Skills with no cooldown? I become the Undead Scourge! - Chapter 26
“Esteemed guests?”
Liang Shaoyu’s heart skipped a beat. His first instinct was to glance at Qin Wuyao—was this room booked by the Qin family?
If it were, he wouldn’t dare cause trouble.
But to his surprise, Qin Wuyao smirked mischievously, crossing her arms lazily. “Don’t overthink it. It’s not the Qins. This was reserved by Lu Ran’s sister. Your little feud has nothing to do with me—carry on.”
She then leaned back, clearly enjoying the show.
Unfortunately, Liang Shaoyu’s brain wasn’t sharp enough to read between the lines.
Instead, he sighed in relief and sneered, “Lu Ran’s sister? Well, color me curious—what kind of ‘big shot’ could a gutter rat like him possibly know?”
Lu Ran shot Qin Wuyao an exasperated look. He’d already guessed her game: she was deliberately egging Liang Shaoyu on for her own amusement.
Meanwhile, in another private room…
Liang Tai and his guests waited impatiently as dishes began arriving—yet Liang Shaoyu was nowhere in sight.
“Where’s Shaoyu?” Liang Tai snapped at an attendant.
The servant bowed nervously. “Young Master went to Room 88 earlier. He should return soon.”
“Room 88?” Liang Tai stiffened. “That’s the exclusive VIP suite—it hasn’t been opened in years! Who the hell could’ve booked it?”
The attendant, of course, had no answer.
But Liang Tai instantly grasped the severity of the situation. His son bullying classmates was one thing, but offending someone with the clout to reserve Room 88? That was a disaster waiting to happen!
“Gentlemen, pardon me—I’ll fetch him immediately,” Liang Tai forced a smile before rushing out.
…..
When he arrived at Room 88, the scene was chaos:
Liang Shaoyu was arguing with the panicked manager, who kept wiping sweat off his brow. The manager knew exactly who had booked this room—and the consequences of disrupting them would be dire.
“Enough!” the manager finally hissed. “Leave now, or Sky Fate Pavilion will escort you out!”
He signaled for security—
—until Liang Tai stormed in, glowering. “A mere manager dares threaten my son? Try it!”
Ah, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
The manager paled but stood his ground. “Mr. Liang, I urge you to reconsider. The guest here is not someone to provoke. If this escalates, neither of us can bear the fallout.”
Liang Tai wavered—until his son scoffed:
“Dad, don’t listen! This isn’t the Qins’ doing—it’s some nobody sister of Lu Ran’s! Since when does that slum trash deserve to eat here?”
Clearly, Liang Shaoyu was hell-bent on humiliating Lu Ran where it hurt: status and wealth.
But Liang Tai wasn’t as reckless. His gaze flicked to Lu Ran, then to Qin Wuyao’s gleeful smirk, and his stomach dropped.
This is bad.
Regardless of who booked the room, the Liang family had no business interfering.
“We’re leaving,” Liang Tai growled, yanking his son’s arm.
They turned—
THUD.
A mountain of a man blocked their path.
“The fuck?! Move, asshole!” Liang Shaoyu, still fuming, shoved at the stranger.
The manager’s face drained of color. “S-Sir, I—”
The giant raised a hand, silencing him.
Then—
CRACK!
A fist slammed into Liang Shaoyu’s face, sending him flying into the wall like a ragdoll.
-480!
A damage number floated above his head—his HP bar plummeted by half!
Liang Tai saw red but hesitated. This man’s identity might be dangerous…
“You’ll regret this,” he spat. “Sky Fate Pavilion isn’t the place for a fight, but this grudge is noted!”
The giant laughed. “Oh? You disrupt our private room, and I’m the one you’ll remember? Fine—this grudge is also noted!”
He threw back his hood—
Lei Tai.
Liang Tai’s blood turned to ice.
Their names differed by a single character, but their statuses were worlds apart. Lei Tai, leader of the Banner of Iron Vanguard, was a titan Liang Tai could only grovel before.
“L-Lei… Lei Huìzhǎng… Y-You… You booked this…?” Liang Tai stammered.
“Not him. I did.”
A woman’s voice cut through the air as a scarlet-gowned figure lifted her veil—Ye Hongyi, leader of the Crimson Pavilion and Red Leaf Commerce Guild.
Liang Tai’s mind short-circuited.
Before he could react, another voice sighed:
“Must you always be so impulsive?”
Liu Xinxin—leader of Mirage Lotus—unveiled herself, exasperated.
Three.
Three of China’s top four guild leaders (minus the Heavenly Alliance’s Yu Qingcang) were here—for Lu Ran?!
Lei Tai cracked his knuckles. “Couldn’t help it. First proper meal with Lu Ran, and these cockroaches ruin it.”
Ye Hongyi’s gaze frosted over. “Target my brother? This matter will reach Yu Qingcang’s ears.”
Liang Tai trembled. He’d tried to drag his idiot son away—but now, they’d angered three guilds at once. How does anyone survive that?
Even Liang Shaoyu pissed himself silent.
“T-The three Huìzhǎng… My son… he’s young, foolish—” Liang Tai begged.
“Spare us.” Ye Hongyi flicked her sleeve. “Leave.“
The finality in her voice left no room for argument. Liang Tai could only drag his son away, his face ashen with defeat.
