The Uninvited Guests in Jiang Fei’s Office
Aside from Xu Jing, Xia Xiaozhi and Tan Yuan also barged into Jiang Fei’s office. These three girls, who had a bit of a rebellious streak, were almost always together.
“Uncle Jiang, what were you doing just now? Why was there such a strong wind…?” Xu Jing asked, her hands clutching the hem of her skirt. Her delicate, fair face was flushed, and her shy eyes glanced at Jiang Fei.
Xu Jing was just like the first time Jiang Fei had met her. Though her mind was just as mischievous as Xia Xiaozhi and Tan Yuan’s, and she understood just as much as they did, she still blushed easily, giving off a fragile, flower-like aura.
But… even though she was shy, every time she looked at Jiang Fei, there was a subtle hint of “playing hard to get” in her expression!
Her watery eyes seemed to say, “I’m shy, but if you want to do something, I won’t stop you…”
That look, combined with her face and figure, was absolutely lethal!
Even Jiang Fei, who didn’t consider himself a “lolicon” or have any weird uncle-like tendencies, couldn’t help but feel a strong, almost primal urge to do something reckless—like taking her to see goldfish or something.
“What’s going on?” Xia Xiaozhi and Tan Yuan, who hadn’t felt the gust of wind, asked as they entered the office.
Xu Jing glanced shyly at Jiang Fei again, her face red as she shook her head. “It’s nothing, really…”
Seeing Xu Jing’s reaction, Xia Xiaozhi, with her mushroom-cut hair, eyed both her and Jiang Fei suspiciously. Xu Jing was terrible at lying—her expressions always gave her away.
“Students, are you here for a consultation? You don’t have an appointment, do you? The consultation area isn’t here. You’ve come to the wrong place…” A nurse, who had just noticed the three girls barging into Jiang Fei’s private office, hurried over.
She had been instructed not to allow ordinary patients into Jiang Fei’ office. Regular patients were to be handled by the other five doctors. Only those with prior appointments or cases that the other doctors couldn’t handle would be referred to Jiang Fei.
At that moment, Lin Moli, who had been busy with work, noticed the commotion and said to the nurse, “Xiao Liu, it’s fine. Those three girls are friends of Dr. Jiang.”
“Ah, okay,” the young nurse, who looked to be in her early twenties, nodded and left.
After getting a good look at Xia Xiaozhi and Xu Jing, she couldn’t help but mutter to herself, “Dr. Jiang really has a lot of beautiful women around him. There’s Vice President Lin, and now these two pretty students. Looks like us nurses don’t stand a chance…”
Jiang Fei was young, wealthy, handsome, and incredibly skilled in medicine. Naturally, he was the ideal partner for the young nurses, and many of them had developed a crush on him since meeting him. However, after seeing Lin Moli, most of them gave up. Compared to Lin Moli, they were completely out of their league.
Lin Moli, standing by the office door, glared at Jiang Fei from a distance but didn’t enter. She was too busy with work. As a major shareholder of the new hospital, she had a lot on her plate during the opening. Once things settled down, she’d have more free time.
As for Xia Xiaozhi, Lin Moli had already met Jiang Fei’s tutoring student, who had been freeloading meals at Jiang Fei’s house lately. However, for some reason, Xia Xiaozhi and her friends were wary of Lin Moli and seemed to resent her.
Lin Moli, on the other hand, was magnanimous and trusted Jiang Fei enough not to feel threatened by three high school girls. She never saw Xia Xiaozhi or Xu Jing as competition and simply let them be.
When Xia Xiaozhi noticed Lin Moli’s gaze, she pouted unhappily and closed the office door behind her after entering. Tan Yuan leaned in and whispered in her ear, “That Sister Lin is really something. Look at how she’s dressed today—so elegant, like a fox spirit. Men love that kind of look. Xiaozhi, if you want to defeat her and protect your ‘uncle,’ it’s not going to be easy. I think she’s an even bigger threat than Xu Jing. Maybe you and Xu Jing should stop fighting each other for now and focus on the real enemy!”
“I know! But Uncle Jiang really likes her. They’re even running a hospital together now. What can I do?” Xia Xiaozhi grumbled softly, then shot Tan Yuan a sideways glance. “Yuan, why are you so invested in this? Do you like Uncle Jiang too?”
Tan Yuan scoffed quietly. “Don’t be ridiculous. You know I’m not into older guys. I like Korean oppas.”
“Then why are you so interested?”
“Xiaozhi, you’re breaking my heart. We’re sisters—can’t I care about you?” Tan Yuan adjusted her black-framed glasses and pretended to be hurt. But seeing Xia Xiaozhi’s skeptical look, she couldn’t hold back a grin. “Okay, fine. I admit it. I’m rooting for you or Xu Jing to win over Uncle Jiang because then he’ll be ‘ours.’ I can call him anytime to cook delicious food for me!”
“…”
Jiang Fei, who had just finished practicing the incomplete Tai Chi set, was still exhilarated. The power of this Tai Chi far exceeded his expectations. Even at Level 1, this incomplete version could make him a true martial arts master!
“Those 120 skill points were totally worth it!” Jiang Fei thought happily.
He avoided meeting Xu Jing’s shy, inviting gaze. He knew all too well that this “loli” with her innocent face and voluptuous figure wasn’t as demure as she appeared. She could be just as troublesome as Xia Xiaozhi—if not more so, given her looks and figure.
“Why are you here?” Jiang Fei asked with a smile, avoiding any explanation about the wind.
Before Xu Jing could answer, Xia Xiaozhi ran over and boldly grabbed Jiang Fei’s arm. “Uncle Jiang, your hospital just opened today. Of course, we had to come and show our support!”
Not to be outdone, Xu Jing, throwing her shyness aside, grabbed Jiang Fei’s other arm and looked up at him bravely. “Yeah, it’s Sunday, and we don’t have classes this afternoon. So we came to cheer you on!”
High schools usually only gave students two days off per month, with weekends reserved for half-day breaks on Sunday afternoons.
With the intoxicating scent of two teenage girls wafting from either side, Jiang Fei reluctantly pulled his arms free from the “mountains” pressing against them—one pair towering and the other perfectly sized. This was a hospital office, after all. Such behavior was inappropriate.
“Well, thank you for your support,” Jiang Fei said with a smile.
Tan Yuan walked over and shook her head. “No need to thank us, Uncle Jiang. You’re always cooking delicious food for us. It’s only fair we come to cheer you on. By the way, our final exams are coming up. You promised to take us to your villa, remember?”
Jiang Fei chuckled. So, he really did owe these girls his gratitude for their support.
“Once your exams are over, I’ll definitely take you to the villa,” Jiang Fei promised.
Xia Xiaozhi, however, didn’t seem as excited. She pouted and said, “Uncle Jiang, you’ve been tutoring me less and less lately. My mom’s been complaining. Honestly, I don’t mind if you stop tutoring me… but at least come home and cook for me! Look how much weight I’ve lost!”
“Didn’t you always say you wanted to lose weight? Isn’t this what you wanted?” Jiang Fei teased. But after a moment of hesitation, he added seriously, “Xiaozhi, I plan to stop being your tutor after this month. Once summer break starts, I won’t be tutoring you anymore.”
Jiang Fei had never been enthusiastic about being a tutor in the first place. Now that he had opened a hospital and built a villa in Daocun, it was only a matter of time before he quit. It was better to give Xia Xiaozhi a heads-up now.
