I Swapped Bodies With a Female Celebrity - Chapter 18
She felt her eyes were no longer pure!
She had seen something utterly blinding.
“Perhaps… this is the trial I must endure as a man now,” she sighed softly.
Qin Yunxuan wiped the sweat from her brow, remembering that this rented apartment had its own private bathroom.
“I should take a shower.”
Suddenly, she froze mid-step, her eyes lighting up.
“Wait… I’m Qin Lang now. So if I wash myself… that’s totally fine, right? Yeah, no problem at all. I’m definitely not doing this out of curiosity…”
Moments later, murmurs drifted from the bathroom.
“So this is a man’s body?”
“It’s… really strange!”
“Why is this part changing? How bizarre!”
…
Meanwhile, in a parallel world, Qin Lang shuddered.
He couldn’t shake the eerie feeling that someone was watching him.
“Must just be nerves,” he muttered, shaking off the unease as he waited for his so-called “bestie,” Mu Zhiyan.
Truthfully, Qin Lang had zero interest in meeting this Mu Zhiyan—whether she was a beauty or a beast. Every new person he met was another risk of exposure.
Walking this tightrope of deception, he felt like he was dancing on the edge of a cliff. One misstep, and he’d plunge into disaster.
“Xuanxuan!”
Just as Qin Lang’s anxiety peaked, the door swung open—revealing a girl whose appearance made him suck in a sharp breath.
Who was this sallow-faced, raccoon-eyed mess with a bird’s nest for hair?!
This was Mu Zhiyan?
What a waste of such a pretty name!
After days of being surrounded by his glamorous agent and adorable fangirls, this eyesore of a girl left Qin Lang speechless.
Yet the “eyesore” lit up at the sight of him, rushing forward before he could react—and hugging him tightly.
Qin Lang’s face went blank.
She just… assaulted me?!
To his horror, Mu Zhiyan then planted two loud kisses on his cheeks.
They say birds of a feather flock together. Qin Yunxuan’s a stunner—how is this her best friend?!
Unless…
Was Qin Yunxuan one of those girls who keeps ugly friends to look better by comparison?
“So she’s a schemer too?” Qin Lang thought grimly.
Pulling back, Mu Zhiyan grinned. “Xuanxuan, you looked so shocked! Didn’t recognize me, did you?”
Qin Lang nodded numbly.
“That means my makeup skills are god-tier now!” she bragged. “Don’t worry—once I give you the same look, no one will ever recognize you!”
Qin Lang’s eye twitched. Wait, this is makeup?
But the idea of being turned into that made his soul recoil.
After finally getting this gorgeous face, I’m supposed to ugly myself on purpose? What a waste!
“So this is a boys’ dorm…” Qin Yunxuan paced outside the building, wrestling with herself.
No matter how curious she was, she couldn’t shake the guilt. That little voice in her head insisted: Step inside, and your innocence is gone forever.
“But I am Qin Lang now!” Gritting her teeth, she squeezed her eyes shut and charged in.
Room 511, fifth floor. Her heart pounded as she climbed the stairs, relieved when nothing outrageous happened—until a half-naked guy in bright red boxers rounded the corner, swinging a washbasin.
“AAAAAH!” Her shriek pierced the entire floor.
The guy jolted, dropping his basin with a clatter. “The hell—?!”
Doors flew open as guys stuck their heads out.
“Yo, earthquake?!”
“Who’s dying?!”
But by then, Qin Yunxuan had already bolted into Qin Lang’s room, slamming the door behind her. Face burning, she trembled.
“So embarrassing… SO EMBARRASSING!”
“Qin Lang, back already?” Zhou Lin barged in—followed by two other shirtless roommates. “Wanna hit the showers? Hot water’s running out fast.”
Qin Yunxuan’s eyes snapped shut. “Why aren’t you wearing clothes?!”
The trio exchanged glances. “Who showers in clothes? Dude, we’re all guys here.”
All guys? Since when is this normal?!
This… this is a nightmare.
Her decision to rent her own place felt wiser by the second. Living here would’ve driven her insane.
“I’m just grabbing my stuff,” she said stiffly. “I’ll be staying out for the Invention Cup prep.”
Chen Quan moved to clap her shoulder. “Then we’re counting on you—”
“Stop!” She leaped back. “No touching. I’ve, uh… developed a cleanliness thing.”
As soon as she fled, the roommates frowned.
“Since when does Qin Lang have ‘cleanliness issues’?”
“Bull. He stole my half-eaten drumstick last week.”
“Bet it’s ‘cause he’s got a girlfriend now. Too good for us single losers.”
“Typical. No more gaming or movie nights for him.”
“Damn right.”
…
Back in her rented room, Qin Yunxuan slumped against the door, exhaling.
“Being a man… is hard. And boys’ dorms? Terrifying.“
Every time she recalled what she’d seen, she wanted to curl up and vanish.
