Honkai: Oh No, I’ve Become the Herrscher of Corruption?! - Chapter 11
“So… you’re going to help?” Sirin watched as Enoxia fell deep into thought.
Enoxia nodded. She had originally decided to alter the course of events to save lives, and though she didn’t understand why five Herrschers had appeared in just seven days, solving the problem now was clearly the priority.
The Herrschers had just emerged—this was when they were at their weakest, and when the most lives could still be saved. By the time Schicksal mobilized their forces, formulated a plan, and arrived, at least one major city would already be in ruins.
“I know what Schicksal did to you—the inhuman experiments, taking your friends from you. I won’t force you to do anything. But if you could lend just a small hand…”
“A small hand?” Sirin tilted her head.
“Use your Void powers to send me there. When I’m done, I’ll toss a few things your way. Just absorb them—they’ll make you stronger.”

“Being able to access all the city’s surveillance cameras makes this way easier.”
Perched atop the Elizabeth Tower, Enoxia peered down at the Herrscher of Death standing on the opposite bank of the Thames.
“Thank goodness I can hijack all of Schicksal’s long-range weapons at any time. Otherwise, I’d have to worry about Otto nuking me mid-fight.” After what happened to Welt, she wasn’t taking any chances with the Overseer’s backstabbing tendencies.
In her right hand, she held a bow—identical in design to Elysia’s signature weapon, Whisper of the Past, but recolored to match her own aesthetic.
“Honkai energy can explain anything, right? So a Herrscher manifesting a weapon out of thin air should be perfectly reasonable.”
Pale violet energy coalesced into an arrow. Enoxia had never trained in archery, but as the Herrscher of Corruption, she had backups stored in Schicksal’s most advanced systems—not just as resurrection anchors, but as real-time combat support.
With multiple cutting-edge systems calculating trajectories, a red targeting reticle appeared before her. She drew the arrow back, aligned it with the marker, and released.
The shot streaked across the river like a comet, striking the Herrscher of Death dead-center.
The explosion sent dust plumes soaring meters into the air, obliterating nearby Honkai beasts and zombies in an instant. As the smoke cleared, a shadowy figure shot toward her at blinding speed.
Enoxia smirked, nocking another arrow. She waited until the enemy was less than a hundred meters away before firing again.
At this range, even without technological aid, the shot couldn’t miss. Yet the Herrscher didn’t slow—if anything, it accelerated, its scythe carving a dark arc through the air.
Enoxia barely had time to react before the blade cleaved through her left arm and wing.
“Good thing I didn’t give this body pain receptors.”
Otherwise, the sheer agony might have knocked her unconscious.
Losing her balance, Enoxia tumbled from the tower’s peak. The Herrscher raised its scythe—now enlarged to over ten meters—and brought it down in a devastating slash. The force sent Enoxia flying while bisecting the Elizabeth Tower in a single stroke.
Skidding across the ground for hundreds of meters, Enoxia barely managed to stand before the Herrscher dove at her again. In desperation, she conjured a greatsword to block—
“What—?!”
The blade disintegrated on contact. The scythe pierced her chest, and her body unraveled like frayed thread, dissolving into nothingness. To any observer, it would seem Enoxia had picked a fight with Death… and lost spectacularly.
The Herrscher took a few casual steps before its legs buckled. It collapsed to its knees, convulsing violently.
Because Enoxia’s real attack had only just begun.
Ever since becoming the Herrscher of Corruption, one question had gnawed at her:
If I can corrupt any machine or living being… does that include other Herrschers?
Now was her chance to find out.
From the start, she’d never intended to fight head-on. Her goal was infiltration—to invade and subvert another Herrscher from within.
“Spread. Multiply. Saturate every last cell!”
The corruption virus erupted from her point of contact, flooding through the Herrscher’s body.
Inside, Enoxia found herself adrift in an endless black mist—the embodiment of Death’s withering power. Her initial attempts to disperse it only succeeded at the cost of her own Honkai energy.
So she gathered nearly all her remaining strength and launched herself toward the Herrscher’s core.
The journey felt like being dragged into the ocean’s depths. Crushing pressure threatened to tear her apart at every turn. Fortunately, a Herrscher’s Honkai energy circulated rapidly, allowing her to traverse its body at incredible speeds.
After what felt like an eternity, she reached her destination.
Yae Sakura had once regained control of her body through sheer willpower after being infected. Expecting similar resistance, Enoxia braced herself—only to find none.
The Herrscher of Death’s core lay utterly defenseless.
Back in the physical world, a hand burst from the convulsing Herrscher’s chest—clutching its core. Like a human losing their heart, the Herrscher crumpled lifelessly to the ground.
“Thank you.”
The words echoed in Enoxia’s mind as the Herrscher’s eyes—once dull and lifeless—flickered with clarity one final time before closing forever.
Even as a Herrscher herself, emerging from Death’s body left Enoxia reeling. It took several minutes before she could stand steadily again.
She knew corrupting another Herrscher wouldn’t be easy—they were beings of equal standing. So she hadn’t aimed for total control. Just one moment of vulnerability was enough.
The instant she seized command, she ordered the Herrscher to lower all defenses—long enough to extract its core.
Still, the toll far exceeded her expectations. In her current state, facing even a pseudo-Herrscher would be a gamble.

The Herrscher of Death’s signal vanishes. But a third of London had already been reduced to a dead city.
