Who else could it be under the shade of that tree, if not Su Fan?
After leaving the antique shop, he didn’t rush straight to the allegedly haunted, death-stricken villa either.
Instead, he found a roadside café and sat for a while, carefully going through the materials.
He also looked up some other things online.
And just like that, as he was looking, he actually managed to find some problems.
First, there was the previous homeowner.
A single mother living with her two daughters.
She was a very famous psychic medium.
But the reason for her fame wasn’t her own abilities, but rather her younger daughter.
This younger daughter could use a Ouija board to allow the deceased relatives of visitors to possess her body.
The evidence was that a little girl could produce voices of different ages and genders.
According to the information, many clients firmly believed in the younger daughter’s ability to communicate with spirits.
They repeatedly asked questions about things only they and the deceased knew to confirm the spirit’s identity.
And the answers they got were incredibly precise, without a single mistake.
Relying on this ability, the previously struggling single mother made a lot of money and escaped her financial difficulties.
But the good times didn’t last long. Soon, this medium disappeared without a trace, and along with her, the younger daughter with the séance ability vanished as well.
The older daughter suffered a mental breakdown and was sent to a psychiatric facility.
Clearly, their reckless séances had brought disaster.
A huge number of spirits possessing someone repeatedly—how could an ordinary person endure that?
They’d be harmed by the yin energy before long and fall ill.
But the neighbors confirmed that the mother and daughter showed no signs of anything unusual before they disappeared.
[So-called possessions by deceased loved ones were just an illusion. It was the first entity they invited in, messing with things from the very beginning.]
The problem with the Ouija board had continued from the previous homeowner to the present.
The cause needed to be traced back even further.
But such old information couldn’t be easily found with a search engine.
So Su Fan set off, heading towards the address on the note.
After his physical enhancement, his overall abilities had improved again.
Now, his walking speed was already equivalent to his previous running speed.
Intent on taking this opportunity to test his physical body, he skipped using a car and walked swiftly along the road.
It was during this walk that he encountered the group also heading to the villa.
One guy and three girls, their faces serious, and coincidentally heading the same way as Su Fan.
Their identities were easy to guess.
Sure enough, they stopped in front of the target villa.
Watching them carry the board into the villa, Su Fan felt a bit speechless.
He had assumed that after encountering strange events following one séance, this group would have learned their lesson.
They should be staying safely at home, avoiding dark, empty places.
But reality proved he had underestimated the courage of these “heroes and good folks.”
Su Fan was curious to see what exactly this group was trying to do by coming back for another try.
Thinking this, Su Fan stepped out from under the shadow of the trees and, in the blink of an eye, arrived at the door, slipping inside silently.

“Did you notify him?”
Izzy asked.
“Message sent.”
Bill raised his phone to show.
“I bet he won’t see it. He’s already asleep by this hour.”
Maybe because there were more people, or because of the earlier false alarm,
Sarah was doing much better than at the start. She had reverted to her usual tone of voice, ruthlessly roasting her sister’s boyfriend.
“A guy in his twenties with the routine of an antique. So boring.”
After speaking, she looked around.
“Looks exactly the same here as before…”
“Good. It would be bad if anything were different.”
Bill placed the Ouija board on the table and lit the candles and incense.
They had done this routine before, so the process wasn’t unfamiliar.
The location, the tools, even the time were exactly the same.
The only things that had changed were the number of participants and their state of mind.
They placed the lens on the table. Each of the four extended one hand and placed their index and middle fingers on the board.
Izzy took out Lisa’s photo from her pocket and placed it on top.
After the preparations were complete, Debbie slowly spoke.
“As close friends, we sincerely gather to invoke the favor of the spirit world. If there is a ghost here, please reveal yourself.”
Shortly after her words fell, under everyone’s watchful gaze, the wooden board with the embedded lens slid towards “yes.”
“Are you the ghost we summoned last time?”
Bill was the first to ask.
The lens then began to slide continuously across the twenty-six letters.
“It’s me.”
“Hello, friend.”
Seeing these familiar short phrases again, everyone recalled the strange events they had each experienced, their hair standing on end.
“Are you Lisa?”
Debbie asked next.
The lens didn’t hesitate at all and slid towards “no.”
No!
Seeing this, Debbie’s heart sank halfway.
“Were you responsible for everything we experienced before? Why did you do it!”
Izzy’s voice carried a hint of anger.
She had been tortured so badly during this time, unable to eat or sleep peacefully—and it was all this entity’s fault!
The lens didn’t answer Izzy’s question. Instead, it paused for a moment.
The next second, Izzy’s head uncontrollably slammed down onto the table!
The dull thud and the strong vibration made everyone jolt, almost falling off their chairs.
Looking at Izzy, blood had already started to seep from her nose, flowing non-stop.
She screamed in terror, one hand covering her nose while trying to pull the other hand back.
But that arm seemed stuck as if in hardened concrete, completely motionless. No matter how she twisted her body, it was useless.
Seeing this, everyone suddenly realized that their own hands were no longer obeying them and couldn’t be pulled back.
The group, who had been relatively calm up to this point, suddenly changed their expressions drastically.
Unlike last time, this ghost had become much more aggressive and ferocious.
It had started a physical fight over a disagreement!
Even worse, without them realizing it, the entity had taken control of their physical movements.
They couldn’t end this séance game even if they wanted to!
“What’s your name?”
Sarah gathered her courage and asked.
[D… Z…]
“What’s your relationship to Lisa’s death? She didn’t kill herself, did she!”
Debbie suddenly spoke.
In that instant, she seemed to feel a presence radiating intense, cold energy walk past her from behind.
It wasn’t just her. Everyone could feel that bone-chilling cold spreading up from their spines.
They didn’t dare turn their heads, afraid that locking eyes with that terrifying presence would cost them their lives!
The burning candles and incense on the table were extinguished, plunging the room into darkness.
A hand emanating black mist reached out from between the four of them and rested on the board.
It nudged the lens on top towards “yes.”
It was It who did it…
Before being confirmed, guesses are always just guesses.
But when the ghost admits it personally, the resulting feeling of horror is enough to crush a person’s psychological defenses!
Bill’s breathing became extremely heavy. He didn’t know where he found the strength, but he managed to break free from the restraint and held the lens up to his eyes.
