Super Doctor - Chapter 125
Facing his older brother, Xu Hao stood beside Lin Wei, who had just dried her tears but still had slightly reddened eyes. With an awkward smile, he pulled her forward and introduced her to Xu Ze:
“Bro… this is my girlfriend, Lin Wei.”
Xu Ze studied the delicate girl before him—her eyes still faintly red, her face tinged with shyness. Remembering how nervous she had been earlier, worrying over Xu Hao, he nodded in satisfaction and smiled.
“Lin Wei… she’s lovely. Xiao Hao, you’d better treat her well.”
Flushed with happiness at his brother’s approval, Xu Hao quickly nodded. “Of course! Don’t worry about that, bro…”
Lin Wei, however, blushed even deeper at the praise. Softly, she murmured, “Thank you… Brother Ze.”
Xu Ze smiled, then glanced at the bruises on Xu Hao’s face and chuckled, shaking his head. “If Mom sees you like this, she’ll scold you for sure.”
With a sigh, he reached out and gently stroked Xu Hao’s cheek a few times.
Xu Hao stiffened, feeling his face tingle under his brother’s touch. Why is he treating me like a kid? This is so embarrassing…
As the tingling intensified and Xu Ze showed no sign of stopping, Xu Hao’s face burned hotter. In front of all these people… and with Weiwei right here!
Luckily, Xu Ze soon withdrew his hand, satisfied. “Alright… let’s go. We’re running late.”
“Y-yeah, let’s go!” Xu Hao stammered, relieved to escape the spotlight.
Lin Wei watched the brothers with a quiet smile. Brother Ze seems so young, but he dotes on Xu Hao so much…
Then her eyes widened. “Xu Hao! Your face… it’s healed!”
“Huh?” Xu Hao touched his cheek—the stinging pain was completely gone. Stunned, he turned to Xu Ze.
Xu Ze simply grinned. “All better now. Come on, we really need to go.”
Meanwhile, Xu Qing’er had already walked over, still in awe of how effortlessly her brother had taken down those two hulking troublemakers earlier. Not only is he ridiculously handsome, but he’s also this strong?
Recognizing Lin Wei, she linked arms with her. “Let’s go, Weiwei. We’ll ride together.”
Xu Hao, momentarily distracted from his miraculous healing, gaped at the sleek sports car. “Bro… this is yours?”
“Mhm.”
“NO WAY! THIS IS SO COOL!” Xu Hao dashed over, circling the car like an excited puppy before gingerly patting its hood. “This is unreal…”
Rolling his eyes, Xu Ze called out, “Get in, or I’m leaving you behind.”
“Wait for me!” Xu Hao scrambled into the passenger seat, practically vibrating with excitement as he ogled the interior.
As the car roared away, the lingering crowd glanced at Wu Bing and his friend—still pale and sprawled on the ground—before dispersing with muffled laughs. Who knew the unassuming Xu Hao had such an intimidating brother?
Wu Bing clambered up, staring after the vanishing taillights. “Was that a Maserati? I thought Xu Hao’s family was broke!”
His friend shuddered. “That guy… I really thought he’d kill us.” After a pause, he added weakly, “Let’s… not mess with Xu Hao anymore.”
Wu Bing swallowed hard. “Yeah. His brother’s terrifying.”
…..
In the car, Xu Hao gazed at his brother with stars in his eyes. “Can we drop Weiwei off first before heading home?”
“Sure.” Xu Ze checked the rearview mirror. “Weiwei, where do you live?”
“Shui’an Xincheng,” she answered shyly, still marveling at Xu Hao’s enigmatic brother. How does someone from a modest family drive a car like this?
“We’ve got time,” Xu Ze said. “Let’s make a quick stop first.”
At the mall, he led them to the clothing section. “Qing’er, take Weiwei shopping. Pick two outfits each.”
“REALLY? Thanks, bro!” Qing’er squealed, dragging Lin Wei toward the stores.
Lin Wei hesitated. “Oh, I couldn’t—”
Xu Hao cut in, grinning. “Just take it! Didn’t you love that one dress last time?”
Xu Ze trailed behind, watching their joy with quiet warmth. This is why I work so hard—to keep them all happy.
After outfitting everyone (and enduring Xu Hao’s endless preening in the mirror), Xu Ze bought his mother a jade bracelet, a Longines watch for his father, and a pair of Ray-Bans for himself.
Xu Hao gaped as his brother swiped a gold card—no PIN, no signature—for over 20,000 yuan without batting an eye. “What is that card?!”
Lin Wei whispered enviously, “It’s a VIP corporate card… spending limits start at 100,000.”
“BRO, YOU’VE MADE IT!” Xu Hao nearly drooled.
Xu Ze just smirked. After a quick bank stop to withdraw 60,000 yuan, they headed to Shui’an Xincheng—a high-end riverside complex—to drop off Lin Wei.
Once the lovebirds said their goodbyes, the siblings set off for home.
Qing’er studied her brother’s profile as he drove, the sunglasses lending him an air of effortless cool. He’s changed so much these past six months…
Before, his calm demeanor had carried traces of hesitance. Now, it radiated quiet confidence—an undeniable presence. What happened to him?
But one thing was certain:
This version of her brother?
Absolutely dazzling.
