual flattery, the shoot officially began.

Lin Shuwen moved like a puppet, striking various poses with YSL clutches under David’s direction.

They shot from 10 a.m. all the way to 2 p.m. Four hours in, Luo Ming felt like his face was frozen stiff from smiling.

Click. With the final photo taken, the product shoot was wrapped up.

Back in the van, Luo Ming rubbed his numb face.

A moment later, Sister Shan returned. She glanced at “Lin Shuwen,” who was sprawled ungracefully in the back seat, rolled her eyes, and said, “Chuchu, go buy two sandwiches—get the smoked beef ones.”

Considering “Lin Shuwen” hadn’t eaten lunch, Sister Shan graciously sent Chen Sichu to grab smoked beef sandwiches.

After downing two sandwiches and a bottle of water, Luo Ming felt alive again.

“Chuchu, we’re heading to the company.”

“Got it, Sister Shan.”

It was Luo Ming’s first time at Lin Shuwen’s company, so he was a bit nervous—mostly afraid of slipping up. He couldn’t help asking, “Sister Shan, what are we going to the company for?”

“Old Huang’s there today. We’re going to request a song.”

This was the second time Luo Ming had heard about Old Huang. The first was back at Director Liu’s movie press conference, right after they’d swapped bodies. Back then, Sister Shan had mentioned wanting Old Huang to write the lead single for Lin Shuwen’s album.

That told him Old Huang was probably a big-shot music producer.

And that was exactly the case. Old Huang’s full name was Huang Shengze, 37 years old. He was one of the top music producers at Lin Shuwen’s company, Huayue Entertainment, and an old friend of Sister Shan’s.

On the way, Sister Shan had Lin Shuwen change out of the gown. The van had spare clothes.

Luo Ming picked a beige batwing top, jeans, and a pair of white sneakers.

He really didn’t like the hollow feeling of wearing skirts, so whenever he could choose, he preferred pants.

As for the batwing top, Luo Ming was curious about its exaggeratedly wide sleeves that connected to the sides of the shirt, spreading out like bat wings when you stretched your arms. He particularly wanted to know how it felt to wear one.

As it turned out, it didn’t feel much different from a regular T-shirt—just that his arms felt a bit freer to move.

At 3 p.m. sharp, Lin Shuwen’s van pulled up at the company.

The four of them got out together. Along the way, Luo Ming noticed many people nodding at him.

Following Lin Shuwen’s usual approach, he smiled and nodded back.

They went up to the third floor, to the recording studio. Sister Shan had Chen Junmiao and Chen Sichu wait outside while she took Luo Ming straight into the recording room.

Once inside, Sister Shan glanced around and saw Old Huang wearing headphones, occasionally cursing under his breath.

“Right. Old Huang’s working. Let’s wait.”

Luo Ming nodded.

And wait they did—for over two hours.

Just as Luo Ming was getting restless, a girl with an unmistakably cute and adorable vibe walked out of the recording booth. Honestly, Luo Ming couldn’t bring himself to call her a “woman”—she looked way too young.

Sister Shan, however, clicked her tongue and muttered, “That old hag, nearly thirty and still playing innocent.”

After that grumble, Sister Shan’s face instantly shifted into a bright smile as she went up to greet her.

The three of them chatted cheerfully, occasionally bursting into laughter.

After a few minutes, the “old hag” Sister Shan had mentioned left the studio with a smile.

The moment she was gone, both Sister Shan and Old Huang’s expressions changed simultaneously.

Sister Shan looked utterly disgusted, while Old Huang seemed nauseated.

“Damn it! Shan, you should’ve called out to me when you arrived! Listening to that old woman sing almost made me puke!”

“I didn’t want to interrupt your work.”

“Recording her isn’t work—it’s torture!”

Luo Ming twitched his mouth at the scene. He was still light-years away from the old pros in the industry. Putting aside everything else, that kind of instant face-changing alone would take him years to master.
