My Amazing WeChat is Connected to the Three Realms - Chapter 67
“If you want it, just go take it. Your Brother Kun says it’s fine.” A cocky voice rang out.
Lin Hai turned to see a man with his nose in the air, arm slung around a scantily clad woman, standing behind him.
“Oh? Isn’t that the ‘Song King’ Lin Hai?” Surprisingly, the woman recognized him.
“Ah Mei, you know him? Don’t tell me you’ve got something going on with him?”
“Don’t talk nonsense, Brother Kun! He’s from our university—I’ve seen him on the forums.” Ah Mei clung to Zhao Kun’s arm, her voice dripping with sweetness.
“Oh? So he’s from Jiangnan University too? Even better.” Zhao Kun smirked.
“Is this dog yours?”
“Yeah, it’s mine,” Lin Hai replied.
“Ah Mei likes it. Name your price.” Zhao Kun tilted his chin up arrogantly.
“What she likes is none of my business!” Lin Hai couldn’t stand Zhao Kun’s condescending attitude and answered coldly.
“Oho, got some attitude, huh? Lin Hai, right? I’m Zhao Kun. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you should know who I am.”
“Zhao Kun? Supposed to be famous or something?” Lin Hai scoffed. “Never heard of you.”
Zhao Kun’s face darkened.
“Kid, don’t push your luck. Here’s 10,000 yuan—the dog’s mine now.” He tossed a wad of cash at Lin Hai.
“Tiger, go get the dog,” Zhao Kun ordered one of his lackeys.
“Yes, Young Master Zhao!” The man named Tiger stepped forward.
Lin Hai’s eyes turned icy as he prepared to intervene—but someone beat him to it.
Red Boss, the fiery leader of a girl gang, shoved Tiger back hard.
“The hell you think you’re doing? Just ’cause you’ve got money, you can force a sale? Over my dead body!”
“Sisters, protect this adorable dog!”
In an instant, a swarm of tough girls formed a barrier around Ah Hua.
“Damn,” Lin Hai blinked. “This mutt’s got some serious game with the ladies.”
“Hey! You gonna say something, or are you just gonna stand there like a coward?” Red Boss yelled at him.
Lin Hai rolled his eyes. “You didn’t even give me a chance to speak!”
Just as he was about to respond, Xiao Hua’s voice echoed in his mind.
Lin Hai froze, then stared at the dog in disbelief.
“Are you actually a dog? That’s one sneaky plan you’ve got.”
Xiao Hua snorted dismissively.
“Dad, stop measuring my intelligence by your standards. There’s a gap between us.”
“Little brat!” Lin Hai fumed. “This damn mutt keeps insulting my IQ. Just wait till this is over—I’ll teach you a lesson!”
“Fine, I’ll sell it to you,” Lin Hai announced.
Red Boss and her crew gaped at him.
“You spineless jerk! How can you call yourself a man?”
“Money-grubbing idiot! How could you sell such a sweet dog?”
“Ugh, go spend that blood money on your coffin!”
The girls unleashed a torrent of abuse.
“For crying out loud!” Lin Hai gritted his teeth. “Can’t you at least wait for the grand finale before judging?”
“Oh?” Zhao Kun sneered. “Told you—nobody says no to cash.”
“If I remember right, you’re one of the so-called ‘Four Young Masters’ at school, aren’t you?” Lin Hai grinned.
“Ha! See? Everyone at Jiangnan University knows me!” Zhao Kun looked even more smug.
“Since you’re a ‘Young Master,’ you must be loaded, right?”
“Your Brother Kun’s got everything but a lack of money.”
“Great. If you want this dog, it’s 5 million. Take it or leave it.” Lin Hai’s tone was calm.
“How much?! 5 million? Are you out of your mind?” Zhao Kun burst out laughing.
Lin Hai smirked and shook his head.
“Some ‘Young Master’—can’t even scrape together 5 million. Pathetic.”
“Screw you! 5 million’s nothing to me, but you think I’d waste it on a damn dog? You take me for an idiot?”
“Cut the crap. Either pay up or get lost. Stop embarrassing yourself.” Lin Hai waved him off like a pesky fly.
“Who says I can’t pay—”
“Then pay!”
“You think I’m stupid?”
“If you’re not, then pay!”
“Paying would make me stupid!”
“Too poor? Then scram!”
“I’m not poor!”
“Then prove it!”
“You think I’m stupid?”
“If you’re not, then—”
The circular argument dragged on endlessly until Zhao Kun finally snapped.
“Shut the hell up!” He was dizzy from the back-and-forth.
“Enough. 5 million—put up or shut up. If you can’t afford it, stop pretending. You’re a joke.”
“Calling yourself a ‘Young Master’? More like a clown. You’re nowhere near Hu Wei or Huang Shan’s league. Just a broke loser with a bloated ego.”
Lin Hai kept needling him, each word sharper than the last.
“You—you—!” Zhao Kun was seething.
“5 million. I’m calling your bluff. Either step up or get lost. Got it?”
Lin Hai stepped nose-to-nose with Zhao Kun, his voice dripping with challenge.
“Damn you! Fine, 5 million it is! Tiger, transfer the money—then beat that damn mutt to death right here!” Zhao Kun roared.
“My account number is… Oh, and are you sure you’ve got 5 million? I have my doubts.” Lin Hai sighed theatrically.
“Quit looking down on people! Transfer it now—let’s see him eat his words!”
Minutes later, Lin Hai’s phone buzzed with a notification: +5,000,000 yuan.
He grinned inwardly.
“Hell yeah. Easiest money ever. If I ran into two morons like this every day, I’d be the world’s richest man in no time.”
“Wow, the money’s here. Didn’t think Young Master Zhao had it in him. Alright, the dog’s yours.” Lin Hai’s tone was mocking.
“Screw you! Now that I’ve paid, this mutt’s mine. Beat it to death!”
“Young Master Zhao, this dog cost you 5 million. You sure you wanna kill it?” Lin Hai feigned concern.
“So what? I’m rich—I do what I want!”
“Suit yourself. Have fun—I’m outta here.” Lin Hai grabbed Liu Xinqing’s arm and drove off.
“Hey! You’re just leaving Ah Hua?!” Liu Xinqing panicked, tugging his arm. “Stop the car! Give the money back!”
“Relax,” Lin Hai said, barely suppressing a laugh.
“How can I relax? They’ll kill Ah Hua!”
“Kill him?” Lin Hai smirked.
“Right now, you should be praying Zhao Kun doesn’t get played to death by that dog.”
