Honkai: Oh No, I’ve Become the Herrscher of Corruption?! - Chapter 129
In March 2012, in a villa on the outskirts of Nagazora City, Enoxia watched as everyone changed into their uniforms.
Compared to the high school division’s uniforms, the middle school division’s only had two additional, largely inconsequential decorative stripes—otherwise, there was no difference.
“Hmm… Sirin looks perfectly natural in her uniform, just like a proper middle schooler… And Bella and Ivan are both so pure and adorable too, aren’t they?”
Noticing Ivan staring intently at her, Enoxia gave her a questioning look.
“Well, with Elysia not around, the prettiest one here is definitely you, Sister Enoxia.”
“Of course. This face was modeled after the cutest, most beautiful girl in the world—of course it’d be the second prettiest after hers.”
Just then, the sound of the door opening echoed through the room as Cecilia entered, supporting Alexandra. Ivan immediately rushed forward.
“Mom, are you okay?”
Alexandra waved her hand dismissively.
“I’m fine… It’s just that after spending so long in the other world, suddenly being back on solid ground feels a little strange.”
A few days earlier, World Serpent had informed Enoxia that their Honkai-reinforced bodies were ready for use. Without delay, Enoxia had transferred their consciousnesses into the new vessels. Cecilia, with her strong adaptability, had adjusted within hours—but Alexandra, being an ordinary human, still felt out of place even days later.
“Honkai-reinforced bodies might be priceless to normal people, but for the three major organizations, they’re not hard to come by. Otto alone has at least a thousand of them—it’s how he’s managed to live for over 500 years by constantly transferring his consciousness.”
“As for the cost of getting these two bodies? All I had to do was lend Jizo Mitama to Dr. Mobius for a few months. Not to mention, we’re practically family anyway, so let’s skip the sappy talk, alright?”
Before Alexandra could even voice her gratitude, Enoxia raised her hands in a playful, exaggerated surrender—a mock French military salute.
Cecilia helped Alexandra sit down, then turned to Sirin.
“Get some rest early. You don’t want to be late on your first day of school.”
Sleep was meaningless to a Herrscher, but Cecilia still treated Sirin like any other child.
Sirin didn’t respond with words, instead giving Cecilia a meaningful look.
“Don’t worry. I’ll still stay with you tonight.”
April 2012. As cherry blossoms bloomed, a new semester began at Senba Academy.
With arrival time set for 8 a.m., the four of them took their time finishing breakfast by 7:50. Using coordinates provided by Enoxia, Sirin teleported them directly to a house less than a hundred meters from the school—another property Enoxia had acquired. However, its heavy Far Eastern style made it uncomfortable for them to live in, so they repurposed it as a teleportation point.
Upon entering Senba Academy, the four of them—clearly not of Far Eastern descent, and each strikingly beautiful—immediately drew stares. Whispers and murmurs followed them wherever they went. Bold boys approached, asking for their contact info, only to be smoothly turned away by Enoxia’s quick excuses.
In stark contrast, Kiana, though just as pretty, had never received formal education and had no idea how to interact with others. Despite her enthusiastic, almost aggressively social nature, people kept their distance. By the end of her first day, many had already mentally labeled her as a delinquent.
The first day of the semester had only two tasks: familiarizing themselves with the campus and taking placement exams.
As the bell rang, the noisy classroom fell silent. Looking at the math problems on the test paper, Enoxia, Sirin, and Bella all yawned in unison.
Sigh. With Sirin and Bella like this, their grades probably won’t be great… Well, at least they can sit with Kiana.
Unlike Sirin and the others, who were racking their brains, Enoxia left the task of solving problems entirely to her clones—who were directly connected to the internet. Even without a phone, she had a built-in search engine and super AI during exams. All she had to do was copy the standard answers.
The subject was math. Though the test was supposed to take 100 minutes, Enoxia finished copying the answers in just over half an hour. Then, under the stunned gazes of the entire class, she was the first to turn in her paper.
The moment she stepped out of the classroom, Ivan stood up from her seat and submitted hers as well—the second to finish.
The two met by a flower bed near the school. The campus was eerily quiet, the vast garden empty except for them.
“You’re amazing. You finished just as fast as I did, even though I was just copying answers.”
Ivan shrugged.
“If you’d focused a little more, you could’ve shaved off at least five minutes. Besides, with math, shouldn’t the answer just come to you the moment you look at the problem?”
Enoxia blinked, then pulled her close.
“Ivan, sweetheart, say that kind of thing only to me, okay? Promise me you won’t let anyone else hear it. Otherwise, even as a Stigma Awakener… you’ll face a world of trouble.”
“But… math really is simple.” Ivan didn’t understand, but she took Enoxia’s words to heart.
Meanwhile, Sirin stared blankly at the questions before her. A full half-hour had passed, and she hadn’t just failed to calculate the correct answers—she didn’t even know where to begin.
Watching Enoxia and Ivan turn in their tests only made her more frustrated. She tugged at a lock of her hair, racking her brain for a solution.
In the end, the Herrscher of the Void was utterly defeated by a math problem. Sirin came to a realization: life might deceive you, but math never would—because if you didn’t know it, you just didn’t know it.
Soon, time was up. Sirin turned in her paper, large sections left blank, her expression grim. Seeing this, Bella hurried after her.
“My Queen!”
The moment the words left her mouth, Bella realized her mistake. Eyes turned toward them—but only for a moment before looking away.
Fortunately, Senba Academy was an elite institution. It wasn’t unusual for young ladies to attend with their attendants in tow. At most, people assumed they were just a mistress and servant with… particular roleplay preferences. No one gave it much thought.
Seeing no issue with the title, Bella decided not to change it. For her, being forced to call Sirin by name would be worse than death.
Outside the classroom, students buzzed about the exam. Sirin, caught in the atmosphere, began discussing it with Bella.
“That test just now… The first big problem was the hardest. I couldn’t even figure out where to start, so I skipped to the second one… The rest weren’t as bad… My Queen?”
Sirin, who had stubbornly fixated on the first problem and run out of time for the others, felt her soul leave her body at Bella’s words. Leaning on Bella for support, she barely made it out of the school.
