Honkai: Oh No, I’ve Become the Herrscher of Corruption?! - Chapter 151
Just as the opposing energy blasts from both sides reached a critical point, a massive void suddenly appeared in the sky above Nagazora City. It swallowed Raiden Mei, Murata Himeko, Kiana, and all the energy they had unleashed.
Cut off from the Hyperion, the Nexus system couldn’t provide Himeko with any support. Weak and drained, she collapsed to the ground, barely managing to keep herself upright by leaning on her greatsword.
As she glanced around, she found herself in a strange space. She was just about to observe her surroundings more closely when Raiden Mei’s lightning sphere shot toward her.
In her current state, Murata Himeko lacked the strength to either dodge or block it. She could only watch helplessly as the crackling sphere of lightning grew larger before her eyes…
Just as the lightning sphere was about to hit Himeko, a portal suddenly materialized in front of her. The sphere flew into it and vanished.
Both Raiden Mei and Himeko looked up simultaneously, spotting two new figures ahead—a girl with blue hair and another with purple hair.
“Calm down. What you’re doing isn’t the outcome Kiana would want,” Enoxia said calmly, her gaze fixed on Kiana, who was cradled in Raiden Mei’s arms.
“It’s you two… So you’re not as simple as you appear either. Just who are you?” Though they weren’t in the same grade, Raiden Mei had crossed paths with Enoxia and Sirin a few times during their two years at Senba Academy.
Seemingly sensing that these two were powerful yet held no malice, she slowly lowered her left hand.
“The four of us are alike in many ways. We are both humans and Herrschers.”
“What?!”
Himeko stared at Sirin and Enoxia, her mind suddenly connecting the dots. She remembered reading files about the Second Honkai Eruption after becoming an A-rank Valkyrie.
“You’re… the Herrscher of the Void and the Herrscher of Corruption who appeared during the Second Honkai Eruption!”
Enoxia clapped her hands softly, a smile gracing her lips. “Impressive. As expected of an elite Valkyrie from Schicksal, to remember details from files dating back 14 years so clearly.”
Himeko scanned their surroundings again, murmuring to herself, “So… this is Imaginary Space…”
Meanwhile, Raiden Mei seized on another point. “You said… Kiana… is also a Herrscher?”
Enoxia spread her hands. “Indeed. Otherwise, do you think an ordinary person could survive a direct hit from a Honkai Beast of the Temple-class and still be alive now? Or remain unaffected by the residual energy when you unleash your attacks? Or stay by the side of a Herrscher who has no control over her Honkai energy for so long?”
As if hearing Enoxia mention her, Kiana subconsciously nuzzled closer into Raiden Mei’s embrace.
The look in Raiden Mei’s eyes shifted from suspicion to urgency. She descended to the ground and gently laid Kiana down.
“Do you have a way to wake her up?”
Enoxia smiled and shook her head. “My abilities aren’t suited for healing. If I intervened, you might as well start preparing her funeral. However…” She turned her gaze to Sirin, her tone shifting. “…I can’t, but that doesn’t mean others can’t. Sirin is now not only the Herrscher of the Void but also the Herrscher of Death. If you agree to our condition, we can guarantee her safety.”
Before Enoxia could even state the condition, Raiden Mei answered with firm resolve, “I agree. As long as it’s within my power.”
“Mei, relax. No need for such a grim determination. I’d like us to be good friends, after all. My condition is very simple. It’s just…………”
Both Raiden Mei and Murata Himeko widened their eyes in shock, though for slightly different reasons.
Raiden Mei stared blankly for a few seconds, needing to confirm she hadn’t misheard. “…That’s it? That simple?”
Enoxia leaned in closer, her smile unwavering. “What’s the matter? Unwilling?”
“Willing! Of course, I’m willing! It’s just…”
Enoxia nodded to Sirin, who immediately moved to Kiana’s side and began the treatment.
“Your willingness is all that matters. Don’t worry about the rest. Schicksal won’t refuse me such a small request.”
Himeko, who had been listening all along, finally spoke up as if she’d been holding her breath. “What makes you think Schicksal would agree to a Herrscher’s demands?!”
“Sigh, Himeko… Even in your heart, you don’t truly believe Herrschers and humans are inherently opposed, do you? Even if I told you explicitly that Raiden Mei and Kiana are Herrschers, as long as Schicksal had a way to suppress their Herrscher activities and prevent them from harming humanity, you’d still see them as human, right?”
“Of course, Schicksal agrees to my requests not because I’m so benevolent and willing to tie my own hands. My abilities aren’t particularly suited for dealing with Herrschers, but they are exceptionally effective against humans. If Schicksal can’t even fulfill such a minor request… well, rendering all electronic devices unusably would be the least of their worries. If I were in a bad mood, a couple of nuclear missiles might just find themselves aimed at New York and Nagazora City.”
“You…!”
Though Himeko’s body was extremely weak, the trembling muscles in her face clearly revealed the fury burning within.
Ignoring Himeko’s anger, Enoxia walked over and placed her right hand on Himeko’s head.
The next moment, the already weakened Murata Himeko immediately lost consciousness.
“I’ve altered her memories. From now on, among everyone present here, aside from Sirin, you are the only one whose memories truly include meeting me. As for what kind of story will convince [‘Raiden Mei’], that’s up to you now. A second personality born from Raiden Mei’s Stigma?”
Having seen the memories of another timeline, Enoxia knew that the “Raiden Mei” before her wasn’t actually her Herrscher personality, but rather the will of her Stigma. Her relationship with the original Raiden Mei was more akin to Seele’s ‘Dark’ self versus her ‘Light’ self. The main reason this personality manifested as the “Herrscher personality” was simply because the original Raiden Mei was reluctant to use her Herrscher powers.
Ultimately, this second personality chose a different path from the two Seeles. Before the events of “A Post-Honkai Odyssey,” during the fusion of the primary and secondary personalities, it willingly let the primary consciousness absorb it.
“You know quite a lot. If you can alter her memories, why waste so much breath on explanations?!”
“Those words were meant for you. To make you understand that I’m not some charitable do-gooder without principles. I have my own boundaries and logic for my actions.”
By now, the wounds on Kiana’s back had vanished. Her eyelids fluttered slightly.
“Alright, she should wake up soon.”
Sirin reluctantly returned Kiana to Raiden Mei’s arms. With a snap of her fingers, she precisely transported all three of them onto the deck of the Hyperion. Then, she and Enoxia departed from the Imaginary Space.
On the Hyperion’s deck, the Valkyries, seeing the three suddenly appear and collapse unconscious, immediately rushed to their aid. High above Nagazora City, at an altitude of ten thousand meters, Enoxia and Sirin watched as lightning flashed and thunder rumbled in the distance—signs of Bella engaged in a fierce battle.
“My, oh my. These days, even Raiden Mei, an artificially created Herrscher of Thunder, has her own accompanying Honkai Beast.”
