Honkai: Oh No, I’ve Become the Herrscher of Corruption?! - Chapter 6
February 3, 2000
“How… could this happen?”
Theresa’s hands trembled as she stared at Patricia’s lifeless body. Just yesterday, they had been on a mission together. Now, they were worlds apart.
“Lady Theresa, the intelligence unit has begun investigating the area, but there are no leads yet. Reinforcements from HQ are on their way. Please hold on a little longer.”
Theresa barely registered the words. Her gaze remained fixed on Patricia’s wounds, her heart refusing to settle.
Then—chaos erupted.
“Lady Theresa! Emergency! A horde of Honkai beasts has appeared in the snowfield—over 500 of them! The tower’s defenses won’t hold!”
Grief would have to wait.
“Stay calm. I’ll handle—”
A familiar, boisterous voice crackled through the comms.
“No need, Theresa. Stay put and coordinate. We’ll take care of these pests.”
On the snowfield outside Babylon Tower, Siegfried Kaslana stood before the swarm, twin pistols raised without hesitation. At his side were two A-rank Valkyries—Salome Jokanaan and Shub-Niggurath.
“Weaklings. Even in numbers, you’re still trash!”
The crimson-haired, green-eyed Shub charged ahead, her scythe Whisper of Blood carving through two Chariot-class beasts in a single swing. Under Theresa’s command, the trio tore through the horde with brutal efficiency.
Not far from the battlefield, a certain lobster-haired scientist sighed.
“Schicksal’s fools… completely distracted. Meanwhile, she must be absorbing the tower’s Honkai energy undisturbed.”
Inside Babylon Tower
“Hahaha! I can feel it—power, flooding into me☆!”
Sirin danced with glee as she greedily devoured the Honkai radiation. Watching her, Enoxia felt a swell of pride—few Herrschers understood how to gradually harness their power like this.
“Aren’t you going to absorb any?” Sirin glanced at Enoxia, who stood motionless beside her.
“I can’t. If I take in large amounts, Schicksal will detect dual Herrscher signatures. My time hasn’t come yet.” She paused. “What’s wrong?”
Sirin froze, then pointed. “Something’s… calling me. Over there.”
Without hesitation, she tore open a spatial rift and stepped through. Enoxia followed.
17 Kilometers Outside Babylon Tower
“Hah… hah…” Sirin collapsed to her knees, gasping. Long-distance teleportation had drained her completely.
Before them loomed a massive, azure-glowing egg.
“So this is what resonated with you.” Enoxia recognized it instantly—the catalyst that had transformed Sirin into the true Herrscher of the Void in the original timeline. But in this world, where the Will of the Honkai might not even exist… would it still work?
As Sirin stepped inside, Enoxia followed—and was met with a heart-wrenching scene.
A younger Sirin stood beside a hospital bed, screaming as her mother slipped away. Then came Schicksal’s “adoption.”
“Just a small favor,” a researcher said, smiling as he injected Honkai energy into her arm.
Agony erupted.
“Agh—! It hurts! IT HURTS!!”
Sirin writhed on the floor, her body convulsing as every cell screamed in torment. The researcher merely sighed.
“Tch. Another failure.” He walked away without a backward glance.
“Hurts…”
“Hurts…”
“Hurts…”
Her cries faded from rage to broken whimpers.
“Those bastards… They all deserve to die!!”
Enoxia’s fists clenched. After witnessing this, she could never sympathize with Schicksal. If they were destroyed, it would be by their own doing.
The memory shifted—to a snowfield. A grieving Sirin stood before three makeshift graves, whispering farewells to the only friends she’d ever known.
“Bella, Avrora, Agata… rest well.”
A researcher yanked her away.
“Enough with the garbage disposal! Get back to the lab—we’re wasting time!”
As she was dragged off, Sirin’s tears froze before they could fall. So did her heart.
Revenge became her sole purpose.
Then—drip.
A single drop of water echoed through the void. The space twisted—and when it settled, Sirin had changed.
Her pupils now bore an X-shaped pattern. A flowing white and purple gown adorned her frame, its hem embroidered with gold. Barefoot, with violet bandages winding up her legs and a feathered ornament in her hair—the Herrscher of the Void had fully awakened.
“I’ll make them pay! Every last one of them☆!”
Rage burned in her eyes, but Enoxia only saw the broken child beneath. She pulled Sirin into an embrace.
“Don’t lose yourself to hatred.”
“…Are you trying to stop me?”
“Never.” Enoxia shook her head. “You have every right to seek vengeance. But it shouldn’t be all you live for. Now that you have power… you can choose what you want.”
“What I want…?”
A minuscule Honkai beast interrupted, buzzing a warning—powerful enemies were approaching fast.
Enoxia knew: Theresa must have used Judah’s Pursuit Mode to track them. Without the Will of the Honkai interfering, Sirin’s awakening had been quicker than expected.
“Tch. I’ll deal with these nuisances first.” Sirin gently pushed Enoxia away and vanished into the void.
Alone, Enoxia exhaled.
“To help Sirin… to end the Second Honkai War sooner… I need to act.”
With that, she dissolved into the digital stream—heading straight for Schicksal’s core database.
