I Swapped Bodies With a Female Celebrity - Chapter 12
“Thank you all for attending Xuanxuan’s first fan meeting!” The host stepped onto the stage with a warm smile. “Xuanxuan has always wanted an opportunity to thank everyone for your unwavering support and encouragement. Now, with her new song release, she’s specially arranged this gathering to greet you all in person!”
As Qin Lang walked to the center stage, the venue erupted with cheers—overwhelmingly from female fans.
This feeling… isn’t half bad, he thought.
“Xuanxuan, we love you!”
“Xuanxuan, you’re the best!”
“We’ll always stand by you!”
Before Qin Lang could even speak into the microphone, the crowd was already in a frenzy. It was clear—these were die-hard Qin Yunxuan fans. Their loyalty had been proven long ago, back when Yunxuan was still dismissed as just a “pretty face” with no talent.
“Thank you all so much for your support and love,” he began, voice steady. “I’m aware of my past shortcomings, but I promise—from now on, I’ll prove through my work that your faith in me was never misplaced.”
Deafening applause followed.
The fan meeting proceeded smoothly under the host’s direction: Q&A sessions, Qin Lang’s live performance, gift giveaways… Everything went off without a hitch.
Well, almost everything.
The one thing that made Qin Lang internally groan?
The company had mass-produced dolls modeled after Qin Yunxuan’s likeness as fan gifts. Could they be any cheaper?!
But watching fans clutch the dolls with starry-eyed joy, he reluctantly let it slide.
“Now, for our final segment!” the host announced. “We’ll select three lucky fans—Xuanxuan will fulfill a small wish for each!”
The crowd buzzed with excitement.
Three lucky fans? Personal wishes granted?! This was beyond their wildest expectations.
“Please let it be me!”
“Heavens, I need this!”
“I’d kill to get closer to Xuanxuan!”
A staff member wheeled out an opaque ballot box.
“Upon entry, each of you received a numbered ticket. Inside this box are the corresponding stubs. Now, let’s have Xuanxuan draw the winners herself!”
Amid cheers, Qin Lang reached into the box—and froze.
The “box” contained exactly three stubs.
This was rigged from the start.
Seriously?! He fought the urge to roll his eyes. They’re straight-up scamming these fans.
But exposing the setup now would backfire spectacularly. Forcing a smile, he mimed a prolonged search before “randomly” pulling the predetermined stubs.
“Our first lucky fan is… Zhao Xiaoya!”
A ponytailed girl shrieked, “It’s me! I can’t believe it!”
As Xiaoya bounded onstage, she trembled with excitement. “Xuanxuan, I—I just want a photo with you! Is that okay?”
Qin Lang almost laughed. That’s your ‘wish’?
“Of course!” He grinned.
“I’ll take it!” Manager Lin lifted a camera.
Xiaoya clung to Qin Lang’s arm, flashing a peace sign.
“Whoa—this kid’s way more developed than she looks,” Qin Lang noted, then immediately scolded himself. Focus! He beamed for the camera.
Click. The photo captured two radiant smiles.
“This is the best day ever!” Xiaoya gasped, clutching the print like a holy relic. Envious whispers rippled through the crowd.
Second Winner: Chen Jiajia (The Blushing Dare)
The second winner, a shy short-haired girl, hesitated. “Can I… ask for something slightly bold?”
Qin Lang’s smile faltered. “How bold are we talking?”
“I—I want to pinch your cheek!” Jiajia blushed furiously. “If that’s too much, I’ll—”
“That’s it?” He chuckled. “But I get to pinch yours too!”
The crowd aww’d as they exchanged gentle cheek squeezes.
“So soft! Like mochi!” Jiajia marveled.
Click. Manager Lin snapped another photo. “This was too precious not to capture.”
Offstage, Jiajia was mobbed:
“You actually touched Xuanxuan’s face?!”
“How did it feel? Was it angelic?”
“And she pinched you back—did your soul leave your body?!”
Jiajia touched her tingling cheek, heart racing.
Why did my heartbeat go crazy when she touched me?
“Is this… what love feels like?” She shook her head, dazed.
Third Winner: Zhao Yunfeng (The Shameless Wingman)
Qin Lang unfolded the final stub—and instantly understood Manager Lin’s rigging.
Zhao Yunfeng.
The only son of Jiuyang TV’s chairman.
Ah. So that’s the play.
“Yunfeng, our last lucky fan!” Qin Lang waved. “What’s your wish?”
The boy grinned. “Xuanxuan-jiejie, will you date my older brother?”
Qin Lang: “…???”
Crowd: “……!!!”
This kid had audacity.
Who brings their sibling’s love life to a fan meeting?!
Truly, Qin Lang mused, the nation’s best little brother.
