Honkai: Oh No, I’ve Become the Herrscher of Corruption?! - Chapter 58
In December 2000, the Elysian Realm welcomed two special visitors.
“I’ll just play for a bit—half an hour. No, maybe just 10 minutes, and I’ll come right out,” Sirin said through gritted teeth, her tone resolute.
10 minutes later…
“Well… maybe another 10 minutes.”
Another 10 minutes passed…
“Hmm… just 10 more minutes.”
Half an hour later…
“Sirin… Sirin! You are the mighty Herrscher of the Void! How can you lose yourself in a data space created by others? Get a grip!”
Five more minutes later…
“Ah, forget it. Might as well enjoy myself first.”
Without a doubt, if the Elysian Realm weren’t a trial of inheritance or a place to seek answers, but simply a large-scale immersive game, it would still be second to none in the world. Sirin, who had only just entered, was already hooked like a girl addicted to the internet.
Though she couldn’t simply toss monsters into a data space here, the beginner trials were far too easy for a Herrscher and a Judgement-class Honkai Beast.
After completing the trials, Sirin and Bella met the languidly smiling Elysia.
“Hi~ First time meeting? I’m Elysia, a beautiful girl who lives up to her name~?”
Seeing someone who looked identical to Enoxia, Sirin couldn’t help but stare a little longer.
“Same face, same everything… but why does Elysia seem… prettier than Enoxia somehow?”
Noticing Sirin’s silent gaze, Elysia immediately guessed her thoughts and flashed a mischievous smile.
“Hmm? What’s wrong? Mesmerized by my adorable appearance? I knew it—cute girls always have good taste~?”
With a sly grin, Elysia stepped forward, first hooking a finger under Sirin’s chin, then gently stroking her cheek.
“Mmm… smooth, delicate skin. Nice texture.”
Sirin had never experienced anything like this. In less than a minute, her face turned as red as an apple.
“My Queen…!” Bella took a step forward, but Elysia’s other hand pressed down on her head. No matter how hard she struggled, she couldn’t move an inch further.
“Oh dear, did I neglect you and make you sad~? Aww… your hair is so soft, like a plushie~”
After a few seconds of resistance, the two realized something—Elysia’s touch was oddly soothing, and escaping her “devilish grasp” seemed impossible. So they gave in.
Watching the live broadcast from afar, Enoxia couldn’t help but give a thumbs-up.
“As expected of you.”
A few minutes later, Elysia looked at the flustered pair with satisfaction.
“You cleared the beginner trials perfectly without my guidance. Good job~ Now, do you want to explore separately or go together?”
Sirin and Bella exchanged a glance—their answer was obvious.
“My, what a special bond you two have. Then go ahead together~ Some of the Flame-Chasers are already eager to meet you.”
Seeing Sirin and Bella teleported to the same location via the hall’s anchor point, Enoxia, who quickly followed, fell into thought:
“So you can explore the Elysian Realm as a duo… I wonder how it’d be if Honkai Impact 3rd added a co-op mode—two or three people fighting through 18 floors, with enemies tougher than usual.”
Just imagining it made Enoxia crack up. If that were real, it’d be like watching a grand documentary: “Me and My Clueless Teammates.” Random matchmaking would bring legendary performances, including but not limited to:
- Ignoring all advice and stubbornly picking 10% win-rate character no matter what.
- Randomly choosing supports and Signets, executing flashy moves with 250 damage output, and reaching Floor 17 without a single core Signet.
- Soloing a boss meant for two players, nearly killing it, only for your teammate to swoop in with an ult for the last hit—then asking why you’re still there.
In short, unless your relationship was as solid as Sirin and Bella’s, you’d never know what kind of teammates Honkai co-op would throw at you.
“Sirin in the Elysian Realm… Should she start with [Resplendence] or [Stellar Void] Signets? Wait, no—she’s not the Scissors Sirin. If anything, she’d be closer to the Herrscher of the Void.”
As Sirin and Bella ventured deeper, they arrived before a magnificent palace. Leaning against a tree outside was a woman holding an exquisite wine glass.
Though Sirin had little exposure to high society, the woman’s simple yet luxurious attire and poised demeanor made it clear—she came from wealth and refinement.
“Ah, greetings, travelers.”
“H-Hello… I’m Sirin. This is Bella.” Even Sirin couldn’t help but speak more politely under her dignified presence.
“A pleasure, Miss Sirin, Miss Bella. I am Eden, the fourth Flame-Chaser, known as [Gold].”
“Gold?”
“Indeed. That’s what Elysia calls me. You must have met her already. I suppose it refers to the wealth I possess. Though I’ve lived in palaces with a thousand windows and tasted the rarest of wines and delicacies… I would not describe myself so grandly. I am merely a singer on stage, a fleeting star shining for the audience.”
Sirin turned to Bella and whispered, “Hey, Bella… do you know what ‘fine wine coal bricks’ are?”
Just as clueless, Bella shook her head in confusion.
“So… high society turns coal bricks into food? Wow, you learn something new every day.”
Eden politely pretended not to hear. Once Sirin turned back, she continued.
“Whether it’s boundless riches or the title of [Gold], they are but gifts bestowed upon me by others.”
Sirin and Bella nodded, only half-understanding.
“Please accept the Signet of [Gold] and continue onward. May your journey be smooth and unhindered.”
Sirin scratched her head. “Smooth and… fishless? But there’s no river or fish around here.”
The moment Eden’s Signet took effect, Sirin’s eyes lit up with excitement.
“Oho! I feel power surging endlessly… If I’d had this during the fight with the Herrscher of Ice, Mom wouldn’t have been in danger!”
After bidding Eden farewell, Sirin strode forward triumphantly. They encountered no other Flame-Chasers until reaching the final challenge—two anchor points awaited them, offering a choice: one-on-one or two-on-one.
“Bella, what did you think of the monsters we faced so far?”
“They were easy. No need for Your Majesty to lift a finger—I could handle them alone.”
“Exactly! That just proves how weak these so-called ‘Flame-Chasers’ are. Mom is the strongest Valkyrie in all of Schicksal, and even she’d struggle against you without a Divine Key. Humans, MANTISes—they’re just humans with Honkai Beast genes. No matter how strong they are, can they really compare to me, the Herrscher of Void, empowered by [Gold]? ☆ Let’s not let Elysia look down on us! One-on-one—let these ancient humans witness the might of a modern-era Herrscher and a Judgement-class Honkai Beast!”
Bella hesitated. “My Queen… in a one-on-one… can I really win?”
“Guaranteed victory, Bella. Don’t doubt yourself.”
In the end, Bella obeyed. The two each touched a different anchor.
Sirin, like Cecilia before her, was transported to a mountain valley arena. Standing before her was a towering man.
“Hahaha… HAHAHAHA! A Herrscher! My fury has missed its mark too often. COME! Give me everything you’ve got—prove you’re worth killing!”
