Returning after 10000 Years Cultivation - Chapter 13
“What?!”
At this moment, Zhou Zhenghao could no longer maintain his composure. He exclaimed in shock, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Then, overcome with rage and humiliation, he pointed at Jiang Tian like a furious lion and roared, “Get him! All of you, attack together! I don’t believe one man can walk out of here alive! Whoever takes him down gets a million bucks!”
Where there’s a reward, there’s a brave soul.
The thugs, who had initially been somewhat intimidated by Jiang Tian, were now motivated by the promise of money. Armed with weapons, they charged at Jiang Tian.
“Hmph, I’ve got money and manpower. What do you have to fight me with?” Zhou Zhenghao sneered, then shook his head with mock regret. “At your age, with skills like that, you could’ve been something. Too bad you crossed me. Your only fate is death!”
The thugs clearly had experience in group fights. They coordinated well, fanning out to surround Jiang Tian. Armed with machetes and baseball bats, the scene would have terrified anyone else.
But Jiang Tian simply shook his head dismissively.
“Zhou Zhenghao, don’t you understand? To me, one ant or a swarm of ants makes no difference. They’re all just bugs I can crush with a flick of my finger.”
With that, Jiang Tian moved again.
He unleashed a series of devastating moves—Mountain-Splitting Fist, Heaven-Shattering Palm, and Sparrow-Catching Hand. His powerful kicks sent thugs flying like soccer balls, scattering them in all directions. Some rolled on the ground, writhing in pain.
“Damn it!”
Park Dae-hoon, seeing this, was furious. He charged at Jiang Tian, his long leg swinging high for a powerful downward kick aimed at Jiang Tian’s head.
Jiang Tian snorted coldly and boldly closed the distance. With a masterful spin, he dodged Park Dae-hoon’s kick and followed up with a crushing elbow strike to the face.
Crack!
The sickening sound of bones breaking echoed through the room, sending shivers down everyone’s spine.
Park Dae-hoon’s right cheek caved in, his cheekbone shattered. The once-undefeated fighter from South Korea now lay at Jiang Tian’s feet, clutching his face and screaming in agony.
With that, all of Zhou Zhenghao’s men were down, unable to fight.
Dealing with these trash, I still have to hold back. If I used even half my strength, I’d probably kill them and end up in legal trouble, Jiang Tian thought to himself, shaking his head.
He stepped over the thugs sprawled on the ground and walked up to Zhou Zhenghao. Sitting down casually in a chair, he smiled and said:
“You asked me what I have to fight you with? Are these fists enough?”
“You…” Zhou Zhenghao, who had dominated Linzhou for years, was truly scared now.
His three top fighters had been taken down in one move each, and a dozen thugs had been incapacitated in under half a minute. This was a literal instant knockout!
Was this kid even human?
He was a devil!
The people who had fled earlier hadn’t left completely. They had gathered in the parking lot, hiding in their cars and discussing the situation.
“Hmph, does being able to fight mean you can get away with anything? This world runs on power and money. Brother Hao is a force to be reckoned with in Linzhou. Jiang Tian’s in big trouble now!” Jiang Qiushui said sourly.
“But at least he had the guts to stand up and protect us in a crisis. That’s more than you can say for yourself!” Wu Fangfei shot back coldly, no longer siding with him.
In her mind, Jiang Qiushui’s image had completely crumbled.
She would never forget how he had stood by, doing nothing, while she was forced into a humiliating situation.
“Sometimes you have to endure for the greater good! Once Brother Hao deals with him, he’ll come after us!” Jiang Qiushui argued, his face red with embarrassment but still trying to justify himself.
However, he wasn’t entirely wrong.
Zhou Zhenghao was, after all, a top-tier figure in Linzhou, with connections and influence. He wasn’t the type to back down easily.
In the wrecked private room, after a brief moment of panic, Zhou Zhenghao regained his composure and said coldly, “Kid, who are you?”
“Oh, I’m just like them—a public relations guy,” Jiang Tian replied with a faint smile.
“A PR guy? Give me a break!”
Zhou Zhenghao, refusing to lose face, said arrogantly, “Now, kneel and apologize to me, and I’ll let you go!”
“Why should I apologize to you?”
Jiang Tian frowned. “Not to mention that Fatty Cheng harassed someone first, it was Jiang Qiushui and Hu Feng who started the fight. What does that have to do with the others? Even in the underworld, there are rules!”
“Oh, why should you?” Zhou Zhenghao sneered dismissively. “Because I’m stronger than you! This world isn’t just about who has the bigger fists. It’s about connections, power, and background. And in all those, you’re no match for me!”
“Is that so?” Jiang Tian smiled faintly.
Zhou Zhenghao grinned maliciously. “You think just because you can fight, you can do whatever you want? You’re so naive. No matter how strong you are, can you stop a bullet?”
“Are you threatening me?” Jiang Tian’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“No, no, no. I’m a law-abiding citizen. But today, you’ve committed assault. Believe me, one call from me, and you’ll be in jail. The cops might just shoot you dead!”
“Haha, Brother Hao, you really have some impressive connections,” Jiang Tian said, his tone turning cold.
This guy clearly had malicious intentions.
It seemed he had to eliminate this guy. The question was, when and how to do it.
As Jiang Tian pondered this, Zhou Zhenghao’s phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, his face lit up.
“Brother Wei, what brings you to call me? Any instructions?”
Even though the person wasn’t present, Zhou Zhenghao bowed and scraped, showing complete subservience.
“Wei, I need you to investigate someone for me,” a deep voice came through the phone.
“Who is it? Just tell me, and I’ll get you all the details!” Zhou Zhenghao said with a flattering smile.
“This is serious. I’ll tell you in person. Where are you?” the voice said sternly.
“I’m at the Imperial Club. Brother Wei, come quickly. Today, I’ve got a situation here…” Zhou Zhenghao’s face lit up with joy, eager to explain.
But the other person clearly had no interest in listening. He coldly interrupted, “Enough. I’m already on my way. I’ll be there in five minutes!”
Zhou Zhenghao hung up and immediately turned to Jiang Tian with a vicious grin. “Kid, just wait. My Brother Wei will be here in five minutes. He’s a real expert. Once he’s here, I’ll make sure you’re either dead or crippled. If I don’t, I’ll take your last name!”
“Sure! I’ll wait those five minutes and see who this ‘expert’ is,” Jiang Tian said with a dismissive shake of his head.
To truly eliminate evil, you had to crush it completely, making even its backers kneel in submission. Only then would Zhou Zhenghao be thoroughly cowed, without the courage to seek revenge.
With that, Jiang Tian picked up a toothpick, speared a piece of watermelon from the fruit platter, and began eating leisurely.
A few minutes later, heavy footsteps echoed from the entrance. A middle-aged man in a camouflage T-shirt strode in with the bearing of a tiger.
The man was powerfully built, with a sharp, intelligent face and piercing eyes. His imposing aura far surpassed that of Zhou Zhenghao and his lackeys.
“What’s going on here?” he asked, seeing the mess of bodies on the floor.
“Brother Wei, you’re finally here! I’ve been bullied so badly today!”
Zhou Zhenghao, seeing the newcomer, was overjoyed, as if he had found his savior. He hurried over, bowing and scraping, offering a cigarette.
Then, pointing at Jiang Tian, he said viciously, “Brother Wei, it’s this little punk who caused all this. Please, help me out today and take care of this kid!”
He had expected Brother Wei to side with him and crush Jiang Tian, this fool who dared to cross him.
But to his shock, when Brother Wei turned and saw Jiang Tian, his face changed. He quickly walked up to Jiang Tian, stood at attention, and saluted with the utmost respect.
“Master Jiang, I’m late. Are you alright?”
