Hackers have their own professional ethics and don’t interfere in the daily lives of ordinary people.
But that doesn’t mean they’re exactly low-key. If you make them angry, they’ll even dare to attack the National Intelligence Bureau.
Even the people at the National Intelligence Bureau don’t actually want to mess with them.
And then there’s Y, who suddenly burst onto the hacking scene. He seems to be outdoing the current leader of the Hacker Alliance, and that leader is even considering handing the alliance over to this newcomer who appeared out of nowhere.
The International Peacekeeping Team often works with the Hacker Alliance, and on several occasions, they’ve sought out Ye Shaohua directly.
Although no one on the streets has ever met Ye Shaohua, stories about her are all that circulate within the community.
“Ye Shaohua, I’m the deputy director of the Supervisory Bureau. Please come back with us, along with everyone else here…” said a man in a police uniform, holding a seal and confiscation order in his hand, addressing Ye Shaohua.
Li Wen and the others stood there frozen, beads of cold sweat forming on their foreheads.
“Deputy Director, is that right?” But then, instead of standing up, Ye Shaohua reached out and turned her laptop around to face the deputy director, smiling. “Please take a look at this.”
The deputy director glanced over at the screen. He had been furious when he first got this case involving Ye Shaohua.
He had been determined to make a name for himself, thinking that if he cracked this case, he might even get a promotion.
He walked over and took a look at what was on the computer.
But what he saw was the dark, furious face of his top boss.
“Why did you take people to Miss Ye’s company? The Hacker Alliance already sent the evidence to me. What the hell are you people good for? You couldn’t even figure out such a blatant attempt to smear her name?!”
The deputy director’s eyes widened. “Director Wang, I didn’t—”
He tried to explain, but Ye Shaohua had already turned her laptop back around and didn’t spare him another glance.
Seeing that she was ignoring him, the deputy director slunk off and ran straight out the door.
“Deputy Director, aren’t we arresting anyone?” one of his subordinates asked, completely baffled as he watched him leave like that.
The deputy director’s face was dark, and his voice was icy cold: “Arrest who? We’ve been completely played. Get in touch with the local police and mobilize some officers. We’re going to the Green Gang. And if necessary, we can engage.” He was already on the phone as he spoke, giving orders to get things ready.
Ye Shaohua gave the deputy director an hour to prepare. Then she took her time logging onto Weibo and posted evidence using her alt account.
Ye Shaohua: As shown on the right, this account is also mine. The long image contains the evidence I’ve gathered. Filming for God of All Realms will continue as usual on the 16th. Also, please don’t throw around such low-level accusations like money laundering. To be blunt, I could take that money for a quick spin through international banks and have it laundered in no time. Why would I do such stupid things to launder money? // @Y: [Long Image] [Long Image] [Long Image]
The people who had been demanding that Ye Shaohua show herself completely lost it when they saw this post.
“Wait, I’m so confused. Who the hell is this Y?”
“Is Feisheng still not dead? You can just whitewash yourself with any random picture?”
“Random picture? Are you talking about the next heir of the Unrivaled Hacker Alliance? Don’t show off your ignorance about hackers here, kid. Go search for Y on the dark web and then come back. [Smile]”
“Sorry, I’m the one from the second comment. I’m back to eat my own words!”
Countless people started searching the dark web for Y because of this post.
Others carefully read through the long image.
Meanwhile, Ye Meng had just poured herself a glass of red wine, ready to celebrate.
She had seen Ye Shaohua’s Weibo post, of course, but she didn’t pay it any mind.
She casually opened it but didn’t get a chance to read it carefully because Ye Qing called her.
Just then, the doorbell rang.
She answered the phone while walking to the door.
“Xiao Meng, get out of the house right now! The police are coming for us!” Ye Qing’s panicked voice came through the phone.
But Ye Qing didn’t get an answer. As soon as Ye Meng opened the door, she saw two officers standing there, holding up their badges.
“Ye Meng, please come with us to the station.”
Right then, the call with Ye Qing was disconnected. Ye Meng saw the Weibo interface—it was the post Ye Shaohua had made.
She exploded.
Who the hell is Y?!
Over at Yu Qingjiu’s place, things were pretty much the same.
In the original storyline, he had ridden on the original owner’s coattails twice. The first time was during the contract termination that went to court, which gained him over five million followers. The second time was when Feisheng was being framed by Ye Meng, Ye Qing, and Yin Tianyu—he jumped on that wave of attention too, solidifying his status as a top-tier celebrity.
If Feisheng was done for, the original owner wouldn’t have minded him leaving.
But after leaving, he kept posting pitiful updates on Weibo, dragging Feisheng through the mud all over again. That stirred up his brainless fans to use online pressure to force the police to punish Feisheng’s employees.
Yu Qingjiu probably thought he hadn’t done anything wrong. In fact, he was planning to use the same tactic again.
This time, Ye Shaohua was going to teach him that while riding on someone else’s fame is one thing, her spotlight isn’t something just anyone can latch onto.
“How’s it looking?” Yu Qingjiu watched his follower count skyrocket by tens of thousands, already surpassing twenty million.
The pleasure on his face was unmistakable.
His agent was overjoyed too.
“Pretty good. Your popularity is already rivaling that of top stars. Director Liu just reached out to me. He has an IP drama and wants you for the male lead,” the agent said with a smile. “Good thing you left Feisheng when you did. Otherwise, you’d be like Qu Ran now, getting blacklisted across the entire industry… Huh? Ye Shaohua posted on Weibo. She actually dares to post? She’s already been arrested. Let me see what people are saying about her.”
Shaking his head, he clicked to open the post. The smile on his face vanished the very next second.
Seeing his agent’s expression, Yu Qingjiu frowned in confusion and leaned in to look at the screen.
“After reading all the evidence in the long images, first of all, I owe Feisheng Entertainment an apology. And then, @Ye Meng, @Yu Qingjiu, you two are absolutely disgusting. I’m not someone who usually hates on celebrities, because no matter what, I respect a person’s hard work. But this is the first time I’m going to tear into someone online. Yu Qingjiu, are you enjoying the attention you’re leaching? Have you forgotten who lifted you up in the first place? You ungrateful snake!”
