Skills with no cooldown? I become the Undead Scourge! - Chapter 61
Right now.
In Eagle Nation.
The leaders of all the major guilds had gathered, even including several leaders from Congress.
They had originally gathered here to watch the spectacle.
The situation had developed to the point where Dragon Xia seemed completely helpless against Eagle Nation’s provocations, utterly suppressed unilaterally.
The sense of accomplishment from this was, of course, beyond words.
But they hadn’t been watching for long before it was over!
No, it wasn’t over; instead, they were the ones who had been insulted!
“We must respond immediately. We cannot let this slide. The whole world is watching the deathmatch arena right now!” one leader said angrily.
Everyone looked at each other.
Thinking, now you realize the whole world is watching?
“I don’t understand how Land died.”
“The skill combination of a Necromancer, plus all the summons prepared during those three minutes… he shouldn’t have lost.”
“And we even outfitted him with a full set of Black Dragon equipment. Now it’s all gone!”
“Don’t panic. It’s gone, so be it. We can continue fighting. Running the Black Dragon instance is much easier now than before; we’re the only ones in the world who can do it.”
“Right. Anyway, the Black Dragon equipment would disappear with Land’s corpse. Dragon Xia won’t get any of it.”
“That’s not what we’re discussing now! We’re discussing how to deal with this Necromancer!”
…
At this point, everyone immediately fell silent again.
“Underestimation,” a man with long silver hair sitting to the leader’s right said calmly.
Unlike the others, his face held a look of disdain, as if he didn’t really care.
He was Neil, the guild master of Storm, Eagle Nation’s top guild!
He was ranked just below Yu Cangqiong on the global level leaderboard.
He was essentially Eagle Nation’s version of Yu Cangqiong.
Everyone turned to look at Neil.
“If it really is that mysterious Necromancer, his level doesn’t exceed 53. We don’t know the exact difference, but it was enough for Land to underestimate him. I know Land. With level suppression, gear suppression, and class suppression, it’s normal for Land to get careless,” Neil said.
That was the most likely reason Land had capsized in a drainage ditch.
“So, we accept the challenge?” someone asked.
“Of course,” Neil said without hesitation. “And we must accept immediately, kill that Necromancer, end this farce, and cement Eagle Nation’s absolute dominance!”
Hegemonic thinking!
“But who should we send?” someone else continued.
“Baron, you go,” Neil called out casually.
From among the Storm guild members standing behind him, a muscular, burly man immediately stepped forward.
He looked mostly normal, but there were several bestial markings on his face, covered with grey fur, resembling sideburns or a beard.
“A mere Necromancer. I’ll go kill him right now!” Baron snarled with a grim smile.
As he spoke, two clearly exaggerated canine teeth—or rather, fangs—were visible in his mouth!
Baron was also a name on the global level leaderboard.
Level 57, Hidden Class: Bloodthirsty Werewolf.
“Baron has the Bloodthirsty skill, which greatly increases his movement speed and attack power in a short period of time. The skill also causes tearing damage. It is very easy for him to deal with a magic profession. He can ignore all the opponent’s summons.” Neil said to everyone.
Moreover,
That Necromancer most likely hasn’t even reached level 53 yet, so he can’t summon the Abyssal Bone Dragon!
And even if he could summon the Abyssal Bone Dragon, an assassin-type Werewolf like Baron can close the distance lightning-fast and slaughter the Necromancer!
This is the inherent weakness of magic classes fighting alone; they themselves are far too fragile.
“Go on, Baron. We await good news,” Neil said offhandedly.
After Baron left.
Neil said with some regret, “What a pity. Dying in the deathmatch arena means equipment and inventory disappear too. We won’t be able to get the Necromancer’s Crystal Skull of Hades. A shame, a real shame…”
Not long after.
A brief profile suddenly appeared on the deathmatch room’s information screen.
Name: Baron; Level: 57; Class: Bloodthirsty Werewolf; Guild: Storm; Country: Eagle Nation!
This was the final foundational battle, so Baron did not hide his personal information.
“It’s a member of the Storm guild! And a Bloodthirsty Werewolf!”
“The Bloodthirsty Werewolf class completely counters the Necromancer, right?”
“It’s over. The Necromancer boss is done for!”
“The Eagle Sauce reacted pretty quickly. Otherwise, if they had delayed further, the public opinion storm would have gotten bigger and bigger.”
“It’s about to end. And that Necromancer, what was he thinking, showing off like that? Getting one victory was lucky enough. Did he really think Eagle Nation wouldn’t respond?”
“Now he’s the one capsizing in the drainage ditch.”
…
Currently, the only ones who likely had confidence in Lu Ran were the four guild leaders from Dragon Xia.
“Bloodthirsty Werewolf is a logical choice to counter him. Makes sense.”
“What good will it do? The Werewolf has no ranged skills to instantly kill Lu Ran. Facing Lu Ran’s endless tide of undead, can he kill them all?”
“Even if he gets close, Lu Ran won’t take any damage.”
“This is an unwinnable fight.”
“Wonder if Lu Ran has already used his Blood Spear.”
…
The guild leaders analyzed the situation but weren’t worried.
In a fight where they could see the opponent’s full profile like this, they could instantly make an accurate judgment of the battle’s outcome based on Lu Ran’s abilities.
Countless Dragon Xia combatants all around were watching this scene.
Their expressions were solemn, the noise and chatter much quieter.
Everyone stared intently at the deathmatch room, their expressions grave.
Silently praying, cheering him on!
They knew that Necromancer was fighting for their nation!
And Nanaemi from Sakura was also watching this scene.
Her current mood was hard to describe. This Necromancer gave her an extremely eerie feeling; she simply couldn’t figure him out!
Seeing that a Bloodthirsty Werewolf had come forth to challenge him.
Nanaemi even began to hope that the Werewolf could quickly kill the Necromancer.
That way, she could avoid having to confront him in the future.
Thinking this, Nanaemi’s face changed.
Unconsciously, she had started to shy away from the thought of facing that Necromancer in her heart!
Feeling fear before even fighting!
This wasn’t like Nanaemi at all!
Inside the deathmatch room.
The moment Baron entered, he spotted Lu Ran opposite him.
“So young?” Baron was somewhat surprised.
He then looked at the opponent’s information, but when he saw it clearly, he was utterly stunned. He rubbed his eyes, wondering if he was seeing things.
Level 25?
A Level 25 Necromancer?
How did he kill Land?
According to Neil’s guess, Land had been careless, letting the opponent find an opening, leading to his unexpected defeat.
But they never imagined the opponent was just a Level 25 Necromancer!
Land, equipped with a full set of Black Dragon gear, could just stand there and let him attack. How much damage could he possibly do?
Any random undead summon of Land’s would be enough to crush this Necromancer, right?
After all, how many skills can you have at level 25?
“It seems we were wrong. You aren’t that mysterious Necromancer at all…” Baron said instinctively.
But halfway through his sentence…
Wrong!
This is just an illusion!
Because the facts were right before his eyes: this Necromancer did kill Land!
He had the capability!
At the same time, making eye contact with Lu Ran, Baron saw only indifference and nonchalance in Lu Ran’s eyes.
It sent an involuntary shiver down his spine.
Glancing at the countdown timer, Baron said grimly, “One minute left. I’ll kill you the instant it starts!”
Lu Ran curled his lip.
He stretched lazily and said, “Then give it a try.”
With that, he planted his staff on the ground.
An endless tide of Ancient Golems began erupting forth!
