Special Agent’s Rebirth: The Almighty Goddess of Quick Transmigration - Chapter 196
Ye Shaohua’s aircraft arrived at the transit station, where her cousin Lü Rang was waiting.
Unexpectedly, they ran into Prince Allen, who seemed to be transferring to another destination.
Lü Rang knew that Ye Shaohua and Allen had grown up together and shared a close relationship.
Seeing him, Lü Rang paused and greeted politely, “Prince Allen.”
Having already learned from Lü Xiang about An Tingyun’s decision to divorce Ye Shaohua, he wasn’t pleased—but he held his tongue. Still, he harbored no hostility toward Allen, who had always treated Ye Shaohua well.
Prince Allen spotted Ye Shaohua immediately, his smile polite yet distant. “Crown Prince, Miss Ye. I have matters to attend to, so I’ll take my leave.”
He didn’t engage in further conversation.
Lü Rang was taken aback. Allen and Ye Shaohua had always been on first-name terms—this was the first time he’d been so formal.
As Ye Shaohua boarded the transfer aircraft, she noticed Lü Rang still standing there in confusion. She shook her head. “Cousin, Ye Junwen’s arrival on Ink Planet was entirely orchestrated by Prince Allen.”
The revelation instantly ignited Lü Rang’s fury. Had Ye Shaohua not stopped him, he would’ve charged after Allen right then.
Allen, in his haste, was heading to a temporary base on Ink Planet to intercept Andrew.
Andrew was a key asset in his plans.
As a prince of Gamma Planet, Allen understood the monumental impact a top-three historical genius could have—which was why he’d been relentlessly trying to recruit Andrew.
This time, he’d even prepared a victory banquet for him.
He was certain Andrew had taken first place in the MA.
A top-three genius in mecha architecture wasn’t to be trifled with. If someone like Andrew couldn’t even win the MA, then Gamma Planet’s reputation for intellect would be a joke.
So, he hadn’t bothered tracking the MA results.
Ye Junwen and Andrew were his chosen duo—one bold, the other brilliant. Together, they would be an unstoppable force.
“Andrew still hasn’t arrived?” Allen grew impatient, an uneasy feeling creeping in.
Meanwhile, Ye Junwen had just obtained her fourth-tier mecha and strode out of the Lyman family’s headquarters in high spirits.
Her communicator buzzed incessantly with congratulatory messages. Youthful arrogance got the better of her, and for once, she didn’t bother hiding her ties to Allen.
“Perhaps Mr. Andrew is still waiting for the results?” Ye Junwen glanced at Allen’s aide. “Contact him and see what’s taking so long.”
“The young master doesn’t need to wait—he’s obviously first place!” The aide nodded and stepped out to call Andrew. Moments later, he returned. “Your Highness, Young Master Andrew stayed at the institute. He’s apparently researching some dimensional space theory…”
Eleven-dimensional space was classified as top-secret on Gamma Planet.
Allen knew their mecha architects were on the verge of a breakthrough. If Andrew had skipped the banquet to work at the institute, he must’ve made significant progress.
“Let’s go to him.” Allen stood, then remembered something and turned to Ye Junwen. “Junwen, you’ve just acquired a fourth-tier mecha. Avoid dangerous zones. The Zerg have likely placed you in their top-five bounty list. You’re not yet proficient with your new mecha—it’d be easy for them to capture you.”
Ye Junwen was well aware of her newfound status. The star network was probably exploding with news about her.
Ye En had been incessantly contacting her to return to the Ye family.
Nodding, she replied, “I know. But first, I need to make a stop at the Ye residence.”
Allen understood her intentions and didn’t object. He simply escorted her in his aircraft before departing.
This time, Ye Junwen would make Ye Shaohua and Lü Xiang look up to her in awe. She’d bided her time for this moment—she wouldn’t pass up the chance to humiliate them.
The aide, familiar with her history, remarked wistfully, “Miss Junwen, just imagine the Ye and Lü families’ faces when they see you now. Who’d have thought an illegitimate child cast aside would surpass them all? Ink Planet is about to witness history.”
Only days ago, Ye Shaohua had publicly scorned Ye Junwen at the Ye estate.
How the tables had turned.
The aide shook his head, marveling at life’s unpredictability.
Allen, however, had lost interest. With no further use for Ye Shaohua, he saw no point in lingering at the Ye residence.
Just then, his communicator lit up with a holographic transmission from a Gamma Planet minister.
“Your Highness, there’s something you must see.” The minister bowed deeply, his expression grave.
Allen frowned. “What is it?”
The minister straightened and, without a word, swiped a hand through the air. A translucent screen materialized.
“Our intelligence unit just intercepted a Zerg report. Three minutes ago, a new name topped their bounty list.” As he spoke, the data unfurled.
The Zerg bounty list was a measure of a target’s perceived threat and potential. Allen knew An Tingyun had long held the top spot, while he himself ranked sixth. Now, someone had surpassed them all.
Allen’s first thought: “Junwen?” But that couldn’t be. Though he admired her ruthlessness, her talent was no match for An Tingyun’s.
The minister shook his head silently and tapped the screen. The updated rankings appeared:
ZERG BOUNTY LIST
-
Ye Shaohua (Ultimate Red)
-
An Tingyun
-
Andrew (Red)
…
Allen’s gaze locked onto the first line. His pupils constricted violently.
